Stuck on "The current settings on your camera is different from Razer Synapse."

I'm stuck with this popup when I try to run Synapse to change settings on my Razer Kiyo camera.

Clicking either button does nothing and no other UI controls on the screen (e.g. Advanced Settings) do anything.

Therefore I can't adjust my zoom or any other camera settings.

Help please.

Windows 10.

The popup is gone but no settings can be made :frown_:

If that can help you because with the other pilot "Razer Kiyo" it does not work for me.

• Go to Control Panel ► System & Security ► System ► Device Management ► Cameras ► Razer Kiyo.
• Razer Kiyo double-click.
• Open Device Driver ► Update ► Search on my Computer ► Select from a list on my computer.
• Select USB video device.
• Restart your computer.

omg it worked, you are amazing, thank you very much, I wish you a wonderfull day
I have contacted email support. After sending a few reports and log files from windows synapse etc, I finally got this message :
------------
Thank you for the response,
We will escalate to the relevant team to check on the issue, please wait for the email from us.
We will be here if you need more help.

Maybe some razer coders will finally do something for the obviously bugged software ....
Omg, Ive been losing my mind for HOURS today trying to fix it. It;s annoying that we all have this issue, but I'm so glad I'm not alone!

Hi,

just performed all the previous steps, from selecting an updated driver to perform a clean uninstall & reinstall - without any luck ... any plans when an updated, well tested, version of this will be available?
Just asking as I do have another 10 days to return the hardware ...
Thanks to the help of Razer.SpeedCr0ss this was solved for me:

I still had ChromaCam installed ... all features for Kiyo are available and performing as expected in Synapse 3 after uninstalling ChromaCam.

I'm having the same issue, what can i do? I did Clean install too :slightly_sad:

What apps do you use that uses your camera. Do you have a third-party app called ChromaCam? If yes, please uninstall it and check if the issue persists.
This worked for me too, though I did have to restart (again) after uninstalling ChromaCam for it to finally work.
Another update on ChromaCam -with the latest Version 2.6.2.1 (Rel. Date 2020-11-30) the issue seems to be resolved.

I did install ChromaCam again, and now both Synapse and ChromaCam can access the Kiyo.
I see you have the same problem I have. Please let me know if you get any type of resolution.
Exact same issue here.
Same issue here, just got the cam today...
Same Issue. New today. Worked for a bit, was playing with settings. Went back into the software and got this message.
Me too! Just happened today. Was working fine for past few months since I bought it. Sucks! I'm going to buy a Logitech. Can't waste time on buggy software. Razer support, are you paying attention? This is your fault!

I'm having the same issue. My camera is stuck at maximum left pan, with no controls. This only started happening yesterday, and it seems that a lot of other people suffered the same issue about the same time. Razer broke something with the latest update. If they don't fix it within the next day or two, I'll have to replace my webcam (I need one for work), and you can bet that it WON'T be a Razer.

u can pull up pan control in either skype or streamlabs is all i recommend rn (since new cam costs money and this a free fix basically)

My OBS (twitch streaming software) brought up the controls, and I was able to recenter. It's roundabout and I'm SOL if MS Teams decides to reset my camera settings, but at least it's not staring at the wall for now. Hopefully Razer fixes this soon (and I don't have to deal with a POS $20 webcam).

same tbh... like i love my razer setup but having to work around like this is very upsetting... i mean the kiyo had enough issues as is for me with whenever the drivers updated it wouldnt be recognized as kiyo anymore and i had to roll back drivers... didnt mind that too much tho since like i just supressed them from updateing... but now having to pull up obs to control it is truely upsetting

Hey everyone! Thanks for posting your Razer Synapse 3.0 and Kiiyo's behavior here. Can you use other camera apps, or conference software such as Skype, Zoom, Slack, Discord, OBS, etc.? Please perform the following:

a. Please check your camera settings under Windows 10 mic, camera, and privacy settings and determine which apps use the Razer Kiyo.
b. Send me your Razer Synapse 3.0 logs by following the steps here.

Save the compressed files via Google Drive or to any online drive account then paste the link in your PM so I can forward it to our Support Team. Let' continue from there.

a) can use it just fine in other apps, settings are like always and wont even work with synapse when not in use by any other app. in synapse when i click on kiyo entire synapse crashes also if i hover over the kiyo on the symbol for synapse in task bar it doesnt show the name of my kiyo profile and when clicked to usually bring synapse up it also crashes.
b) i DMd you my logs. Hope they help sorting this out fast

Still no Synapse update...
Do they even care?
Might need to return this POS and finally switch over to logitech z.z

Just created one of my first NEGATIVE amazon reviews because this is pathetic.
