New rewards, Steam games, and updates are here. Find out what Razer zSilver has to offer: http://rzr.to/zSilver

    Greetings Insiders,

We’re welcoming January with 5 new Razer zSilver rewards. Add a dash of striking brilliance to your setup with the Razer Cynosa Chroma, or rock out with the Razer Thresher Tournament Edition. For those looking to satiate their gaming needs, we’ve added 3 new Steam games to our zSilver catalog—get pumped with the fast-paced pixel shoot ‘em up Let Them Come, or pierce the heavens with the arcade-style madness of Lichtspeer.

In a bid to meet the different varying demands of each reward, we’ll be making some zSilver value adjustments. Also, to keep things constantly fresh, we’ve removed outdated rewards to make way for new and updated rewards in our zSilver catalog.

has anyone else noticed that zSilver prices have nearly doubled this month. hell the blackwidow now requires roughly 314 days of 7 hrs of play to get. which I wouldn't complain if it wasn't for the fact that zsilver now also expires. doesn't seem to help those who cant run a pc 24/7 and game daily like a full time job. they still cant get the product they want to save for

What? I was shocked to see zSilver prices go up. You ever get that feeling when you're 12 days away from getting 220000 zSilver? Or something near to that... All the wait.

Oh well, as much as I wanted to get the keyboard now, guess I can't to do anything about it anymore. Only means I have more time to save up for Razer gear, and earn zSilver for the next 3 months. :slightly_sad:

    This is sad.
Also before anyone gets mad for me complaining about Razer increasing the prices for free gear; I'm not mad. Just that it's sad to wait for more days when you've been near to the cap and have to wait for more days.

From very first, P2P purposed as contribution for people who game a lot, but in term of "paying to RAZER".

This make sense. You see, use more zGolds, and get more zSilvers. And with the additional P2P 900 zSilvers per day, they will take a lead to redeem they product.

This changes are to maximize the chances in saving those freebies for real man who spend money to RAZER, instead outside peoples. Like I said, is contribution program. We must understand this.

All the early candy gifts are for PR, to get more participants, and so the higher chance of people buying and spending zGold.

It is not a disadvantage to outsiders, but protecting RAZER fans benefits while initiate outsiders to become one of our part.

After all, is my own opinion. Hope this satisfy you. Cheers~

after the latest maintenance i have noticed that most of the rewards prices have increassed and some to an even exagerated price. i was collecting zsilver for the rogue backpack 17.3" and when i was 20000 zsilver away i noticed the price bumped another 50000 which is kinda unfair. what do u guys think

right through the feel :') i was sitting at 210k waiting to get the rogue 173" model only to be surprised the price was raised by 50k. i was expecting new rewards after the maintenance not price increassment

I feel you man, kind of sad you were very near to something you've earned up for then you have to earn more for it. Not mad though, Razer probably had its reasons. Had the same thing. I'm 10000 zSilver away from 220000 to get the Blackwidow Chroma V2. Now I'm 86000 zSilver away.

I remember back in the ole days when 120 posts got you a headset, and 200 posts got you a mouse.

    Oh how things have changed.

Its understandable though, as the fanbase grows, they have to limit rewards more otherwise they will just go under.

Hate to disagree on you on this, but I'm also here to show you what I think of it.
The unified virtual payment and rewards credits for gamers. Pay for great online gaming deals using Razer zGold and get rewarded with Razer zSilver. Razer zSILVER is the loyalty virtual credits given by Razer in recognition of your time and engagement online.
Reap the rewards for your efforts as you exchange your
earned zSilver for Razer products, services, and discounts. That is what Razer zSilver is.

