Just tried bluetooth instead of the USB dongle and it appears to have resolved the static during streams.
Edit: After connecting to bluetooth, some audio doesn’t work. Can hear people on discord, and they can hear me, but I am unable to hear audio from YT videos.
Edit 2: The bluetooth not having static is actually because when I connect the headset to my PC via bluetooth, I actually get no audio from any streaming site (youtube, netflix, amazon, etc). I can hear my discord call just fine, and people can hear me, but no audio when connected to bluetooth. Another thing to note is that when connecting via Bluetooth, the headset doesn’t seem to be picked up by Razer synapse.
When connected with the wireless dongle, the only issue is that while streaming I have a loud static sound for any people viewing my stream. I have tried disabling all enhancements and audio/mic enhancements when connected via USB. I have also tried another port on my PC.
Any fixes yet? Having the exact same issues over here on my end, really annoying as everything about this headset is an absolute beauty EXCEPT for screensharing.
I have exact the same problem :(
I’m sure a solution will be found soon, the headset is still really new and errors, especially with a brand-new microphone and other things that are newly released, may need some ironing out. Love this headset and I’ll be sticking with it to see if Razer can solve all the little things because the microphone is downright jaw dropping when it comes to a wireless mic.
I have a similar issue but it will make a REALLY loud static noise randomly. I’ve got the Blackshark V2 headset. I have to unplug the USB and replug to stop the noise temporarily. I just bought it not too long ago.
Update: I’ve found a bit of a fix. Inside of discord settings, I went to voice & video, and scrolled down to the advanced settings. I disabled the option “Use an experimental method to capture audio from applications” and this fixed the buzzing in most instances. I have been able to stream games without issue, and streaming shows/youtube in Firefox. Whenever I stream anything in Chrome (specifically youtube) there is no audio. This has been a good enough fix for me for now. Looking forward to future driver updates.
Same problem. Incredibly frusterating issue with a brand new headset. I love it otherwise.
Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with my new Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 model. I purchased and received it less than a week ago, made sure to apply all updates to both the headset and attached USB dongle, and am experiencing the following issue:
Whenever I am streaming (game/show/movie/anything) in Discord, whoever is viewing the stream hears a buzz in the background. I quickly plugged in my old headset (non Razer, wired headset+mic) and the stream is no longer buzzing. My Windows is fully updated, the Razer headset is set as my default mic in windows, etc. I can’t think of any reason as to why the headset would be affecting stream audio. I have even tried muting my mic during stream. Also, the static/buzzing sound does not happen during regular voice calls in discord. I’ve also tested several other calling apps (teams, regular phone calls, etc) and have no audio issues. I have not tried streaming video on any other platform as I don’t really have another platform to test on.
I’m not sure if this is enough information, but I would really appreciate any assistance in solving this issue. Thank you!

Hey autoPerubay763, a_town, DIGIENTH, Problemat1c, and TheDoctorGER! Is the headset’s firmware up to date? Otherwise, check if the static happens when the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro is paired to another computer or device. Should the issue persists, please submit a case here or send me a PM so I can help you kickstart an investigation. Thanks for your cooperation.
I also have the same issue; here’s what I found.
It seems like certain applications like Discord or League of Legends is constantly giving out static noise if you check the volume mixer when you have the programs running even without having any sound come out from it.
For example, if I login to Discord, my volume mixer shows two Discord app and one is constantly outputting max noise although I don’t hear it from the headset itself. I checked whether if lowering that certain bar in the volume mixer reduces the noise and I checked from Discord streaming that the noise went away.
When I run applications like League of Legends, it gives me the same result where Windows volume mixer is showing maximum noise volume being outputted. The moment I reduce the bars of this program in Windows volume mixer to minimum, you can notice that there’s less hiss coming out from the headset.
- Running certain applications seems to output max noise. Not that audible from the headset wearer but audible hiss compared to the older generation Razer Blackshark V2 Pro
- Streaming over Discord picks up static noise from certain applications (including Discord itself)
- I say certain applications because I haven’t had the chance to check this on other programs or browsers that output sound. But Windows system volume doesn’t seem to have any issue. I hope somebody can check this.
- I own both V2 Pro and V2 Pro (2023), but this issue only seems to appear in the 2023 version.
I hope Razer can find fix for this. Hoping that it can be fixed through driver update.
Edit1:
The above issue appears with using dongle. Have not tested for Bluetooth. Firmware update is at its latest at the time of writing.

