DumpsterJi am with you on this man - if they are going to release soemthing like this and charge so much, they should have made sure the case was good enought to be used as an everyday case otherwise whats the point man... ...nevertheless i use it as an every day case now anyway because if i didnt there wouldbe no point in buying this thing
They really need to release a sturdier case for this set. I just got my junglecat yesterday. Replace my 10 dollar clear cheap case with the junglecat case. The clear case is cheap but covers the front edges of the phone. Ive dropped my phone in the parking lot at least a dozen times with absolutely no damage to the phone. Today I dropped it and it cracked my clear glass screen protector and visibly dinged the top of the grill on the front of the phone. Very disappointed with this case. You have made better cases before for this very phone. How about putting the Junglecat mount on something like those.
NK.33I am using the battery levels to gauge recharge in the app user/account menu ~100hrs is a long time I have about 12-15hrs on the initial charge. Also, since the app update Friday, I haven't launched from the app due to app crash from trying to connect to Google play with the overlay option.
one more thing i noticed - even with the razer Gamepad app installed there is no way to tell how much battery is left on these things until they start flashing red or whatever - then its probably to late - or u are in a swamp somewhere with not usb!!
NK.33Yeah there is a battery gauge for the controllers buried in there they just have a really piss-poor way to get to it that is not intuitive at all.

andrewr90bro thanks for this man I had no clue

andrewr90this would be sick - so many games dont support pads at all - would this allow you to map buttons to places on screen? and look movement?
I'm really excited about the update that just came to the gamepad app, being able to overlay and map inputs for unsupported games is fantastic, I had two unsupported games with really simple input that I was missing out on playing now I will get to play them with the Junglecat. I also have a pocket drone that you fly via phone app with simple thumb controls and I haven't tried it yet but I'm 99% sure this is going to enable me to fly my drone via the Junglecat, which is going to be sweeeeet! With the overlay ability I feel like I got my monies worth now for sure!
NK.33Yep! You have to download an Octopus plugin and give it a BUNCH of permissions for it to be able to run over-top of your games, then you launch an unsupported game via gamepad with the option for using the overlay. There will be a tiny button on the edge of the screen you press to pop open and then you place touch-mapping points for buttons and joystick/wheels etc and line it all up, and then you play! Nobody has posted a youtube video yet and I really don't have time today so I'm sure someone will beat me to it, people are kinda not on the ball with this for some reason but betcha pretty soon it will be posted on youtube someone will demo it for ya. I only saw it right before bed last night, played truck simulator off-road 4 which has no controller support but I used the overlay plugin to map the steering wheel to the left stick and put A and X buttons for the gas and brake, and then I was playing! I really wish I had some free time to show it off on a short video but I'm just too busy/have too much going on this week. Would be a huge boost to my youtube channel to be one of the first to show it off but its just not gonna happen at this rate.

andrewr90Bro - 100% they released this after they saw what Asus were bringing out. their new gaming handset (Asus ROG 2) does all of this and more - you need to check it out - i was so close to buying it ...until i saw the Junglecat - and that settled it - i suddenly didn't need the Asus. It has a docking accesory with 1gbps ethernet and usb ports - it also has an accesory which gives it 2 screens!! Check the review below by this dude - its so sick!!

andrewr90Bro - you are a brave man - if i whipped out my phone and started gaming while running errands with the missus.....she would rinse me man!
Ok, I dig it. The Asus ROG 2 is its own level of insanity. Razer will either have to knock it out of the park with the RP3 or bow out of the mobile game. I still feel really good with my RP2 though. Why? Because I only paid $349 for it new. Then I played enough cortex mobile to get a discount on my Junglecat, and I'm gaming happy as all get out for less than half of buying just the ROG 2 by itself. Asus is all in with their docks, I see. that. It makes me sad that they abandoned project linda because that would have been a no-brainer purchase for me. More for my work/productivity than gaming although with steamlink/moonlight it still wouldn't be out of the question. I have played steam games via my phone connected to an HDMI display and mouse/keyboard just to try it, works pretty decently. As long as they are still selling the RP2s at $349/$399, they are the best value in mobile gaming I'd say. If I actually had to pay the full $799 it would be a little bit tougher choice. I appreciate that the RP2 isn't as wild in the styling department as the ROG 2, and I like that the Junglecat is a bit more portable than Asus's version. I've been cruising around with my Junglecat in my coat pocket, slap it on and play a little here and there as the Wife and I drive around doing errands etc. We were hanging out with two other people on Sunday and all four of us where playing phone games while killing time before going to see a movie, I was the only one with the benefit of controllers AND my setup cost less than anybody else's at the table. ROG 2 may be the biggest beast in the land currently but I'm good with my RP2+Junglecat, I still have money in my pocket and happier than heck.
unsponsoredgeekwindows 10 also detects it as a controller via bluetooth and it works just like an Xbox 1 controller does
I have one now. I was a little disappointed Armajet wasn't supported out-of-the-box. I will have to do some tinkering with their app to see if I can get it to work. I second the motion that the small size is a major selling point. I can only hope they add it to Razer Synapse 3 for PC since it is a really nice little controller in its own right.
NK.33Make your own, about 85% done with the one below and its working out very well.
does anyone know of any 3rd party who has made a copy of this case which is better than Razer's one? I would pay becuase the case it comes with is just not that good...
MrRaptor63you mean with a 3d printer? I havent got one... if you can send me the plan for that one i can send it off to get 3d printed...

NK.33No, I used a silicone RP2 case and one of the included Samsung cases to build this one; post #36 in this thread for reference.

sourcebytePeachYellow116I would have thought the PS4 remote play ap would pick up the game pad perfectly automatically just like the Moonlight app does for streaming PC games...does it not? Have you tried it without the plugin (ie just launching it normally)?
Hey guys. don't know if anyone else mentioned this issue but when I use the octopus plugin, the right analog stick does not seem to map the same way as the right. Its stutters in game, and if i try to pull it down it acts as if i'm flicking it instead of moving smoothly like the left analog. I've seen the issue described here: http://bbs.phoenixstudio.org/en/showthread.php?tid=13202 Which theorizes that this is not a big but a feature. It makes playing certian dual analog apps impossible, notably the PS4 remote play. i downloaded the panda game-pad app and had the same exact issue, which sucks because other than that everything else works perfectly. Is there anyway to fix this right analog behavior? I've tried changing the speed and the radius of the button, no go. The right analog works fine in games that support the controller, this is just in the touch overlay games that this issue occurs. Flydigi controllers have had this overlay functionality working for a while, but I love the jungle cat slide on design much better. Really hope someone has a fix.
NK.33The remote play app only supports PS4 controllers on Android 10. So that's not an option unfortunately. It only supports touch input on Android 9 and below. Also, the right analog issue is not unique to the remote play app, it behaves the same on any app where I use the octopus plugin. I'm looking for a cross app solution.