Aren't you already submitting to Razer once you've already invested your time to play a game through Razer Cortex? This Razer zSilver thing is essentially exclusive to all. Any gamer. Razer's motto itself is; For Gamers, by Gamers. It isn't for people who /only/ spend money to Razer. These people earned their zSilver by playing a game through Razer Cortex. Everyday/ whenever they play. For 5 hours or less. It's not solely to protect people who are loyal to Razer, and it should also be for people who haven't had Razer gear yet. To be GIVEN the opportunity to save up for this. It is a contribution program. Yes. It's a program for all. Earlier, Min Liang Tan already made an idea to give Paid to Play only to people who already have Razer gear. Months later and this still hasn't been implemented. For me I planned to get the Blackwidow Chroma V2 through zSilver, then buy other Razer gear after, Lancehead TE, Kraken 7.1 V2 and the like. To be honest; I wouldn't have even been interested, and even know of these other gear if I wouldn't be getting a Blackwidow Chroma V2 along with it, to revamp my setup.

I am not sure of economics ever relates to the increase of prices, but I'll assume the more that people, members get into these zSilver opportunities, the more they are invested of their time to game for this. Hence, they had to increase their prices due to the demand and increase of members actually interested in this product.

Anyway, just like you, this also my own opinion. Have a good day

At first I was also thinking of "For Gamers. By Gamers." However, this vision and mission only applied in ideal situation. In business, it can't. This is way much investment in PR.

Example: 100 peoples involved in zSilvers, only 10 peoples have Razer product and zGold, while 90 of it are outsiders with no Razer product and zGold. Now, they have to feed 90 outsiders for nothing, while they only get more outsiders because of word of mouth. If they keep continue the old system, what going to backup P2P to drive the system? This isn't look like contribution but free gift while 10 fans have to compute with them too. With the updates, that 10 fans can at least have spent to take lead on getting limited free gift (if you guys know that the voucher is limited), while also initiate more people to do as what those fans did. Only then the system can keep running.

Anyway, I don't like the changes too, but there is no other way to do so... (at least for me I can't solve that problems lol)

Thank you Razer for the surprising January update, indeed a great beginning of year. Now additional 50,000 more to Kraken v2. Paid-to-Play, publicity stunt to create this reward program to lure the attention, promoting their claimed core value, that won’t last long since the day it’s created. Soon, there will be a statement by Razer explaning this. Okay.

Probably because so many people complain about not getting enough free stuff.

Probably too many people were redeeming items from the zVault. Wonder if there will be more stock, or new Razer stuff.

So true... but people will always whine, even when they get something for free.

I was disappointed as well as you guys when I saw this. I think that this is not cool because of following:
    • No official statement on this
    • The existence of expiration period
    • Not all items always available for voucher
    • In the end, it's not entirely free (you still need to pay for shipment, and in some countries for customs as well)
But, my hopes are high with the second to last paragraph from this post:
    Specially, the quote:
"We’ll also bring you new special Paid to Play events to help you get closer to the zSilver rewards you want. More info coming soon, so stay tuned!"

So we will see what tomorrow brings!

Well it does seem quite obvious that the highest grade product from Razer is a keyboard and they had to raise the price to almost maximum capacity of silvers. But it should be ok with most of you since the expiry date was added somewhere around August last year if i'm not mistaken so the first silvers expired will be around that month this year, i think you can manage to get it for a redeem. Let's just hope we can get some more events to bonus our silvers from now on or more double caps weekends.

The truth that you have annoyed me. I had enough points to get the Kraken Pro V2 and I just find that I can not catch them because they have raised more than 50000 points, thank you very much.

Agree with you totally. There should have been an announcement before this occurs, and a time for people to earn up their zSilver, especially for people who are already been planning to buy their Razer gear. I can only imagine someone who has supposedly reached their zSilver equivalent to the gear they want, only to find the next day they have to earn it up again.

Personally, I'd rather have them retain the old prices then probably lessen the zSilver cap temporarily to give people the chance who are already near the zSilver amount they have for their gear, so they can be given the option to redeem something of their zSilver's worth; however come to think of it this would actually be pretty chaotic as everyone is going to buy gear near their zSilver amount. Or at least inform us beforehand about the changes to zSilver before actually implementing it.

On the other hand, can't wait to see more zSilver rewards and more special events. Currently still thinking if I should still get the Blackwidow TE V2 or not, or play more game time to get the normal Blackwidow Chroma V2.
