Synapse 3 for Mac

Hi all.
This post is to bring the attention of Razer's dev team and Razer's business strategic team to the need to update synapse at Version 3. I'm trying the new Mamba Elite and it's... absolute fantastic, better my old Mamba. I've tried it on my PC and on my Mac and Synapse 3 is necessary on both.
So, please, don't forget Mac community and make an update for Synapse: it's OK also a "light" version of drivers, without Chroma Lab, only for edit bottons on mouse and keyboard, macro and Chroma effects.

This will be nice to have a good present for xmas 🙂

Ill be honest. I don't know what you do to your computers that could possibly make that happen, especially windows. I had a some Really old Asus that I bought back in 2010 and It only stopped working just last year. It wasn't even a windows problem. I don't know how but A virus made its way into my computer and instead of debugging, I just bought a brand new HP Envy 360x. This computer is a absolute beast. It can run most games I play at about 50 fps and that's when its not running full power. I had a Mac in the past and I just couldn't deal with it. The thing that irks me the most about mac is that I can spend a grand and a half on the new Mac book Pro with a OMG it has a fingerprint scanner!!! Mine does too and probably has twice the processing and graphics power of most macs you will find out there. Also I hate their file systems. It looks like a two year old put together a storage system and since people nowadays LOVE simplicity Mac just works perfect for them. Being an Actual programmer (not very good at all but still decent) I personally love windows. I think this is now just me ranting. I just get mad bc Razer gets so much hate on this thread. People just download a software and expect everything to work perfectly and when it doesn't (its still in beta) They get super mad and want to "jump Ship" and "never going to buy another Razer Product again". You wonder why synapse 2 is bad... that's why they have synapse 3. Wonder why that's bad for a MAC? Its still in beta. I honestly understand peoples concerns about it saying it supports mac and all but like, cut a little slack. also remember that these mouse's and keyboards are doing things most others don't. for example the Razer Huntsman elite, It had OPTO-MECHANICAL SWITCHES. Each time you even think of a key its already down onto the document onto your computer. and for the mouse's jeez their mouse's are some of the best on the market. I personally use the lancehead. It has a true 16,000 dpi 5g optical sensor. I love using my mouse at 16,000 DPI. its amazing. Its not just the programing guys, its also the hardware itself. Sorry now I'm just ranting.

Just wanted to say I find two major faults with your logic:

1) If the only "real" gaming experience is on Windows, and Razer shares these views that's super elitist and frankly I'll walk out on them right now. No one defines what a gamer is, and frankly I'd consider this response to genuine questions about a lack of communication about support sad and apathetic
2) You might wanna actually do your research. Razer has been around for quite some time and has frankly fallen well behind in terms of quality. Am I really supposed to believe that a company who makes peripherals for every major console and it's own line of gaming laptops and two generations of gaming phones can't support them or communicate to their own existing customers as well as Steelseries, who not only has been in business for a shorter amount of time, but tells customers what works with their products and maintains relative parity with their software on both platforms (I would recommend them to anyone who made the mistake of buying paperweights- I mean accessories for their Mac from this company)?

Razer's motto should actually be quantity over quality from the state of affairs

Sorry but can you give me directions to the nearest SteelSeries store... oh wait, there isn't one. surprisingly enough razer is opening another store in las Vegas tomorrow. And if you think about it, 4 years is nothing in terms of business. oh while I'm at it I think I should buy a SteelSeries phone. or actually maybe ill buy a Logitech or corsair phone. Oh wait... Yet again, I cant. Razer is really a great brand that has done great things in such a small amount of time. And also, Corsair and Logitech were both before razer, and to me, it looks like razer has caught up. and you also said that razer cant support their products. Should I send you a copy of the code for legacy or for synapse 3 BETA? because lets not forget that it is in beta. And regarding your comment about the quality of razer, I personally use their products and love them much better than both Corsair and Logitech and Even SteelSeries, and trust me, SteelSeries is pretty good. And for one last thing, you realize that your are arguing and hating on razer on a website called razer insider, right?