I appreciate your feedback regarding the headset’s audio quality-related concern. Please submit a support ticket through this link so the team can initiate an investigation or send me a PM so submit a case on your behalf.
I am glad to hear other people are experiencing this issue and it’s not just my unit. I just received this headset today and really hope it can be fixed soon via a driver update. I am also on the latest firmware.
Same exact issue. Stream anything on discord buzzing sound starts. This is the only headset I have issues with. I was giving razer another chance after being burnt by previous headsets with cheap plastic breaking so easily. Now I can’t stream gameplay to friends or host any stream without this buzzing sound. Still sad to see no fix.
Hey MrMX198 and RUBYsoloOceanGreen388! Sad to hear that you are also experiencing static noise from the headset while using Discord. I suggest submitting a case number through this link so our Support Team can collate all the affected users and report it to our Development Team. Your joint interest is highly appreciated.
So Razer told me I'm going to need to send it to their facilities and wait until they recieve it before they'll consider sending me a new one. Looks like I'll be sending this back to Amazon, cause I'm not going to go through all of that when Amazon is so much faster and easier. And this all comes after i exausted all possible fixes through their customer support tickets. Sorry fellas, it's not looking good.

I understand if you felt that sending the device for replacement is over the top. However, this is part of the investigation, as the team needs to retrieve the reported devices. Can you send me your case number via PM so I can review its history and notify the ticket handler? I’ll wait for your update.
If you're experiencing static while streaming on Discord with your Razer Blackshark V2 Pro headset, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to address the issue:
Check headset connections: Ensure that all the connections between your headset and your computer or device are secured and properly plugged in. Sometimes, loose connections can cause audio issues.
Update audio drivers: Make sure you have the latest audio drivers installed on your computer. Outdated or incompatible drivers can lead to audio problems. Visit the manufacturer's website or use a driver update utility to check for updates and install them if available.
Adjust Discord settings: Within Discord, check your voice settings and make adjustments to see if they can help reduce or eliminate the static. You can try lowering the input sensitivity, disabling automatic gain control (AGC), or adjusting the noise suppression settings. Experiment with these settings to find the best configuration for your specific setup.
Test on different devices: Try using your Razer Blackshark V2 Pro headset with a different device or computer to see if the static issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is specific to your computer or if it's related to the headset itself.
Test with different applications: Test the headset on different streaming applications or voice chat platforms to see if the static occurs across all applications or if it's specific to Discord. This will help identify if the issue is Discord-related or not.
Disable other audio enhancements: If you have any additional audio enhancements or equalizer settings enabled on your computer, try disabling them temporarily. Sometimes, conflicting audio settings can cause static or distortion.
Remember to test your headset after each step to see if the static problem has been resolved before moving on to the next one.
I really wish we still had the option to plug the audio analog so that I could simply switch to that whenever recording or streaming. As someone who streams on Twitch, I can’t even use this headset due to the incredible amount of buzzing being picked up whenever I use this headset. There doesn’t seem to be a way to use it wired sadly, unlike its predecessor.
lol imagine going through TS and submitting a ticket and they tell you hey can you send us the headset. This is all Razer 2023 blackshark headsets. How about you do this razer unbox your own headset plug it in go to discord stream any game and have anyone else stream your game. Instead of leaving me without a headset for a week or more because shipping is slow atm. You guys see the complains, you can’t be this daft.
Just wondering how many did mic setup in windows. Also have you ran sfc and dism commands in console, then reboot. You can search their usage. Also installed all windows updates and windows store updates????
Static for wired normally cable not fully plugged in. For wireless normally gain or volume settings are setup wrong damaged audio files or setup done wrong. A few times I even seen video drivers effect audio.
Also having this issue. I’ve tried every possible solution I can think of, but I’ll probably be returning these soon if there isn’t any update. It’s unfortunate because everything else has been great, but I’m not giving up the ability to stream things with audio. Maybe one day Razer can put out something without a glaring flaw :(
If you try all the stuff I posted software and firmware been update. I report to support the program and software version so they can investigate the problem.
Hi everyone! Razer is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. Our Devs Team confirmed the behavior last May 22, 2023, that a popping/buzzing sound was heard from the live stream in Discord or any other platform while using the BlackShark V2 Pro. There’s no exact date when the official workaround/fix will be released. I’ll keep everyone posted. You may check your Razer Synapse 3.0’s update section from time to time. Feel free to submit a case to our Support Team or send me a PM. Thanks for everyone’s cooperation and understanding.
Hey 8 days later got my headset recently and i have the exact same problem as everyone above. Seems to be a common issue glad to see there's workarounds and a solution on the way
still upset though streaming is really important hope to see this fixed quick seems like its taking a white at the moment
