    Hi
I need help deciding which gpu I should put in my core to pair with my razer blade stealth(when I get them).

    Answers would really help.

  2. Honestly, it depends for what you want to use it for.
I think the 1060 is probably your best bet for a performance heavy and budget "friendly" card

What about the 1070? Would the cpu bottleneck the gpu?

    I use it for gaming

With TB3 connection i think it's still get bottleneck even with 1060, I've seen yet users experience with 1060 though but 1070 would definitely better and when I'm not wrong that's best GPU to pair with stealth, higher i heard it's not worth buying.
Edit: I found this for 1070, it's FS performance only slightly better then my Blade 14 Kabylake with 1060 out of box, but in gaming experience some like RotR is better but GoW 4 seems worst.

I personally went all out with the 1080ti. I can play overwatch in 4k, max settings, and 90fps :D

    Is this with the stealth?
I'm looking to get the core later this year for my stealth. I play the other blizzard games like StarCraft and hots, curious if this really could work?!?

Just as joikansai pointed out, is figure there would be a bottle neck issue with tb3?

@Katana use Kabylake 2017 14, right? (I got Kabylake 14 right after him) I will get my stealth this week though and considering get Aorus Box in the future for it, but his experience make me back again want to get core with 1080ti;)

You should only have a cpu bottleneck issue on cpu intensive games though, not all games will give you a bottleneck.

The bottleneck isnt with the TB3 port, the main bottleneck of the core is actually that the usb-c/TB3 port on the blades shares lanes with the other ports and ssd, so the TB3 cant work to its full potential compared with some other laptops and external gpu enclosures.

Yeah I use the 14inch blade with kaby lake.

If you get teh Aorus Box let me know how it is! I'm loving the core so far. Its perfect. I can game on the go with the 1060 in the blade, and get home and can play any game i want on max settings.

No I want your setting:) Getting Aorus box for me is meaningless because I've already Kabylake 14, actually i was looking for an ultrabook and found a great deal for stealth late 2016 for just adding a couple bucks to my budget, so I was thinking about getting eGPU for it.
On Reddit, there seems some issues with connection to stealth, it seems could also fit mini gtx1080 though, but I want ti;)

Yeah the TI is great. I would highly suggest it if you want a card that can play the latest games at highest settings with a ton of fps :)

Right now the GPU is straight up f****d though :smile_: unless you go for a 1050ti or a RX 460 in which case you'll be fine.:wink_:

1070 will make the deal. Still economic and good for gamign and some editing

I can't talk from experience but many reviews that I've read seem to prefer the gtx 1070. I'm sure that's two fold as it is a good price to performance card and isn't as badly bottlenecked as anything higher. Although something like the 1080 or 1080ti will still work and give better performance. Really it depends on your budget. Someone mentioned the aorus gaming box. And that at $600 with a 1070 is a steal in my mind. I don't know if you can remove the graphics card and upgrade it down the road though. If so I'd say that hands down it a good option.

Unfortunately Aorus gaming box has an issue with blade stealth. They are working on it though.

I'm willing to give razer my house if I have to. So would the 1080 and 1080 to perform better?

I planned to get second stealth but it was stopped as I founded yoga 720 13 for €400 cheaper than its official price, damn I just couldn't hold my wallet to get it;) I never heard TB3 ultrabook that cost €600. It was last stock from windows display unit in Mediamarkt (biggest Electronics shop in EU) only one scratch on edge which is not noticeable unless you search it. Sorry Razer, if you brought refurbish store in EU my budget for ultrabook will go to you;) So now I confused to get Aorus box (I like its portable form, because i move a lot but 1070 is meaningless for my Blade) or the core and 1080ti for my blade 14 and it;)
Edit: Don't worry Razer, I'll still put razer sticker on the ultrabook.
