Trolling aside, did you guys see the benchmark results? On titles without ray tracing, at 4k, 2080 rtx is actually not performing well.

Joikansai are you getting one?

I'll stay with my 2018 Blade 15 advanced1 "rtx2070":smile_: I can still do this for fun:wink_:

Can you give us some thermal results with 3DMark or in game ?

Yep, it's expected to arrive this week. It's currently in "production" which means someone is upgrading it. I have two stages left. If not this week it'll likely be early next week.

I think that rtx2080 maxq is Perfect to play at 1080p.
I also think that with that panel size 4k is not relevant. I would Razer have 1080p oled 120hrz than 4k ops 120htz on next blade.

If you plan to play at 4k on an external monitor may be it s better to invest on a 1060 gtx small laptop and a desktop solution.

I am quite happy to know that this rtx2080 blade will offer really good performanceat 1080p and that all I ask it to do.

I will try to use my finger properly and not press all my keyboard touch when typing.

I hope to finally be able to order my laptop tomorrow once they finally approve my paiement method...

2080RTX totally blast all the other cards that are in the market. the one in the new blade is the maxq version, we see a rough 20% drop in performance.. that is of course we are talking about 1080 resolution...

forgive me.. but gaming on 4k is nonsense because framerate/refresh is higher priority. especially in competitive titles...

ray tracing is just too new and should be sort of ignored for now... im hoping for the 2080 without the ray tracing... they did have a leaked on the 1660 TI on the turing architecture.. but its a **60. not **80.... so.... if we are talking about desktop, we should just stick to the cheaper 1080 or get a 2070rtx and forget about the ray tracing abilities (if price is a concern)

You both are true. But keep in mind there’s also people who doesn’t play everyday Overwatch or CSGo, you don’t need 400fps on Resident Evil or Assassin Creed, quality is better than FPS fore some on those titles and according this Blade rtx 2070maxq can maintain AC Odyssey 50fps @4K very high setting which is insane if it’s true considering it’s 20fps improvement from 1070maxq Blade 2018 and maxq 2080 should be able do 60fps, but again if that guy said the true, because it’s Reddit and I struggle as well on my Blade 15 “2070”;) doing 4K at any setting.

available in Malaysia?

The official store only has the Razer Blade 2016 Model and the Razer Stealth Early 2016 Model displayed, you can ask to be notified if they restock. It sucks, but you can try a third party-supplier
I will purchase one just to watch GOT on it. Kidding:D
The Razer team really put a hard work on this, it looks very clean, slim and powerfull.

Thumbs up!
uncle_farkus
I'm over here refreshing the store every 3 hours to see if the 4k model is available yet lol.

Can t you ask the chat support? They might be able to answer you.

You can order from HIDEvolution, they will ship to anywhere I think.
They told me it's sold out and highly sought after. I haven't seen anybody who actually ordered one and never saw one for sale despite looking when they went live. So I dunno about all that.
i wANT THAT!!!!
@Joikansai do you know whether it is possible to get the OLED version whenever it is available in germany with the us qwerty layout instead of the german qwertz?

Don't hold your breath on expecting it to arrive this week - I just confirmed with Razer support that the OLED version has not been released yet, so how HIDEvolution is configuring your order is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, I hope they are configuring because that is good news all the way around, but from what I heard - I would follow up with them and confirm.

I'm lucky that the San Francisco Razer store is reasonably close, and the last few times I bought a Razer, I did it at the physical store.

Order Support (5/8/2019, 9:58:57 AM): Upon checking here, I can see that the release would be this month. However, there is no specific date. I advised you to please keep checking the webstore from time to time as we will update the webstore once we have it in stock.
Me (5/8/2019, 9:59:26 AM): Ah, okay - so it has not been released yet?
Order Support (5/8/2019, 9:59:35 AM): Yes.
Me (5/8/2019, 9:59:59 AM): Okay, thank you

Try ask notebook.de I saw some Blade 15 2018 users got us qwerty from them, from Razer Store you can only get german qwertz, but even if you can it would be probably later, resellers order always later compared to first batch order from Razer Store.

Some resellers should have ETA from manufacturer earlier than consumers, that is why leaks about hardware specifications usually comes. I just asked Chat Support, this’s for us some other regions, big one like UK, France, Germany, China etc usually later on System first batch order but it would be great if it would be the same time.
Just received my Razer 9th Gen with my cooling mods, here's my Time Spy temps

Let me know if you need any other results

@Joikansai thanks I contacted them let's see what they will say.

@Vahdyx congrats mate I wish you to enjoy it and to be defectless . By the way did you get the OLED one or the 240 Hz refresh screen?
Hi, question is the blade rtx 2080 coming with single or dual channel for the Ram?
If single I will directly order another stick.

Firstly a strong disclaimer: If you are not a hardware guru, don't attempt this. Just don't. Wait for Razer.

Secondly, ensure all antivirus/antimalware software is totally uninstalled before proceeding. It's not worth the risk of it interfering and you toasting your precious laptops.

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH IF YOU ARE UNSURE DO NOT PROCEED.

Warning out of the way, I stupidly made the mistake of installing the Management Engine firmware, then the EC firmware then the BIOS naturally wouldn't update. Damn. I've been working with BIOS/EFI for a long, long time so I'm very familiar with AMIBIOS which Razer Blade 15 2019 model uses. Easy fix here. The utility Razer bundle isn't able to prod the firmware to update it, but, rather handily they include the tool you need and it works. Yay Razer!

What to do?

Ensure you've got a program like 7zip installed. Download the latest bios update applicable for your razer laptop. Right click on it, extract to a folder.

Open up a cmd window as an administrator. Navigate to that folder.

To elaborate what is doing what:

/B = boot block
/P = main bios
/N = NVRAM
/K = all non-critical blocks

Let it run and do its thing. It doesn't take long. Review what's occured in the console session and check everything was successful.

If all looks good, give it a reboot.

DO NOT FREAK OUT. It will upon the first reboot sit idle/dormant for a little while and that is normal. You have not bricked it. Give it plenty of time and once it returns to life, before it goes to boot the OS, press delete, go into the bios, reset to factory defaults and adjust any settings to how you like. save and quit. I suggest turning on memory XMP as it provides a nice little performance bump.

Congrats, 1.04 bios is yours.

If Razer thinks this information is too dangerous for average users - please remove. I will understand. The skilled users will find this super helpful and it'll get them to 1.04 happily.

Edit: PS. I forgot to say - it silenced the laptop neatly after the 1.04 update. Woot! :)

The command afuwinx64.exe Charlotte2_0104.bin /B /P /N /K doesnt work... My bios file is named RazerUpdater, do I need to change this or something?

Usually Blade always with dual Chanel for better performance like on dave2d 2080 Blade reviews video shows today.
Just waiting for a 2060 razer blade 14 since a 15 inch doesn't fit in my bag.
