ME Update 10 April , Bios Update 12 April .

I also have the same issue on the 2019 Razer Blade 15 that I bought today.

I also have a question about the trackpad. Is the entire trackpad supposed to be a click pad? My trackpad does not "click" on the upper 1/3 portion.

Same for me. I installed ME update before the BIOS update. Now the BIOS updater stuck at 99%.
TBH, the ME update was released before BIOS update, there were no instructions on updating BIOS and EC before proceed to ME update at the first place. Sadly, Razer did not organize the process well.
Well...they did not organize anything here...o_O

I`ll wait untill an answer from Razer appears saying what to do when EC and ME have already been updated.

They see this and I believe working on it, just hold your horses.

The really scary thing about this is that clearly Razer did not properly test (if at all) the1.04 BIOS release. Of all the software they produce, BIOS updates should be the most thoroughly tested. Thank God it did not brick our systems
So I managed to get get the Bios updated, then the EC update. Well seems like the coil whine is louder now. There seems to be none if i limit it to 60fps, but at 100fps its screaming.
Firstly a strong disclaimer: If you are not a hardware guru, don't attempt this. Just don't. Wait for Razer.

Secondly, ensure all antivirus/antimalware software is totally uninstalled before proceeding. It's not worth the risk of it interfering and you toasting your precious laptops.

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH IF YOU ARE UNSURE DO NOT PROCEED.

Warning out of the way, I stupidly made the mistake of installing the Management Engine firmware, then the EC firmware then the BIOS naturally wouldn't update. Damn. I've been working with BIOS/EFI for a long, long time so I'm very familiar with AMIBIOS which Razer Blade 15 2019 model uses. Easy fix here. The utility Razer bundle isn't able to prod the firmware to update it, but, rather handily they include the tool you need and it works. Yay Razer!

What to do?

Ensure you've got a program like 7zip installed. Download the latest bios update applicable for your razer laptop. Right click on it, extract to a folder.

Open up a cmd window as an administrator. Navigate to that folder.

run the command afuwinx64.exe Charlotte2_0104.bin /B /P /N /K

To elaborate what is doing what:

/B = boot block
/P = main bios
/N = NVRAM
/K = all non-critical blocks

Let it run and do its thing. It doesn't take long. Review what's occured in the console session and check everything was successful.

If all looks good, give it a reboot.

DO NOT FREAK OUT. It will upon the first reboot sit idle/dormant for a little while and that is normal. You have not bricked it. Give it plenty of time and once it returns to life, before it goes to boot the OS, press delete, go into the bios, reset to factory defaults and adjust any settings to how you like. save and quit. I suggest turning on memory XMP as it provides a nice little performance bump.

Congrats, 1.04 bios is yours.

If Razer thinks this information is too dangerous for average users - please remove. I will understand. The skilled users will find this super helpful and it'll get them to 1.04 happily.

Edit: PS. I forgot to say - it silenced the laptop neatly after the 1.04 update. Woot! 🙂
Anyone upgrade their ram on their Razer 2019 rtx line? What did you get? I bought the ballistic sport lt by micron (crucial) 16gb x 2 2666Mhz but am hearing that they may be underclocked to 2400Mhz due to the default xmp profile of the ram?

I've used in a few Razer 15 2019 laptops now 'HyperX Impact HX426S15IB2K2/32 32GB (2x16GB) 2666MHz DDR4 SODIMM' with total success. Passes memtest for days under XMP profile at full speed 2666MHz and works totally reliably.

That said, I've had very mixed results in the past with both compatibilities with existing ram modules and XMP profiles being less than the rated speed when it comes to Crucial memory.

Ensure in the bios you've got XMP enabled then boot back into windows, hop into windows task manager, go to the performance tab, click on the memory sub-section column and you can see the frequency it's presently operating at in there. Let me know what it shows, I'm curious!

I'll update you in a few days. The memory gets here Wednesday. Can't wait to get this beast! Wish it had gsync, a brighter display, and max q? I guess I'll appreciate the better battery life and good cooling. We can't have everything but at $2600+ I feel like we kinda should? I'm coming from an Alienware R4 17" with a gtx 1080, i7 7820hk, 32gb ddr4 2400mhz ram with the 1440p 120hz TN panel which could get up to 400nits. I had to downsize because it's annoying lugging that 10lbs behemoth around plus the 330w power supply. It was a solid laptop though.

Which model do you have, 2070maxq? Alienware and Razer Blade is different category Laptop. It can’t fit full mobile rtx gpu, but Blade always use the best gpu on its class which is the highest gpu tdp, so you can push it more. I think there’s not much options on Bios like on 2018 model, so if you want more like momory OC menu you should probably moding it with your own risk. G sync isn’t there because also for better battery life since it’s portable laptop, but you can use g sync monitor for better experience, and I think I don’t notice stuttering as well on internal display, idk why but the difference isn’t too big between playing on predator 1440p 165Hz. And even it’s only around 300 nit, color accuracy is way batter than TN panel I had difficulty finding external monitor 1440p that match its colors accuracy, only my old lg4K Monitor that can match it. I’m talking about 15 advanced last year model btw.

Wallpaper please!

Mobile one too pretty please!
Looks pretty convenient if you ask me.
Do we have any insights about the technology that is used in the OLED screen. I've read somewhere that the screen is samsung originating but what I care most is to know how and whether they address issues like "burn in" that OLED screens use to suffer.

That is one eye-catchy beast :cool_:

And that specs!!! Bang on!

Great specs, but it'll be super pricey in EU (+30% to the overall USD price).

Alien laptop r13 use Oled since 2017 and no users reporting burn in yet from what I saw on their forum in NBR.

Yeah I paid Apple products in Japan up to 20% cheaper than here as well, poorly EU price and import politics, but at least we have EU law costumers protection and don’t have to thinking hassle about costume fees like on some regions:smile_:
Is the new wallpaper already available? Looks sick!!!

An Epic laptop I want 😃
The keyboard makes me so mad! I don’t see how anyone who types faster than 60wpm can deal with that right shift key. Every time they release an upgrade it makes me said they haven’t redesigned it. I’ll be stuck with the 14” until the end of time.
