would be good for streaming...

Not so sure about that tbh, that kind of performance can normally only be achieved in an larger form factor, however a full graphics card in a Razer Core might do the trick! Also maybe an AMD processor 😉

it's really up to individual preference. i got a Razer Blade a few years ago because of its portability. It was my main gaming rig + also used for work. Now that I've changed job and no longer on the go so much, i'm looking to build my own gaming PC

This is what it's all about, preference. I would normally recommend building a PC for gaming instead of buying a prebuilt/laptop but if you work on the go and need a portable solution there are many great laptops that offer near-desktop performance in a small form factor, for an elevated price though (but keep in mind that this price also covers the cost of a "work computer" you'd have to get separately)

Is the laptop really worth those big bucks though, or might a guy go ahead and spend a bit more on an actual desktop set up if it's just being used for gaming at home anyway?

They are only getting better and better!

Razer did really knock this one out of the park. Better thermal, higher voltage on the gpus really makes it better than the competition. I'm still waiting to see the competition release bios updates to match what Razer is doing out of the box.

Anything past +150 on the core doesn't seem to give me any improvements. And I only got up to +500 on memory and didn't test past that. So I'll be sure to do so when I get a chance. My undervolt on the cpu also seems to notndo anything past-140mv. That's with XTU though. So I'm gonna try throttle stop. Youtuber Bob of all trades shows that if you undervolt enough in throttle stop you basically underclock the cpu since you're starving it for power. And I'm not seeing anything like that. So I'll do another run of testing later this weekend.

If praying works then I'd like to see low 80's on the cpu at a long gaming session.

Rtx cards are great on memory OC, I don’t have rtx mobile but on rtx cards on my core I did all +1000 memory:smile_: from 2070 to 2080ti, maybe try +700 for mobile:wink_:. It’s interesting, higher core clock translates to core frequency bump which means better performance.
I know only Bob Sagat, Bob Dylan and Bob Marley:big_grin_:. I wouldn’t say though that undervolting is same with underclocking, it’s different things, voltage and clock (under clock is opposite from overclocking), on cpu like you reduce or limiting your core amplifier than default values per throttlestop (though it’s H cpu we can’t do opposite, OC it), but both has similar target, for cooler system. Though cpu undervolte increase performance for better frequency boost due running in cooler environment.

How is your cpu uV value and gpu OC? Tried +150 core and +700 memory gpu, and -150mV on cpu? If the combination is right it can bump the gpu score...plus praying:smile_: for good silicons lottery and the benchmarks not stopped in the middle of the run.

Regardless of how much people love XTU or Throttle stop I could do without them. It would be nice if we could just undervolt them in bios and forget about it. Or ypu know we all can bombard Min to undervolt all future laptops by -125mv and we'd never have to worry again. Lol.

I'm a little sad I can't break 23K on the gpu. Wish it was winter time so I could go on my porch and see how it performs in cold temps.

Still holding out for a 110w bios update. Lol

7% faster 2080maxq MSI gs75 review:D

Yes that’s great for noob users like me:big_grin_: having CPU Factory undervolted, it translates to better performance and temperature without needing to install what, XTU and thermal Trothestoptopp:rolleyes:. Yeah maxq 2080 was announced with tdp from 80 watt to 150+watt, till now we’re seeing highest 90 watt maxq, maybe this one Maxi Version lol.

Not sure if anyone posted this yet, but notebook check has a review on the Blade Pro. Honestly I stand by my statement this is the best thin and light laptop you can get right now. This will likely push the other manufacturers to up there game since the Blade Pro comes with 100 w GPU's instead of 90w or 80w and -100mv on the 9750h. Though everyone keeps saying it's big. . .am I the only one that remembers how big 15" laptops were no more than a year ago with thick bezels? If you were able to take those with you then this laptop isn't big by comparison.
