When I have to update or reinstall Synapse, I always have to disable Defender protection, will it be possible to fix this in the future? I can understand if it happened with 3rd party AV, but this is the native Windows AV, it should have some priority...
I do not use Windows AV (I use Norton). In Norton, I can specify a trusted process (e.g. IB TradeStation, which also auto updates frequently) so the process is allowed to replace files.
Not sure whether Windows AV has the same. I guess Windows AV does not think Synapse should be a trusted process :-)

With Defender can be specify files and folders to exclude from scanning, however I don't like excluding the entire folder where Synapse installs, and I have no idea which specific files are causing the problem. Some time ago it was the folder where the uninstallation files were placed, but one of the last times I tried, just excluding that folder didn't work.
