Razer Chroma RGB

I had an idea for a new effect for the chroma studio. When you press the FN key on a razer keyboard, it lights up all of the function keys that apply to it. I thought it would be cool if we could use this effect in studio. I.e., it would be cool if we could have a function like reactive, but instead of lighting the key that was pressed, it would light a different key specified by the user.

Hey guys, Sorry is this post gets a little long winded but I'm having a lot of problems finding answers from anyone, specifically motherboard manufacturers. A few years ago I made a custom Arduino controlled RGB setup with results I was happy with but it's been a few years and I feel it's time to update this but things have changed a bit since I built mine. Seen here: RGB RAM sticks, motherboards, and video cards are all common place now and all things I want to tap into this go around but yet owning any of the components and just seeing the SDKs for each one, I'm having problems deciding which one I want to tackle. The Chroma SDK I feel is the most developed and best documented and would be the easiest for me to plug into but before I go out and spend a boat load for my next system I want to see if it's even possible to control all these components (RAM, Mobo, aRGB header etc) with my software + Chroma or not. Hi When I bought my Huntsman elite whenever I switched between chroma profiles the transition was smooth. I set up a "Office" and "Movies" profile. Office was a default one and when I opened VLC player it would go to "Movies" and lights on the keybord would dimm to the point that you could see the letters but it wasnt distracting. So both profiles had same effects (static white) just the one was at full brightness (all values to 255) and one was at a low brightness (all values at 25). The transition was like this: from fully bright keyboard it started slowly dimming to movies profile and vice versa. After some time I bought Razer Mamba Elite and since I hooked it up the transition is like this: Keyboard and mouse turn off lightning completely and then slowly start getting brighter. And this is annoying. Tried reinstalling Synapse but still the same. The thing is that I wanted to do Philips Hue lightning in my room so that lights would automatically get slowly dimmer when watching

Hey need a bit of help with this, iv been wanting a rainbow wave scheme to be going across my keyboard. Trying to design it my self doesn't seem to be working or down loading from others. If it helps apparently my files are meant to be ".chromaeffects" but everyone elses is in ".razerchroma" Whats going on? Getting board of the breathing scheme XD

Hi, So this is my first thread, so I apologise if it's not in the right place. I am finally taking the plunge and building a PC after many years of console gaming. I have decided on the case (Lian-Li pc o-11d Razer Edition) and the 9 fans to light this baby up ( Thermaltake Riing Trio) My question is have any X570 boards been approved for syncing with Chroma? If I went with the MSI range of x570 boards will I be able to control any of the RGB on the board/graphics card from Chroma? I know I'm after a Razer mouse/keyboard and I want to be able to control everything from one software and Chroma seems to be the perfect solution. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks NaZoooom

Already mentioned in the title and if possible to share a download link to some of your work. I really can't find any chroma profile for lancehead TE for synapse 2. Tried searching but didn't work.

Hello guys! I ran into a problem. Today i bought addressable RGB strip and MSI software uses it as addressable one but Synapse thinks that it is non - addressable (it can light it up one color at a time) so no fancy effects are available. Is it a limitation or it can be fixed?

Hello guys, i tried a lot but now im stuck. i bind on "FN+Page UP" mic mute. so i can mute my mic (wow :D). i prefer this for discord and not the hotkey setting in discord (with the hotkey i have an other issue. explan it later). with this mic mute action i would like to change my keyboard from Wave rgb (standard profil) to red (wave, rad,... the effect isn't important). I already have a mute profile with red wave but i can't bind 2 actions (mute mic and switch profil) on one key. for themselves the profil switch or mic mute/unmute works. is there any solution? short: my wish is: if i press "page up" my mic gets muted and my lighting switchs from rgb wave to red. and back. and my problem with the discord hotkey: i bind on "Page up" switch profil to mute. on profil mute i let them switch back to profil standard (rgb wave). This works well. also the hotkey on discord works well to mute the mic; WITHOUT the binding on my keybord for the profil switch. if i combine the two variants (cha

can I change the monitor? I have two, but it seems the colours can be only taken from the main one. Anyone knows a workaround?

So, I have a problem-when I run audio visualizer (3.06) all of my peripherals work fine, except for tartarus which simply stays frozen. Trying to run earlier versions mostly ended up not fixing it (some even lagged). I know there's a visualizer built in synapse 3, but I don't like it-keypad does start to work, but it's a weird looking line(something like firefly/mamba) and my hdk starts acting weird. Any help?

