Meet the new Razer Tiamat V2 Headsets

The world’s first true surround gaming headset returns, better than ever, and of course with that new sexy Razer Chroma lighting.

The new Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 analog gaming headset sports 5 discrete drivers on each ear cup to deliver a robust true surround sound experience with unparalleled precision. Technically sound (heh), the sorcery is enhanced through its accompanying Audio Control Unit that lets you fine-tune audio settings for each driver. Master the battlefield by defining the soundstage, take victory through sheer audio advantage.

PC enthusiasts rejoice — there’s no need to choose between a Razer Leviathan speaker setup or a headset configuration. The Audio Control Unit doubles up as an audio pass through to allow quick switching between headset and your external speakers.

Hardcore gaming audio, accompanied with matching ergonomics - we’ve redesigned the headband to double up on comfort and fully accommodate your most intense and lengthy battles.

Available alongside the true 7.1 headset is the new Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2. That’s a lot of 2s. 2 discrete subwoofers, 2 custom-tuned audio drivers. Take that bass response up a couple of notches and hear your games rumble to life. Punch up your audio experience anywhere, whether you’re on PC, consoles or mobile.

Epic Sound, Epic Bass.

One pressing and important question here!

I see there is a nintendo switch in the picture, are you able to split the mic and headphones send and receive to talk through voice on the switches setup (phone)
razer equipment is ever the most impressive inside this type of market.
^ I concur with this statement. Razer keep up the good work! 🙂
I really like the looks of these but at that price IDK if its really going to be the buy for me!
Aussies can now place their orders as the AU store has been stocked. Shipping will be free as well due to the price being over AU$89.

Just placed my order.
Just wish I had the money to buy it though, lol
anyone tried these on console yet either with just whats in the box or an external sound card or something of the like?
Wow an actually good headset design
i like it... i like it alot... as of right now, i have the 7.1 krakens
Got shipping confirmation!
Would so buy one of the tiamats if not for their expensive price tags, anything above 100 dollars for gaming is not worth it for me... Nice headsets though
Is the build quality improved in the V2 version?
I've owned 3 Tiamat 7.1 headsets in the past:
The first one, after about 6 months, got an issue common with headphones, where unless the wire is in the perfect position, you either get static in one ear or that ear gets no audio. I RMA'd that one to get another
The second one had the same issue immediately after being taken out of the box. I RMA'd that one and got the $199.99 razerstore credit, which I used to get a Blackwidow and Naga.
The third one had a small piece of plastic break that was holding the earcup to the headband, it's still theoretically usable but the earcup can twist and swivel to any angle, doesn't sit on the head well. I didn't bother RMA'ing this one as I assumed it'd be declined as user neglect.

I'd love to try the new 7.1 v2, but is the build quality any better than the v1s?
If not, I'll likely just get a Man'o'War.

You probably just got an unlucky run. Mine lasted 5 years before the left earpad fell off. I could theoretically still use it but it would be rather uncomfortable.

Just when I was about to buy the Kraken Chroma V2 ... My wallet is confused xD

And I just bought my kraken 7.1 v2 😢
does anyone else think i should look into these?
looks awesome wen my Kraken dies i will buy it
daaamn this is amazing bro !!
"The Audio Control Unit doubles up as an audio pass through to allow quick switching between headset and your external speakers." This feature sounds really cool - it's like an on-the-fly audio source switcher.
Anyone who got one, mind sharing how's the build quality? The first one wasn't that impressive
My pair came 2 days ago and it took some time to set them up. I had issues with my Asus Z-170 AR Mobo / Realtek drivers. Caved bought an Asus Xonar sound card and can say after tweaking some settings and getting them just right these headphones are great. I'll say to the average user just get the Kraken 7.1's if you want to just plug headphones into your PC and start using them. If you don't mind taking the time to play with settings / controls these are fantastic. The build quality is really impressive as well. They feel like a product that costs $200. Much better than the first ones imo. For those wondering I upgraded from Kraken 7.1 V2's.

Cant wait to buy them !!
take my money!
they look amazing ... 😃
Does someone know how much sound is audible to people sitting in the same room, while listening to music low volume?
My current headset "leaks" sound even when the audio is very low, so everyone can hear what I'm hearing, which is obviously undesirable @ work.
AWESOME Headphones........

Lovin' it....
