About the Paid to Play Suspension.

We created Paid to Play as an opportunity for gamers to get rewarded, just by gaming. Since the program’s launch, over 1B zSilver has been exchanged and over 35,000 rewards redeemed by our fans.

We’re always listening to the community, and everyone’s feedback is important to us. With an increasing amount of negative feedback on the Paid to Play program, we’re going to be taking a hard look into the overall program and mechanics to do right for you and all the gamers who participated. While we take time to develop ways to make it rewarding and beneficial for all, we will suspend the Paid to Play program, effective March 1, 2018. In the event that we are unable to provide a satisfactory solution, the program will be suspended indefinitely.

Making Razer zSilver the rewards credits for gamers has always been our goal, and we’re constantly working on ways to introduce more rewards to earn zSilver. With over 50 rewards on the Razer zSilver catalog, kindly note that rewards will always be on a first-come, first-served, while stocks last basis.

If you’re a step away from redeeming your next Razer reward, here are other ways to earn zSilver:

• Using Razer zGold to pay for your gaming purchases
• Being an active contributor on Razer Insider
• Logging in daily on Razer Cortex
• Syncing your Steam account with Cortex: Deals
• Subscribing to Cortex: Deals newsletters and more to be introduced soon

We thank you for supporting Paid to Play, and welcome all feedback and suggestions on this thread. Should you have any other questions about Paid to Play, please write in to Razer Support or refer to our FAQs here.

Are the rewards still going to get updated? I mean, I have enough for a deathadder but I really don't want the "destiny edition"... I was about to get the normal one and they changed it that day :frown_:

Rewards will still be updated regularly like they have been in the past. The normal Deathadder Elite will likely make a comeback sometime soon, many people want that one over the destiny 2 edition.
I understand your need to suspend the P2P program, I have no problem with that, but if you're going to stop people from earning then you should suspend the expiration of points till the service is back up.
This is bad Thank you Razer i got my razer mug holder, razer base station chroma and razer hardware development kit from P2P program 🙂
This actually sucks. After telling my friends about this program, it is now being shut down...
To me i think it was never a "scummy business practice". Do you ever see any other gaming company that has P2P system and give away free things or the CEO of the company be so into the community? So i think its about the community not being able to appreciate good things because all they want is "better"
they did like the banks, at the beginning they gave you high interests ... with the time we ended up paying us the banks to make us keep our money ... it will end so too ...
WHY, WHY?! I love very much P2P. Because of this, Im able to play many type of games. Paid to Play is the most sucessful program or features in Razer Cortex. You should do a vote in community before you make any decision like suspension....
have some thoughts/ideas

1) make sure those in this P2P has at least 1 razer product registered to cortex. i think is totally reasonable to have one razer product if you are gamer/razer hardcore fan.

2) Rewards those who love and buy your products.
those starting out still gets 500zsilver a day up to a limit of 900z a day. the more products you have the more you earn daily to 900z limit a day

3)make the super popular titles permanent. there's no point putting them in the voting list when they will just win every single time. titles like dota2, LOL, cs go, pubg are highly popular in twitch n other streaming sites. putting them permanent will please a large number of gamers(review them after 3-6mths and see what other title to add in or remove). and then give the lesser titles a chance and put them in the voting list and give them a higher number of zsilver earned a minute than the bigger titles so people will give it a try

4) remove the expiry date. alot of them are working adults who might not have 5hrs a day to reach the product they want. it's disheartening to see that you have almost reach the amount only for the points to expire when you are busy with some project or not in town to login

5) instant ban them from cortex forever if they post threats or abuse the system which leads me to the 1st point. these people will think twice when their product serial is tied to the cortex, this will leave them out of the goodies razer come out with in the future. valve recently came out with this 6mths ban for dota 2 if the player abuses too much. i think these trolls become much nicer now

6) not sure if this is workable but store pickups for the items u want redeem?

yeah, they need to put the original deathadder elite back
I'm sad to see this go... and hopeful for it's return.

Thank you, Razer, for this awesome program! Thanks to Paid To Play, I'm now a proud owner of a practically free
Razer ManO'War!

I might still be able to scrape enough zSilver even from the free sources to get something big before I run out of any - but if I won't, I'll use it to something smaller and still be happy with just that.

Thank you again.
Part of me is disappointed in this cause it gave me an incentive to play a game back when it was available, but part of me didn't like how restricted your options were to WHAT games you could get zSilver off of, a.k.a almost all being either FPS or MMOs, which honestly I'm not exactly interested in. So hopefully after this, they actually open things up more so earning the stuff is both enjoyable and rewarding, and does not become just another money-sponging scheme.

