My summarizing my 3 month usage of the year 2017 model of Razer blade pro 17 with 4k screen , 32gb ram and 1tb SSD , fitted with Nvidia gtx 1080 . Out of the box , it was hot like hell and throttles badly. It has excellent and top end components all badly fitted into a poorly cooling design razer chassis. The heavens 4 score was only 2600+. after a series of tweaks as follows 1. repasting with LM 2. thermal pads added at Ram , PCH , NVME 3. Disabling raid 0 and running it as normal NVME ( much improved write / read than raid0 as raid0 will heating up the nvme really fast) 3. undervolting CPU and GPU 4. fans leaks seal 5. additional copper pipes mods The best results i got from heavens 4 benchmark is 4232 ! this performance is probably higher than most rtx 2080 Max q laptop. To summarize, in order for any gaming laptop to reach the maximum performance of it's hardware, cooling is of utmost importance. Hi there, does anyone have an image of some video that shows the german keyboard layout of the new Blade 2020 ? All I can find is non-german layouts, and as I am very picky about my keyboard (currently stuck on Razer Blade late-2016), I want to look at it without buying it unseen. Thanks for any hint.

I just recently bought a razor raptor 27" display to use as a main display for my blade 15 (late 2019) with the 4k touch screen. the setup looks beautful and im very happy with both but when gaming on with the monitor connected I noticed that when I go to do anything on the second display(the blade 15's built in display) that the main display will go black for about a second or 2 and then turn back on its as if a setting on the monitor is being turned on or off this also happens when going back to the game on the main display is there anyway to fix this? it is connected to the laptop via usb -c

I have a 2017 Razer Blade Pro 4K, it died (won't power on, just flashes an LED), upon sending it to Razer they say it needs a new motherboard, and the total repair bill is over $1500USD - seems insane really, that's pretty much the cost you're buying them at now. Are there any alternative laptop repair places in the US that may be able to help make this a little more affordable?

I have a 2018 Razer Blade 15 Advance with the NVIDIA 2080 RTX. Did some reading and I think the nvidia gpu will only output through the hdmi port (disappointing) and not the USB c. I've got one of these https://plugable.com/products/ud-ultcdl/ So can I...plug a 4k display to the hdmi port and then use Dock above to output to 2/3 more external monitors using displaylink. I presume that I would need to configure the display adaptor setting to select which monitor gets which gpu output? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey there, I have very "frist world Problem". I am currently using 3 external Monitors attached to my Laptop. Due to the current Situation, I am constantly running out of Monitor-Space to put all the Windows. Now I am curious how many more external Monitors could possibly be attached. Does anyone know the Limit ? (I am running (Arch-)Linux on my machine. But this should not make much of a difference ;-)) Thank you in advance :D

I haven't seen many people posting their 2019 Blade Stealth's with a skin applied. I'm thoroughly impressed with this dbrand skin! No more fingerprints and super easy to install!

I didn't find this on the forums (but I'm also new so maybe I didn't search correctly). Regarding the base part of the monitor stand (part that makes contact with the desk), does anybody know the length and width measurements of this part? My desk has a monitor stand and I'm wondering if it will fit on this. Thanks in advance for any details you can provide! The areas in yellow are the measurements i'm requesting :)

PL2 stands for "Protection Level 2" and shows as a limit reason in throttlestop which by default is not a good sign. I explain what PL2 is, where the value for it is located and more importantly show how you can easily use it to lower temperatures of your Razer Blade etc.

Hey guys, I have the RB15 Advanced (Mid 2019) with RTX 2080 MAX-Q. Recently I upgraded to the Crucial Balistix 64GB 3200MHZ RAM kit, and I can't get it to run at 3200MHZ. I have tried the XMP Profile 1 in BIOS and the laptop will not restart (just hangs, blank screen then restarts and repeat). Can anybody help me with this? Thank you in advance. Jeff

I picked up a Powercolor egpu 550w for 150 bucks and decided to test it with the 2019 razer blade stealth 13 i7 8565U + MX150 4GB. I am using a old GTX 760 windforce to play need for speed most wanted on the TV which only maxes out at 30fps playing need for speed most wanted, I can hook it up to my monitor which most likely will run better, 550w is more then enough to power a good GPU and charge laptop, but I decided to order a SF600 from corsair! its modular too! I also will be upgrading the GPU to possibly a gtx 1080.

