Razer Phone 2 Camaera Issues

After the latest android os update, as I've seen multiple people having this issue with the camera app being unable to zoom or change to one of the other settings.

Is there going to be a patch for this soon? or does anyone happen to have a solution to the problem? cant seem to find that anywhere.

As far as I know, this is more of an Android PIE issue than anything else. That said, can you give us more details about the issue's you're experiencing and do you get the same results when using third-party camera apps?

With it being more of a PIE issue, is there any news bychance of when a patch will be available to fix these problems.

As for more details;
As I said when I open the camera app it works fine and can take pictures, i can adjust all the setting without any issue in camera mode. Once i attempt to zoom the picture in the app freezes then proceed to give the error message cant connect to camera. The same error message appears when i attempt to switch from camera mode to video or portrait mode and the other modes.

When using snapchat, I'm able to take pictures and video, but when moving the camera a ghosting effect appears on screen when moving the camera angle. When using Facebook messenger there doesn't seem to be much or any issue with using the camera.

@Deletion101 and @Moonstriker84 There will be a patch to address all of these issues but I currently do not have any info as to when. I would like to start cases for both of you though so we can have these properly documented which would help the Devs a lot. Please send me a PM with the serial number of your RP2s.

I'm another with the same issue. It also makes the flashlight function quit working.
I was actually about to start a support case over it until I found this thread.
I'm not sure if it's related but my battery seems to have about half the life of my last one. I have to charge it at least twice a day and if I don't plug it in overnight (even with a full charge) it will have 30% or less left in the morning.

Are you guys having the same?

It would be wonderful if you could restore to an earlier OS version when these problems arise.
My son's seventh birthday party was yesterday and I could only do close range pictures. I was VERY disappointed about this!

To everyone else experiencing this issue, please submit a bug report with your dev logs as that would help us understand what's going on and hopefully put up a fix sooner than later.