And maybe the zSilver rewards will be better too. Personally, I'm hoping for better discount codes. $20 off anything is barely even scratching the price at all on nearly anything these days.

well just do a little research and you'll get your answer;

Negative reviews are truly an issue for a system that is based on a core gaming (grinding) concept but then these reviews would only be generated by people who are now addicted to the P2W system.
Well, it was a good 6 month grind for my 7.1 Kraken V2s. Gonna be arriving in 2 days time i can't wait!
@RazerGwynbleidd: With lowered reward prices and greater reward availability, zSilver could become and excellent loyalty program for zGold. As it sits, it seems like zGold isn't very appealing unless you buy from one or two stores (e.g. GG) or spend $2000+ annually (at the current rate of 1 zGold = 1 zSilver.)
Very sad was getting closer and closer to my first razer headphones. Usually only go for the mice but seeing as it was free wanted to try it out. Hopefully p2p comes back before all my silver expire 😞
If you guys plan to rethink and create a 2.0 version of this, would the community be involved in the creating process?

I agree, we really should
It's really sad. When I found out about razer zsilver, I was finishing my master's thesis, so I couldn't play anyway. I started playing one month ago, and I was really excited to have an oportunity to add razer gear to my razer blade. I was dreaming on the razer levianthan mini, a keyboard, a wireless mouse.
Now that's just dreams.
Please, don't cancel it. Just find a way to keep people from selling it.
Paid to play isn't just a way to keep people engaje with their games. For me, it's like the time I "waste" having fun, has some return, and that's truly amazing.
once again the self important trolls are allowed to louse everything up, instead of being dealt with by sysops... sad to see another great idea get trashed by the numpties... keep up the good work Razer, and here's hoping zSilver can be resurrected soon(another monthish and I would have had enough for my prize, the Blackwidow v2)

synapse you mean or at warranty... agree with this, but maybe make it more exclusive... min 3 product registered, to prevent those idiot who only make the program as their way to make money....

2) Rewards those who love and buy your products. those starting out still gets 500zsilver a day up to a limit of 900z a day. the more products you have the more you earn daily to 900z limit a day

and the one who buy the products also got some zsilver when they registered the warranty or using synapse 3....

3)make the super popular titles permanent. there's no point putting them in the voting list when they will just win every single time. titles like dota2, LOL, cs go, pubg are highly popular in twitch n other streaming sites. putting them permanent will please a large number of gamers(review them after 3-6mths and see what other title to add in or remove). and then give the lesser titles a chance and put them in the voting list and give them a higher number of zsilver earned a minute than the bigger titles so people will give it a try

the idea from the vote is to make us try new game that released outside the popular one.... if they make it permanent then there is no way that we gonna try those new game.... i think these new game have business relation with razer, as marketing way to introduce new game....

Bitauren007

4) remove the expiry date. alot of them are working adults who might not have 5hrs a day to reach the product they want. it's disheartening to see that you have almost reach the amount only for the points to expire when you are busy with some project or not in town to login

this I agree 100%.... better then expiry date maybe it more better to set limit of zsilver earning.... like max earning is 300k, if you reach that you cannot earn more.... this make us must spend that zsilver....

Bitauren007

5) instant ban them from cortex forever if they post threats or abuse the system which leads me to the 1st point. these people will think twice when their product serial is tied to the cortex, this will leave them out of the goodies razer come out with in the future. valve recently came out with this 6mths ban for dota 2 if the player abuses too much. i think these trolls become much nicer now

you mean remove their razer id??? makes them cannot register their warranty?? it's difficult to apply, cause cortex is linked with the razer id, you cannot login to cortex without razer id.... it's better make it exclusive using the amount product that we have.... so if they doesn't have razer product they can't join the program...

Bitauren007

6) not sure if this is workable but store pickups for the items u want redeem?

this I agree 100%..... especially for those who lives beyond razer map....
I know one thing, nothing is for free in earth planet.
Sad times... Hope we get a better and fun way to earn more zSilver, Paid-to-Play has introduced me to various new games every time a free-to-play game becomes part of the monthly games that earn zSilver.

Made me play Hearthstone and Battlerite.
Maybe remove the expiration date until you find a way to bring p2p back?

I AGREE WITH THIS 100%!!!!!
(Although with number 3, I did notice that a lot of the popular choice games were added to the list of games that allow you to earn 1zsilver per minute, but one of them not on that list was Smite, despite it having been one of the games in the original list before they added this voting option)