So I'm kinda boring and prefer the keyboard backlight to stay a standard white colour. Obviously you can easily choose this setting within the synapse settings. However, this only kicks in once windows has loaded up, so while the computer is booting up keyboard still cycles through the various colours. Is there a way to make the keyboard boot up in just white rather than cycling through the colours? Or even have the backlight stay off until windows and synapse have booted up? Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys, coming back after a while, because my Blade 2016 GTX1060 is not starting again. I had this issue back in January 2018, had to send it to a Razer selected German repair-guy. He replaced the PCBA, and it work again... not perfectly but it worked. Now, April 2020, same issue occurs again. Just find somebody who post a video of the problem in September 2018: /razer-blade-2016-full-hd-black-screen-not-starting.42344/ Is it normal it happened again ? can I repair it myself now it is out of warranty ? Hi guys, I bought a Blade 15 Advanced (early 2019 I think) a few weeks ago (brand new). In the first couple weeks, putting the battery mode in power saver and switching the screen to 60Hz I was able to get about 5.5 hours of battery life without changing anything else, pretty much what I expected. This week, however, no matter what I do I can't get the battery to last more than a couple hours. I don't think I changed any other settings before that, but now even putting the screen on min brightness, keyboard backlighting off, and keeping just one tab of chrome open doesn't help the battery life at all. I downloaded ThrottleStop to see my CPU power usage and it appears it uses 9-14W on battery saver which seems to be much higher than it should be and could be draining battery, although I don't know how to fix that. Any thoughts? Edit: The CPU power usage is now down to 1.4W for some reason, but it still does not make a significant impact on battery life. At 99%, it predicts 2:44, about

My system is 1. Blade V6 2. CORE X Chroma /w RTX2080 Super 3. Apple Thunderbolt2 display Recently, I bought CORE X Chroma with RTX 2080 Super, Do you have an idea how could I connect three of them? Before I purchased it, I run Blade V6(Thunderbot3) > Apple thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter > Apple Thunderbolt display(Thunderbolt 2). Now, CORE X (Thunderbolt3) > Blade V6 > CORE X(RTX 2080 display port)> how can I connect to Apple Thunderbolt Display? Anyone who is running three systems above? Please advise me. Thanks

My Razer Blade Stealth 13" desktop wont stop blinking. When I click anything, aside from Task Manager, it just stops it and goes back to the desktop, even if its the windows key. When I go into task manager, it shows the file explorer is using a lot of the cpu, and running for about 1 min will make the laptop burning hot. Hi, newbie here with Razer brand :) I am using the Blade 15 with GTX 1660, and I just purchased a Core X Chroma and just put in RTX2060S. I cannot get Windows 10 to use the RTX2060S, both graphic cards show up in "Device Mangers", but as of now, only the GTX1660 can be used. The 2060S has an error code 43 when I click on details. Anyone has this setup or has experienced this before? How did you solve it?

First off I want to say I love this laptop and am making this thread to be sure I don't break it. 144hz panel/1660ti/i7 9750H model. I let Windows 10 go through its updates then installed GeForce Experience, anything in Razer Synapse I've left to default so far including the "Balanced" power settings and auto fans, and haven't done much on it yet besides install Steam and Blizzard launcher. Not sure if it's advised to change the power mode for gaming laptops. When I installed World of Warcraft it set my graphics settings to 7 recommended. I changed the FPS cap from 100, to 144 to match the refresh rate. When I play with these settings the game runs very smooth @144fps/1080p, couldn't be happier. But the laptops fans immediately sound like I'm over stressing it. The space between the keyboard and screen area feels pretty hot, only within minutes of playing. Hey folks. It's been (almost) a year since I bought my first Razer laptop, a lovely Razer Blade Stealth, and I thought I'd share my findings with you! Lots of reviews I find are about first impressions, which are handy, but I find few people write about their longer term impressions. Some background on me to start. I'm a game developer from Toronto. I've always been an advocate of developers like myself having two computers; a big ol' PC desktop and a sleek MacBook laptop. PC Desktop runs everything and can be upgraded easily, and the MacBook laptop is sturdy to carry around and generally very very very reliable. In 2017 I upgraded to the 15" MacBook Pro from that year. It was a huge disappointment. MacBooks suck now? Performance was disappointing. My right speaker 'melted' and didn't make sound properly. Boot Camp didn't work properly. I tried to stay positive about having nothing but USB-C ports, but folks, we need more than just USB-C ports. I'm sure you've all heard of the keyboar

I just got my new Razer Blade 13 GTX. However, I found out i cannot use Bluetooth keyboard or mouse to wake up the laptop when it goes into sleep mode. Has anybody experienced this situation? or does anyone know how can I fix it? Thanks a lot!
