this looks great! curious how it performs
Pretty cool stuff. After owning the 2018 15" Blade with 144hz panel, I'm going to be fine with the Blade Pro's screen as well (for work and play)
I'm at the verge of getting one. But can someone please clarify this to me:
Does the extra M.2 slot supports NVMe SSD?

Oh nice I just cheked again and it's there! Many thanks!
If I wasn't on a time crunch, I would have ordered this with a 2080. The second NVMe slot is worth it, I wish the 15" had a second hard drive slot.

anyone knows how I can get the background?

For those who got burnt buying blade 15 rtx 2080, i just spoke to razer support. You could still refund your blade even 2 months after purchasing your blade 15. Imma refund mine and get the 9750h one due in few weeks.
Tagging joikansai.
I’m not Min, Don’t tag me lol. Yes CS experiences may be vary, and you got probably a good one. I had one too on late 2016 model upgrading to 2017 one, but it was also because I noticed possibility issue and rise support ticket within 2 weeks owning late 2016. But basically directly from Razer you’ve only 2 weeks refund window.

Looks cool, the design is pretty
I actually really love the background. Nice to see Razer reinventing themselves :smile_:
Nice. If only my work allows me to get my own laptop

Joikansai are you getting this? Im saddened by the cpu. Why not 9980hk? That's why i think im going with asus rog. 9980hk and rtx 2080 max p instead of 9750h and 2080mq with rbp.
I’m tempted with this and always want to try but idk man i don’t like upgrading every year lol:smile_:
For this 2,7kg thin light categories 8 cores cpu probably only wasting the money since it’ll throttle like most i9 processor, it’s still same 14nm chips with higher clock. Last gen 8750H performs similar or better than i9 on thin light categories, it’ll be better going with big laptop with desktop cpu with better performance and temperature if you’re looking at i9. And about 2080maxq, since price range is almost around same with Blade 15 highest option with 2080maxq I think it’s also due thermal reason pushing full 2080 only brings another thermal problem and end up like Area 51m, burned out or dead mobo, even they probably sold already a lot but over 10 units within not 2 months without clear reason is a problem imo.
Joikansai
Finally Blade pro refresh after 2 years, keep bringing another beast:smile_:

Atm panel manufacturers arent making 1440P panels with narrow bezels and all laptop brands are basically buying the same panels as all the other brands from the same 4 panel manufacturers. Yeah I hope there’s 1440p 144Hz or even 4K 144Hz, lets blame AUO, BOE, LG etc for being too Lazy making things:smile_:
Blame Apple.
If they had a 17" model, then panel manufacturers would scramble to produce more higher resolution 17" panels.
Unfortunately, they don't.
Dell has (and had for a while) 4K panels (from Sharp, I think) on their Precision series 17" monsters.
I've been meaning to buy a Blade for years now, but Razer *always* manages to omit _some_ detail.
For a long time, it was non-user-upgradeable soldered memory. Now, it's super low resolution screens.
I will not buy a 17" laptop with an FHD panel in 2019.
Granted, if I was more serious about high-FPS gaming, I'd probably prefer 120/144/240Hz refresh over resolution.
BUT, I'm not. I want 4K and preferably OLED, and don't care much about refresh and FPS.
Too bad. For me, that is...

In general this looks great, but why was DisplayPort dropped compared to the 15? HDMI 2.0b is great and all, but there's no variable refresh rate output at all on the new Pro, which from a gaming perspective seems like a serious oversight. It seems like every Pro released so far has some "almost there" hang-up that has me saying "maybe next refresh". At least the 15 is literally as good as it gets right now, hopefully they can get the next Pro, or heaven forbid release of Project Valerie, to come as close to perfection as the 15 Advanced.
PCworld mentioned that TB3 on Blade Pro 2019 connected directly to dgpu unlike blade 15 which is to iGPU (cpu) and TB3/usb c basically display port so theoretically it can run g sync, let’s see the real laptop review.

With a screen size so big, it really needs a higher resolution screen. The tech exists to go 1440P 144Hz, so if that could be integrated, you would have my attention. Until then, well...
