Synapse 3 for Mac

Hi all.
This post is to bring the attention of Razer's dev team and Razer's business strategic team to the need to update synapse at Version 3. I'm trying the new Mamba Elite and it's... absolute fantastic, better my old Mamba. I've tried it on my PC and on my Mac and Synapse 3 is necessary on both.
So, please, don't forget Mac community and make an update for Synapse: it's OK also a "light" version of drivers, without Chroma Lab, only for edit bottons on mouse and keyboard, macro and Chroma effects.

This will be nice to have a good present for xmas 🙂

As a Mac user myself, I am incredibly disappointed in Razer products of late. My father and I use about 5-6 Razer products between us, and they all have the same issues - Never sleep your Mac or Synapse will forget your settings, upon reboot you need to replug your devices in for synapse to sense them and apply your settings.

I like the cloud settings idea, but there is no local copy for anything. It is possibly the most buggy driver software I have ever used at this point. I no longer recommend Razer products for Mac as a result of the poor quality of the driver software. This is a shame, as I really want to keep using my Razer Naga Trinity in particular for my MMO gaming, and Razer makes the only MMO mouse for Mac.

Razer, PLEASE invest time in Mac users. iMac Pros and high end MacBook Pros have good enough hardware to seriously game as well as get work done.
Game developer here. I use Razer products for work / productivity on Mac and PC (Maybe it's not obvious but things like the Tarterus are awesome tools for Photoshop and 3d). Currently I'm stuck with older products (e.g: Tarterus 1) due to Synapse 3.0 not being available on Mac.

There's a huge potential market of people that could use Razer products for productivity being ignored here and it seems like the newer Razer products (Tarterus v2 etc) are only supported on 3.0.

It would be helpful if Razer would at least confirm whether or not they are planning / working on Synapse 3.0 for Mac or we should start to look elsewhere.
Got Huntsman keyboard as New Year / Christmas present and it doesn't work on mac... Synapse 2.0 does not recognize it, Synapse 3.0 is not available. That is so weird and bad... why would you ignore a significant part of your user base? Also why such simple thing as keys-engraving is not available for Mac users? All you need is a couple of empty keys with different engraving pattern (Which is not so difficult or expensive to come up with) and you would satisfy a huge and growing number of Mac users around the world, yet you choose to do nothing and now also ultimately ignore mac users at all with this non-supported software. I'm very dissatisfied 😞
Been a dedicated user of Razer stuffs for years. Now with the change to Synpase 3, products like Hyperflux doesnt work at all with the software. I have been using a 3rd party thing to accelerate since i bought this thing 6 months ago. If Razer is done with Mac, i am done with Razer.
Dear Razer, I'd like to propose it in a logical way. Many non-gamers (like designers, Audio and Video Editors, etc) who are top in the field of their profession have been utilising Gaming Equipment for their quality and build.

I myself am a DTP designer, is a former Windows user until we found Macs to be more productive. So at the time, when I transferred to Mac, I also brought with me my peripherals, liike mice, gamepads, keyboards, etc.

At the time, even though you didn't support Mac all that well, there were some options for us to use Razer products with Macs. But now with your statement

"The latest version of Razer Synapse 3 is only supported on the Windows platform. Synapse 2.0 for MAC will be available up to MAC OS 10.14 only. Moving forward, all new products will be supported exclusively on Synapse 3 for Windows."

This is a suicide statement to inform us, that Mac users are no longer welcome to use Razer products.

As a specialist, we do not budget ourselves when buying equipment for our work, unlike pure gamers, they want the best, but can't afford it most of the time, hence, big sales in cheaper products.

When discussing sales of your higher priced items like Huntsman Elite, Blackwidow Elite, Basilisk Ultimate, Nari Ultimate, etc. Who do you think are your most influencial buyers? Gamers? I find that highly unlikely. Mac Users spend more money per device, per accessory and per service than any Windows user ever. So, when it comes to your multi-million dollar sales mark, I urge you to consider the Mac market as having just as much potential as the Windows market. Unless you plan on selling $10 mice by the millions and forget your high line.

I'm just upset, because I've just purchased a Basilik Ultimate, Huntsman Elite, Tartarus Pro and a new Goliathus Chroma Extended, to find that Razer is pulling this stunt again.

For Mac users, I can only suggest, install and setup your goods through Parallels and store the settings on the device, then when you apply it using your Mac, it should still work. I hope it does for me anyway.

And this will be my final purchase from Razer. Adios amigo...it's Steelseries, Logitech and others for me. Even Corsair has updated iCue for Mac.
Yeah, I have to be honest. Synapse 3 for Mac would be awesome:

- I have three Razer Naga Trinity's.
- Two of them are on Windows PC's. One of them is on a Mac.
- Razer mice are incredible tools for gaining efficiencies. I understand that most of them are designed with gaming in mind but even with productivity software or digital audio workstations like ProTools, the speed gains are awesome.

The Synapse Legacy software is missing a few key features from Synapse 3:

1. The ability to save profiles on the local mouse hardware. This is truly missed as Mac doesn't properly startup with Synapse software no matter how you configure it. This in itself would save a lot of clicks for a lot of users as one wouldn't need to start it up each time the machine boots up.
2. Chroma is extremely limited. There are only 4 options compared to the layers of adjustments and tweaks you can make with Synapse 3.
3. I am wary of purchasing new Razer hardware as I'm not sure it will be compatible with the software. As a user concerned with efficiency I want to be able to use the same hardware on each station I sit at to reduce the time needed for familiarizing. I'd love to try new Razer mousepads but don't want to bother as the Mac is a key part of my workflow and some peripherals will not work.