UPDATE:
I went back and looked at my old post just to make sure. My exact words were
"But you do have to remember that they are a relatively new company (new for a business)".
I was absolutely correct in saying that because in a business sense, they are relatively new. so in your exact words " You might wanna actually do your research". or at the very least learn to read what people say correctly.

I love it when people can't just admit their wrong, but sure go ahead. If anything I'd find it more weird that someone who has no interest in gaming on MacOS is on a thread about the subject, but okay. I've made my point, you've made yours, and it still doesn't matter because it's not like support or even an official statement of whether I can burn my Razer products yet or not will come anytime soon. But yes I will check out your Razer store on the way to burn them if you want.

Well you see I first came on this thread to see what it was about. Because I visit most threads and comment on them I feel like it. So when I came on to this thread and saw all the toxicity on here I tried backing razer Up. But hey if you plan on burning them, you might as well sell them instead on eBay or something, because someone who appreciates the brand will buy them. But you are right in saying that razer isn't perfect. I personally don't like the pricing, I feel it is a bit overpriced but then again I put up with it because I love the brand. But if you truly hate Razer this much then go ahead and burn your products I guess.

Will also add to this thread - why doesn't Razer support Mac users and provide Synapse 3.0 to Mac as well

Razer is a company headed / main goal is to support gaming, which is mostly on Windows.
- So if Synapse was released for Mac it wouldn't really get downloads, well because they didn't release it in the first few months.

But i still hope they make one for MacOS, that would be nice!

(Note: This is constructive criticism so don't come to me and say bad stuff)
I have been using Mamba Firefly Hyperflux thing for a year now hoping that there will be a synapse 3 update for Mac. But no. Nothing. And no, i am not gonna install bootcamp just so i can install it and adjust my mouse and mousepad in Windows and switch it back.

If Razer gave up on Mac users, they should just make it clear they will not provide any further support to Mac in the future instead of just dragging us along. I am officially done with Razer after years of being their fan. Looks like they just don't give a shit about us Mac users. Just say the word.

Then sell your overpriced mac and buy a better computer that runs windows. I am almost certain that with how much mac charges for their computers, you could find one that is even better for half the cost.

There are those who care more than just cheap price and performance...I’m not gonna start that PC VS MAC talk with you here.

Besides you are missing the point.

Sorry but can you explain what more there is to care about? I like saving money. and I like faster computers.
I was given a Nari Ultimate for my birthday. I just want it to work with my macbook.
So, when is this happening for macOS? We could really use it on our Macs. Many of us love your products but many of us are just programmers, not gamers and a lot of programming happens on macOS.

or I can sell these overpriced periphery Razer hardware and buy something that actually works?
and I like computer, that is stable and works. deal?

honestly, I had to use Windows computer in the past two weeks ... and it was an utter nightmare. one of the apps I use, needed ages to start (other two regularly used apps were okay and started normally). installation of apps/programmes took much longer than it does on Mac (talking about same apps/programmes). and, as said, I do not use Razer mice for gaming but for work. and since it is written on the box, that it works on Mac as well, I thought this actually works, but unfortunately, more or less it doesn't.

but this is not the point of my post today. one thing I wanted to give a try in this time with Win laptop was Razer Synapse 3. it's still far from perfect, but it was so nice to use my periphery hardware without any hickups. it just works and does not lag the whole system ... why can't we, using Apple devices, have the same experience? in the end, we did pay same amount of money as did the Windows users ...

as said before, I was thinking about switching to Logitech and giving them a try, too. And I did (I do need mouse that actually does what it is supposed to), and Logitech is far ahead. yes, Razer Basilisk and Naga Trinity are way superior (keyboards are there there), but the software behind it works. and is updated regularly. and this is all I ask of Razer. to provide software that works and makes my mice usable.

