Hey Insiders!

Very glad to announce that the Android Pie 9.0 Update is now rolling out to Razer Phone 1 devices right now!

I personally want to thank you all for being so patient, I know this was a long time coming but thank you for holding on and sticking with the team.

Now go get your pie update!

EDIT: There is currently an issue with the camera in the latest update.

If you have do not disturb switched on the camera will force close. For now please turn those function off until a fix is rolled out.

File size is 56mb if you had pie already or 1.2GB if you're on Oreo. Changlog is the exact same but unofficially this build fixes the Game Booster issue.

Still waiting for confirmation for carrier rollout.

Really glad to see this update going out for you all 🙂 you've all been extremely patient and I thank you for hanging in there! Remember this update is because all of you have been amazing!

Uh, I want to know too. Have Hammerhead BT but no codecs on phone :frown_:

Whats up with the dolby atmos presets? Game preset is missing and I would like to be able to easy switch them from the drop down menu. I am not happy.

World of tanks blitz finally up to 120 fps. My first game ever that actually does that. So it wasnt for nothing after all.

Hey everyone

There is a bug with the do not disturb function on this update. Having it switched on results in the camera not working.

I've passed this on but for now if you need the camera please remember to have the do not disturb switched off before you launch the camera.

No idea I'm afraid.

Last time the update rolled out with Three at the same time but I'd only be speculating about its status this time.

I'm using the Phone 2, but I was able to get the Pie update for Phone 2 when it first released when I switched to wi-fi. Try that?

So far so good for me. Just using critical apps like Yahoo mail and so on. I don't play games though..

I'm having issues with the wifi. It sees the SSID's but no connection to them. Already restart, forget them, configure them again, but no connection.

Any thoughts?

I've played Real Racing 3, browsed here and there, played some Clash Royale and ClClans games and had no issues so far.

I'm from Bulgaria and the update rolled several hours ago. I was checking manually for update every day, there was no auto update notification.

jerupick666, try to restart the router. I'm writing from wifi connected RP1 device, the update didn't broke the wifi for me.

Do you have night light on? Pull down the notification bar and see if night light is enabled.

It's not, that makes it even more weird colored. Right now it's subtly off the white level that it used to be and there is no apparent option to manually change/adjust it.

I’ve noticed it as well, however given the previous calibration was in the 7300-7400K range this is likely far closer to accurate. Rather pleased that they have improved the tuning in response to formal display analysis. Hopefully this isn’t a bug and will stay as the display seems to be improved in terms of absolute accuracy.

EDIT: Game Booster is broken.

I'll get this passed on asap but for now just reset game booster

(System settings>game booster> tap the reset icon on the top right hand corner) and don't change any settings for now.

Due to the game booster issue the update has been temporarily pulled. I'll let you know when the update is live again.

Front LED is green while charging. Should be red until charged. How do I send this info to the developers?

Phone gets hotter than usual during gaming (im not charging it at the same time) and it auto reduces screen brightness significantly. Tried reducing cpu clock speed but still same.

I have been very disappointed to. I have the RP1 and a RP2. The RP2 has never had the game preset and others.

Ahh that means they aint coming back. You just murdered my being right there :(

Judging by their support of the RP so far i guess these bugs aint going away anytime soon. I suppose it was unrealistic to expect anything better than the worst.