Please release Synapse 3 for Mac.
Just adding my support... Just got myself a Naga Trinity (@ Fry's while on business trip in Tx), and Synapse2 on Mac doesn't correctly drive it! I will primarily be using it on Windows, but plan to bring it along on business trips with my MacBook Pro (2017 with touchbar model)!
Lighting comes up sometimes, but often also doesn't... It doesn't correctly show which sidepanel is installed, and often only works for a short time when I press *some* of the side buttons...
Macro's (esp those using mouse clicks) don't seem to work at all...
Will also add to this thread - why doesn't Razer support Mac users and provide Synapse 3.0 to Mac as well
I have macbook pro and bought razer blackwidow elite. No luck, synapse not support my keyboard. Additionally, I have wmware fusion and installed windows inside it and not working also. PLEASE PROVIDE MAC SUPPORT TO YOUR KEYBOARDS.
lol I want to buy huntsman elite keyboard but the synapse 3 doesn't support mac users. This is a huge disappointment since I love using razer products on mac. Not only the keyboard I want to buy the goliathus extended chroma and the headset as well but the synapse software makes me confused about buying it or not.
It's a bit silly that products are being released that require a beta version of an application in order to function. Synapse 2 should be maintained and support all new hardware until Synapse 3 is in full release. But what do I know, I have only been developing software for 20 odd years.
I just dropped 3 hundred dollars on a mouse and keyboard which are not compatible with my Mac. Im not using them to game, Im using them for work and DJing. I spent over an hour trying to download drivers and install products that this company has quietly claimed they have no intention of making compatible with my computer. Incredible waste of money, incredible waste of time. Very disappointed.
I have talked with razer and they say that they are busting their asses to have the synapse 3 working with mac users. I have an ornata chroma myself an you might know that the lighting is kind of half of the keyboard.
so yeah FIX THIS RAZER!
WTF is going on here, Razer? Quit screwing around and do this already. What are you going to do, leave your products unwanted by half the computing community? Quit being a bush-league mickey-mouse outfit, get your thumbs out of places your thumbs don't belong and get this job done. You charge big boy prices for your stuff, so quit being LAZY, and do the big boy job.

And no, "we can't" isn't going to fly. You did with Synapse 2, so you can with Synapse 3. Get it done.
If Razer is done with the Mac. I'm done with the Razer!

At least add information on the box like : This mouse doesn't work properly in Mac
I have Deathadder and i can't even set DPI on my mouse!

This is huge misleading and wasting people's time with this!
Very dissapointing!
Just got an OS alert about legacy drivers for Mac OS X and not being supported. Even with a virtual WWDC coming in a month, they usually show the next version of the OS and then as estimated release date.

So, now the clock is ticking. I've been using Razer products for years, always on the Mac OS. Razer has supported us for a long time and now ... nothing. You guys won't even comment on the threads. It's like suddenly we're abandoned. Your hardware is great, and a lot of us aren't just gamers but developers and artists that need the accuracy and control your hardware offers. But without a software update, you'll literally lose an entire user base overnight.

so help us. like someone else said, even releasing a "lite" version or updating the Synapse 2 drivers for Catalina and beyond would keep us going. It's a shame we have to beg for even a reduced driver, but you do have a market here. and we talk about the equipment we use. so help us. support your Mac users the way we've supported you. We're running out of time.

This is the 198th post in this thread without a response from Razer. Come on, guys. Help us out. Even open source the driver. something. respond!
Hi everyone!

I create this project to set color effects natively on macOS Catalina:

https://github.com/1kc/razer-macos

Please check it out and see if it helps you.
Keyboards are working very well at the moment, while mice and mouse mats are still in the testing phase.
Would be good if you guys let me know how well it works.
And now Razer release a Pro Type keyboard which is only compatible with Synapse 3, and didn't say a word about the fact that Synapse 3 and so this white pro keyboard will not work on MacOS.
I see from here the confused customers which will end here.

Hey mac users! just created another Synapse 3 Mac thread with poll to try and show Razer how many of us there are. It may not help but it's worth a shot if we can get an update pushed sooner than later. Go vote! /vote-for-synapse-3-for-mac.62310/
+1 to all of this thread! I'm a programmer who uses a mac and wants a cool glowy keyboard that syncs colors with my mouse and stuff. Razer, know that there are Mac users who want to buy your awesome products, but are dissuaded for lack of software support! I've set a google alert for "Razer Synapse 3 Mac," and if one day there is ever mac support I'll buy whatever the shiny new top-of-the-line razer keyboard/mouse combo is and bask in the technicolor glow.
I work on Mac and my Razer products do not work properly... I bought a last mouse it disconnects from time to time and I can not use the colors correctly. In addition to this, on the site Razer it is not indicated that it does not work on Mac !

Guys, plz, release Synapse 3 for Mac
Razer, wake up!
almost 300 posts, 15 pages of questions and purchases made by people expecting support and having spent thousands of dollars on your equipment. please reconsider synapse 3 for mac.
anyone know what to do if my ornata v2 wont connect to razer synape 2. im on mac btw
I agree with You!!!!!

Such a great feeling to come home with your goddamn 180 euros Blackwidow Elite and plug it in your Macbook Pro just to find out that you can't do anything with it, no customization at all -- and it was the main reason why I chose a Razer keyboard! Now I'm stuck with the most boring of light cycles because Portugal has shitty consumer laws and I can't return it and Razer can't even stick manual control to regular light cycles such as their trademark rainbow LSD one. This is so heartbreaking because I've always had a wonderful experience with Razer's headsets -- goddammit, I currently own two pro v2 ovals, a black one and a quartz one -- I was really starting to get into their products and this happens. Put it in goddamn huge letters in the box DOES NOT WORK WITH MACOS, is that too much to ask? Seriously, screw Razer on this, there is no excuse for duping customers into spending so much of their hard earned cash and leave them hanging. This might be my last Razer product ever after all.