Ok I can totally see where you are coming from. It helps when people post their problems with the app in a nice way and aren't super demanding. So props you on being so patient. I agree that if they say they support apple then they need to give it more time and energy. I just get fired up when I see so much Hate toward razer on a razer gaming forum. But yet again props to you for stating your issues in a calm and kind way.
Adding my support to this forum. I chatted Razer when I got my Huntsman elite keyboard. I knew Synapse wasn’t available for Mac, but support assured me Macs’ version was being worked on and would come out eventually. It’s been months since that. It’s just completely ridiculous, it doesn’t take even close to this long to work on a mac vs Windows version. I don’t understand the hold up
I guess us Mac users just need to migrate on over to SteelSeries. I bought one of their mice a couple years ago and it’s awesome. Can’t even change the rgbs on my Chroma keyboard anymore...
Well, I have a solution for those of us who need to run Synapse 3 on OSX. It is neither elegant, nor cheap.
It is however, functional.

Parallels for Mac does run the software and works fine.
It has a 14 day free trial if you want to see for yourself.

For those who don't know what Parallels is, a brief description.
Parallels is a virtual machine type software for Mac OS. If you already have a Boot Camp install it can use that, but if you don't, the initial install can download the latest Windows ISO and install a virtual machine instance.

Here is the problem. Parallels, is not free, as of the time I write this, it's like $70 US. You don't really ever have to pay for the Windows license if you aren't doing anything more than installing Synapse 3, but you read the T&C and decide for yourself. That is like another $100 or so USD depending on version.

Like I said. It is not in any way an elegant solution, but, it is functional until Razer releases a Mac version for the software.
I too own the mamba (wireless), huntsman elite, the mousepad and the speaker. Synapse 2 picks up only the speaker, not even the mousepad. AND MOUSEPAD HAS NO BUTTONS! This is so frustrating, all my Razer devices now running on different lighting. Razer needs to release Synapse for Mac!
i have Razer BlackWindow and is from Razer Synapse 3 hot to download for Mac ?
Yes but i don't want buy this Program the Paralles DeskTop i don't can buy Program with 80 euro Sorry i want the Razer Synapse 3 For Man and Windows no for only Windows
Please kindly update the Synapse support for macOS Catalina.
Hey guys, just thought I'd post here that I bought a Tartarus V2 to replace my Nostromo, which I use for controlling my DAW, Pro Tools to record, edit and mix music. (this is an untapped market for Razer, and a reason to support Mac OS I think!)

I discovered it will work with Synapse V1.87 for Mac on OSX 10.12.6, with the exception of horizontal scroll options on the scroll wheel. So it's pretty close to working, and I can even configure the colours etc!

One solution for Mac users could be to use ContollerMate from Ordered Bytes. This will allow you to remap everything on almost any keyboard/keypad. It still has an issue with horizontal scrolling from OXS 10.12 onwards, but there are more advanced macro options to get around it.

So for me at present, I'll be using ControllerMate for all key binding/macros and Synapse 1.87 for the lighting stuff (currently loving reactive mode!)

Hope this will help some of you.
My Deathadder works fine with synapse, I just received my black widow elite and I can't do anything cause a software isn't supported duh, bring synapse 3 please
I'm longtime user of Parallels on Mac and use Windows 10 for some scientific software. Never had problems integrating the two worlds but I need a mouse that will bridge the two systems seamlessly. However, I can't get my new Mambe Elite to work on EITHER platform. After carefully going through all the registration process, Synapse 3 on Windows won't show the Mamba...and no one at Razer will answer the phone or take a chat call!! Argh! LOVE the feel and accuracy of the new Mamba Elite but it's going back if I can't get it to run on EITHER system.

lol I want to buy huntsman elite keyboard but the synapse 3 doesn't support mac users. This is a huge disappointment since I love using razer products on mac. Not only the keyboard I want to buy the goliathus extended chroma and the headset as well but the synapse software makes me confused about buying it or not.

I actually own a Huntsman Elite since they released it, I am very disappointed that they still didn't release the day of today a version for mac
Hey Mac folks, don't hold your breath on Synapse 3 for Mac. Read the reviews about Razer on Glassdor (especially what the Software Engineers say). IMO Razer simply doesn't have their sh!t together to reasonably expect a rewrite any time soon. It seems to me they've been rebuilding the same rubbish legacy code for the last 4+ years.

Adjust your expectations accordingly.