HI So i have a 180cm long desk and i want an addressable led strip on the back off it. i want a led strip that is min 2 m long and can be controlled in synapse. philips hue is not an option cuz its not addressable.

Hello Razer community! I am new here on forums, but I am already a Razer and Razer Chroma fan since 2015. I am a software developer from Poland. When I was exploring different forums, I was able to see that a lot of gamers are requesting an integration, which will work in sync between Chroma devices, Asus AURA lighting and Philips Hue smart home lighting. Therefore I started the project, which I called ColorFull. The application will be able to manage lighting synchronization between these three platforms! I believe some of you already saw my posts in other threads, that I am creating this piece of software. But as I got some interest in here, as well as on YouTube (not big tho yet :)) I have decided that I will try to develop the application more and more and provide all of the news in this thread. So below you can see what is already done in the app, what are my plans and so on. You are also very welcome to give me your suggestions for the application! I might look for some BETA

I have bought philips hue lights not so long ago and iv heard that chroma can manage these lights so i wanted to test it out, everything works as intended except for the ambient awareness first i saw that the edit region can't have small sizes region, and then i realized that it dosent pick the right color in my game. I was testing it out on world of warcraft where i have an addon for my health to be monitor. i tried to oversize my health bar to fit the minimum region size in ambient, and it was only picking the background world and not my big green health bar. so two complains here for ambient awareness: first does not pick what i see on screen and second the region edit is too large

Hello, So I was browing through best buy and they had a huntsman of some sort on display with chroma going, and the effect that it had was wave when idle, and ripple on keypress. Now I can set that up just fine, but the thing that I don't get that it did is that the wave effect stopped when you pressed a key, and resumed when the ripple effect finished. Anyone know how to do that? Thanks, Nate

I have a few RGB strips lying around along with a few atmega32u4 arduino boards, along with additional parts and thought it would be an interesting project to see if I could tie it into my chroma setup. Setting up the arduino to control the LEDs isn't an issue, I just need some way of communicating with the synapse software. As far as I can tell, the chroma SDK only allows for software to control razer's hardware, not allow additional devices to be added. So is there any way I could do this?

So I was trying to get Makro Buttons to blink on press and stop when pressed again. I have seen 1 Issue with this and 1 Annoyance. My issue is that I cant get the effects to loop. they stop after going of once instead of looping after I press the selected key again. The thing that Im slightly anoyed by is that Both effects seem to be rather slow in starting up unlike in Synapse 2, were the effect started almost instant here there seems to be a delay. I set the wave effect to 50 speed and no pause. And the breathing has been set to fast. Both are on Start: selected keys and, End: Selected Keys.

New here, tried searching for this, but can't seem to find a solution. I was trying to figure out, in chroma studio, a way to be able to hold a modifier key (say the ctl or shift key) and have that change the color of other keys while that key is pressed. Ideally i'd like to be able to hold down the modifier key, and then see the keys with related shortcut functions in a different color so that I can go to them quickly. So ctl is held down and then the S changes to red, to remind me that I can save. Is this already possible in some way that I'm missing, if it's not... how can I request this, as I think it would be quite useful, so much so.... I'm shocked there doesn't seem to be a way to do it already.

Downloaded the chroma sync app yesterday mainly as i wanted to see the csgo profile would do. However, after opening chroma sync and installing the "csgo mode" it hasn't worked since. It crashes upon opening it all the time now. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it about 3 times along with re-installing razer synapse. Ill link a short video below to what it is doing. Hoping someone might have an idea on what its doing. Thanks

I'm using a Razer Ornata Chroma and I've found that screen space that I believe is black is typically interpreted as, at least, grey. And honestly it bugs me enough not to use the feature. Can we get a "blackness" threshold configuration or something similar?

As the title states, Synsapse 3 will not control the RGB on my mobo. I have the newest mystic light installed and in Synapse 3 it shows in the connect "Devices" tab. I have tried multiple installs and uninstalls of each, and still no luck. I have G.Skill Ram and a DeepCool AIO. Anyone have any luck getting this to work? Thanks!

I know this topic has probably been already brought up but, is there a way to make the HDK sync with Hue ambilight app for windows(like in movies, etc.)? The only topics I found are from a few years ago and it seems like nobody ever found a solution to that. And if not, is there a way to sync it with the screen colors besides Hue?
