so this, or the blade pro 17, guys??
The format of this laptop is 14'. But it has a 15 each screen. So it might be ok in your bag.

Question what would be a good 32Gig of Ram choice for this laptop? Any regerence that would be good without paying a 25% premium for 2% of better petformance?...
I might swap the RAM directly for 32Gig.

Starting at $2300.

That's not too shabby!

Just wondering, why do you need 32 gigs of RAM on a laptop? That seems a bit like an overkill, I have 24gigs on my tower and have 100+ chrome tabs running at all times, on top of that I have multiple photoshop files open and I play games with RAM to spare...

Do we have any indication as to when the OLED model will be available?

Yes, I found some information about the launching date which is April 24 starting at $1,999. If I'm wrong someone else will correct me.
Great to see many brands taking up the RTX graphics for laptops. I am not too sure myself on how good it is with the better graphics scaling. I'd probably wait a while before deciding on which one to go with. My current 1070 and 1050 in my laptop still work extremely well to say the least...

Yhea it s just to feel at ease, 16Gg should already be plenty enough. Plus I can keep the Ram for my next laptop:)
Def need it for my setup! ❤️

I'd buy the laptop first and then decide if you want to expand your memory, these laptops last for very long, maybe when its time to upgrade the industry has already changed to DDR5

Sorry to say, it wasnt :slightly_sad:

The new blades thermal pads are MUCH improved, a lot of the internals are. good QOL for people who want to swap SSDs/Ram.

The Temps are very good, like very good, which is an issue. With the new Blade im hitting 75c on the hottest core on CB20 loops. Which is irritating, as the 45w limit is still in effect, which is dumb, it can take more heat now, that limit needs increased.

I did add 2 thermal pads, thinking it might help a bit. Maybe it does, maybe not, I was already in there switching the drives so figured why not lol.

EDIT: its worse than I thought, just ran 6 more back to back. The high of 75c, thats before the throttle. When its throttled to 45ws, the temps never go over 65c. NEVER. This is absurd, every other 9750h laptop is going to destroy the blade, apparently this CPU ran much cooler, the throttle made sense on the 8750h as it would hit 85c easy, even with the throttle. This cpu is running 20c cooler, this throttle is needs vastly increased. BTW those temps are with no repaste, and a -80 UC, without the UC, it runs the same temps, just at 2.9 instead of 3.1

That’s power limit throttling that’s known from last year model to make the system run cooler. Cinebench is light cpu stress test, cpu demanding titles like AC Oddysey, Shadow of the tomb Raider, Far cry 5 is the real enemy. Try running it in an or two hours you’ll be thankful to that power limit imo. There’s not much review about 9750H in thin light form factor. But Gigabyte 15 9750H 2070maxq review just out yesterday, and it runs average 3,5ghz multicore, and on gaming it’s throttling.

You can unlock it per bios with tweaks (by your own risk), i tried that but I prefer cooler temperature on this form factor.
Hi, can anyone confirm, who has not the US Keyboard Layout, that the secondary function of the function keys have no backlight?
Videos from the CES 2019 show the Blade 15 in the US layout and the secondary function have backlit and this was mentioned as one of the great upgrades compared to last year.
I have received my German Blade 15 RTX2070 today and they have no backlit on the secondary function keys?!?
Even the support hotline was not aware of this and all pictures on their German website are showing a keyboard with backlit!!
This is quite a bad advertising.

It seems that this is the case also for every non-US keyboard layout, according to the following thread the UK layout model has the same issue as yours:

/razer-blade-15-advanced-uk-secondary-function-keys-not-backlit.46756/

This is indeed false advertising, and unacceptable from Razer side. I am quite sure that if this was happening in the US layout model someone would have already sue them. As I said no matter how good this Razer laptop is, false advertising is unacceptable.

So far I saw only US keyboard has function keys Backlight, UK user and I think French mentioned same thing. Germany Keyboard Layout is shown like this, same as uk site I believe, only us site that shows Backlight Fkeys. Even though on website advertising Video and slide show on the bottom page is showing Backlight on it. If it’s a trade off for you you still have 14 days to return.
@Joikansai, I do not believe that it is a matter of trade off. Here Razer advertises something that it does not respect and which might attract more buyers for their benefit, this is bad service. REALLY BAD!!!

I understand it, but CES is in US and they advertised it in english. A lot manufactures link only one video in their website in different languages, so buyer should also be careful before buying device that they want. I remember A brand laptop in us has TB3 with full PCIe3x4 lanes but not on EU model, and b brand sell online nvme ssd but on retail sata SSD. So as a buyer you have also selective nowaday, doesn’t meet your expectations or requirements then send it back. I did this with my past Razer Blade purchase as well.

Of course I have checked the whole german webpage. The picture you have posted before is the only one, where you can see no backlighting. But the left part shows the Basic Version of the Blade and it has backlight on the second function keys. So therefore the Pro Version, which cost up to almost the double price, does not have it????
If you want to know the technical specs, you have to read the data sheet and there you can find out differences between countries.
But if I can see the backlighted keys on any other pictures, than I can expect to get, what I see. And it is not written anywhere, that they do not have backlight!
Even so, what is the matter to bring it to every country?
I believe, you will get the backlight on the secondary F-keys in a half year, when they have sold out the 2018 keyboard in the 2019 Blade 15.
And I have got the drawback as an early adopter......

Yes it’s your money and you decide it. You’re not checking around enough, there’s already users experience sharing it on Reddit before, and you can call Support in Hamburg before you pull your trigger. I personally did such search before throwing my over €2K bucks.
I don’t care personally Backlight Fkeys, more simple is better i can change the color as I want to remind me the position if I want.
Base Model only have single area lightning not individual, weaker gpu, and old heat sink with other old Blade 15 hardware that what makes it in lower price tag and to be accurately it’s not basic it’s base model and and It’s not Pro it’s advanced model.
Wow I like it .

So, explain me why it is my fault that I have not checked enough around in not official threads? Is it not enough to read test, view reports and check the official material from the webpage about this model? Is it my fault that no german tech page has tested the german version? Even the support in Hamburg was not aware of the difference, when I have called them afterwards. And again, the base model has the backlit and I bet the Pro (Advanced) model will have it later this year, too!
And what if I would have been the very first user from the 2019 model? How can I read any other user experience, when I am the first one? Then I have to rely on advertisement and these were wrong! And even in Germany you can sue a company for wrong advertisement, but they know, nobodody would go that far for this minor issue.
And by the way, on the german webpage and translated into english it is basic and pro. This was even written below the pic you have posted before.
Hey Guys!

I got the brand new model with i7. 9. gen CPU. Great device so far!

The only thing I dont get is that the fans spins up when I'm starting the Razer synapse Software. Even if I set the fan speed manually to "0" in the Synapse Software, it is still cranking up the fans. I have throtteled the cpu to 1ghz with the windows energy settings (for office work). So temperature should really not be an issue - its getting cold on the keyboard :big_grin_:

When I'm closing the Synapse Software and all the Services, the fans getting quiet.

Someone have this issue too?

Really!? You can’t sue them. If you really understand german you know what this means.

And because “hoch“ german won’t write advanced and base, it’s english my man.
