Nah they will wait to fix the game booster apk and then release the update, wouldnt want a problematic image now would they.

So, things i've noticed after almost a week... Bluetooth: seems to be working fine... again. It was initially fixed with an update and then mediocre for almost a year. Zero issues as of updating. Last update caused an issue where if a notification or call came in while connected to my car, the audio would behave the same way after I leave the car. In other words, super low sound until I reboot the phone. This is fixed. Stability: mostly fine.... mostly. Every once in a while, opening an app or game is SUPER sluggish. Closing it and trying again seems to be a quick work around. Game booster: it doesn't work... at all. You have to disable or reset Game Booster after every reset or games won't load. Battery Life: seems to have gone down a bit... Not sure why... nothing has changed in the way I use the phone. Casting: Miracast is finally here meaning I can use my TVs native wireless connection. Storage: my 128GB card is still detected as 256GB.... official samsung. Not in the mood to hard reset at the moment to see if that'll fix it. And then there is my 1 HUGE gripe with android 9.0.... the way the volume slider works. There are times I need to mute everything. The ability to quickly mute ringtones/notifications but nothing else is trash. So, Razer, any word when the update with fixed Game Booster will be released?

Yes, native Miracast support. Tested with my firetv stick and a few Samsung TV's at work. Just go to the cast settings page, hit the ... In the top left and enable wireless display.

Since the RP2 doesnt have this so far, I am guessing it should be around the corner... :D oh and another thing: Has anyone checked, if maybe, just maybe, they finally enabled better bluetooth audio codecs? aptx/aac/ldac/anything? For anyone that is not aware. Atm the RP2 only uses the basic SBC trash codec for any BT device. If you wanna check - enable developer settings, connect to a bluetooth speaker/headset that should be capable of aptx/aac/ldac, play some music and then check your developer settings/options which codec is in use. "bluetooth audio codec" section - half way down the list.

Qualcomm aptX chip is not installed on RP1 and RP2 even if you choose any version of aptx it will go back to SBC codec. Not sure what you are talking about, but I think your understanding of audio codecs is wrong. The snapdragon 845 SoC does support aptx/aptx hd - see here: https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-845-mobile-platform But it still needs to be supported in the System, where Razer comes into play. Also Sony LDAC and aac are both free to use codecs. They only need to be implemented. So Razer could - and hopefully should - be doing this at some point

I would just like it if razer would do at least a few updates after major updates to fix bugs, add the most recent security updates and possibly some minor improvements

Hi I'm a rp1 user in the UK and I downloaded the update I really wish I hadn't iv had

• Black screen issues on games the booster reset is only a temp fix every day
• The volume controls are now horrible
• I don't get notifications sounds and the screen doesn't come on when I get notifications
• When I plug into charge it goes into a sort of loop wherewill go back a few seconds to whatever I was doin where it been playing video or typing - sometimes turning the phone off while on charge fixes it
• The actual brightness overall seems dimmer especially when outside

To sum up this update has destroyed the few good things about the phone and I have pretty much regretted getting it about 80% of the time I love razer products but I think they should have tried harder before this was released

• From what I understand, this is the big reason it was pulled. I don't have to reset it everyday, but do have to after every reboot.

  This is an Android 9 thing and a trash decision by google. They are horrible and should have never been implemented.

  I thought it was a combination of my bad eyesight and sun brightness where I live...

I guess there is a bit to fix still. I don't see the volume controls going back to was previous android versions had, because google seems to think that they know what you want now.... Gamebooster needs a fixing, badly. Brightness would be a nice fix.

nobody knows when. just have to wait. if you dont want - there are custom roms

I did some more research on the internet and it seems like to be an licensing issue. https://www.androidauthority.com/sony-ldac-codec-790690/ is seems like there is a license cost that needs to be paid to make it work. Third party hardware manufacturers require a LDAC license, and even those looking to use Sony's AOSP code need to pass certification. The only detail we’re not sure of if is there’s a licensing cost that OEMs will have to sign up for, as there is with Qualcomm’s aptX which is also supported in Android Oreo’s Bluetooth codec settings." Same problems with game booster! A brightness become weaker, can't change anymore Dolby settings from notification area, I guess that's Google's fault. There are Mary UI trashy changes!

When I connect my Razer Phone 2 (Android Pie 9.0) to a Bluetooth headset, all the sound notifications will go to the head set. And It's not possible to change this so the phone itself doesn't make a sound notification. As long as I have the headset in my ear, it's no problem, I have missed several texts and notifications due to this and its extremly annoying

Any estimate on when it will be available again? I missed the "window of opportunity" and would have loved to get it even with all the issues

will there come a update soon? this was a 600€ phone and now my games are bugged or have bad settings, my screen is bugged, camera and chrome app dont work etc etc. more than 2 weeks now, this is not acceptable

With that many issues, you may want to try a fa tory reset. The only issue most seem to be having is related to gamebooster (breaking games) and reseting settings in gamebooster after any reboot or disabling it seems to fix it for most.
