Which model do you have, 2070maxq? Alienware and Razer Blade is different category Laptop. It can’t fit full mobile rtx gpu, but Blade always use the best gpu on its class which is the highest gpu tdp, so you can push it more. I think there’s not much options on Bios like on 2018 model, so if you want more like momory OC menu you should probably moding it with your own risk. G sync isn’t there because also for better battery life since it’s portable laptop, but you can use g sync monitor for better experience, and I think I don’t notice stuttering as well on internal display, idk why but the difference isn’t too big between playing on predator 1440p 165Hz. And even it’s only around 300 nit, color accuracy is way batter than TN panel I had difficulty finding external monitor 1440p that match its colors accuracy, only my old lg4K Monitor that can match it. I’m talking about 15 advanced last year model btw.

Well the Asus ROG Strix Scar II model #s GL504GW and GL704GW both are thin and lights and both have full mobile rtx 2070s NON max q in them. As far as tn panels not being color accurate I would have to agree but on the plus side they last forever. I do prefer better color accuracy though. Thanks for the response!

I've used in a few Razer 15 2019 laptops now 'HyperX Impact HX426S15IB2K2/32 32GB (2x16GB) 2666MHz DDR4 SODIMM' with total success. Passes memtest for days under XMP profile at full speed 2666MHz and works totally reliably.

That said, I've had very mixed results in the past with both compatibilities with existing ram modules and XMP profiles being less than the rated speed when it comes to Crucial memory.

Ensure in the bios you've got XMP enabled then boot back into windows, hop into windows task manager, go to the performance tab, click on the memory sub-section column and you can see the frequency it's presently operating at in there. Let me know what it shows, I'm curious!

HAHAHA So they totally dropped the 240hz Razer blade 2019 with the 9th gen i7 and upgraded usb A 3.2 Gen 2 and an updated wifi chip as well, if only they could have put a better web cam because the one in it now is GARBAGE on a $2500 laptop. ANYWAYS, I'm gonna swap em out and put the new ram in it when it gets here. CANT WAIT

The Blade needs an option for the 8-core 9980HK, otherwise you'll never hit even 50% of that 240HZ panel on games like multiplayer BF5.

You're absolutely right but then that would defeat the purpose of the whole design of the line as you'd need a much thicker chassis to accommodate more fans and heat pipes for cooling but I'm sure there are titles that you can run near its peak that are lighter weight like cs go and fortnite

To my knowledge for it to be a 240hz screen, it has to be a TN screen. The current 144hz models have a better screen since their IPS. I just received my 2070 advanced but it isn't the newest model. So I'm debating to return it for the newer one but I don't think it's worth it for a worse screen.

Saw on Reddit this. Let’s see the real review about world first ips 240Hz Panel, even I believe non external monitor has ips yet on this refresh rate.

Humble question. I assume the new 15 inch razers still have the green outside logo without chroma. Correct? I wish they would offer the ability to change it not just turn it off.

As awesome as it looks, I think I'll be sticking with my 2019 Blade Stealth Graphics model... its smaller and does everything I've needed so far. If I need more gaming power, ill get an EPGU.

At first i wanted the 9980hk laptops, then i saw they all have 2 power bricks. I almost preordered one from hidevolution.

I have new strange issue. Sometimes when my Blade 15 is plugged in my charging status changes constantly back and forth from plugged in to battery power. I notice this mostly while gaming as FPS starts to drop. After I reset my system or remove charger from wall (or power cable from from power source) everything is fine until it starts again in next day or so.

Is my charger busted or is there something else wrong?

Take the video shoot once it occurs with your phone and show that to system support. It may be bad charger connection, is all connected tightly?

Anyone have an idea:

  • when the i7-9750H Blade 15s will be dropping in Hong Kong?
  • how the 9750H performs compared to the 8750H? I'm guessing it won't be too much of a difference, but I sent my 2080 Blade in initially for RMA but decided to get a refund (Support have stopped replying to me though).

If it drops in the next month or so, I can just get buy it again with my student discount. My current RB14 (from 2013) is well past its prime and is starting to show signs of crapping out.
