Paypal has a promotion for 0% interest if paid off in 6 months which may be an option for some on the fence
Running at an almost consistent 4.1ghz @ 66 degrees on stock settings? I'm sold, incredible thermals considering it's size.

Ordered the 2080 version with an estimated ship date of May 31. Support chat said that they're still waiting on inventory and it could ship sooner but no later than that.

Yes omg 4 fans. Thatd be good thermal.

Yeah absolutely that’ll be a good thermal, out of box 2080maxq scores 21,7K FS Graphics score is really great with some abracadabra it’ll sit on the top maxq 2080 and top from notebookcheck max graphics score Razer only need to fix that physical performance by increasing power limit, still plenty thermal head room imo. Want take first run?:smile_:

Does the extra M.2 slot supports NVMe SSD?

This was asked above by someone else, still looking for the answer as well?

According to dave2d review I saw on other thread here they both support 2 nvme.

Our software is very GPU intensive too. So it’s hard to find a great laptop. All the 4K screens have crap GPUs. All the 2080 devices have crap screens that only care about refresh rate.

Hmm... Interesting...

Dell's Precision line has Quadro:s (or Radeon Pro:s, if that's what floats your boat), which -although over-priced- are far from crap. They also have a 4K display option. I used to have a 7710 at work and loved it (not as sleek as the Blade Pro and heavier as well, but well built and functional). I'd expect a 7740 to pop up soon, with 9th gen Intel parts (and perhaps a Turing-based Quadro RTX, if those get released for mobile platforms)...

You can also just use a monitor for 4k applications, don't really think the difference between 17" 1080p and 4k is noticeable

I have a desktop, so that doesn’t interest me too much. But I work remotely from a laptop quite a bit as an architect and modeling applications GREATLY benefit from more pixels. Can see more of what I’m designing instead of half the screen being filled with menus.

There really isn’t a company who sells a product to my industry. Actually I take that back. My office still uses about a dozen of the last gen Razer Blade Pro. Still firing on all cylinders but certainly outdated in so many ways.

You don't mean to suggest that we should lug around an additional monitor with the Blade Pro, right?
Also, if you don't think the difference is noticeable than I'm guessing you've barely ever used a 4K display.
If nothing else, I can have 4 VM:s each running 1080p tiled on my display at the same time.
(Of course, the same 4x screen-real-estate idea applies to any other application you routinely use.)
Try that on a 1080p display!

Would purchase if it had higher resolution. I need for work and 4k is necessary. 17" would be great. Will stick to my Mac for now I guess :slightly_sad:
Maybe eventually...

On the product page for it near the bottom on where to buy, Newegg shows a release date of May 20th. We'll see though.

I see the release date has now changed to May 22nd..
According to Razer chat with sales, the laptop should be available to purchase this week, whatever that means... so maybe tomorrow or this weekend
I sure hope it’s soon! This wait seemed like forever.
My local razer sf welcomed me into call list. This usually mean soon.
