Coming here to say I'm also frustrated with this. I have $500 of Razer peripherals. Looks like I can't buy many of the new ones because they are no longer compatible with Mac, and what I currently have is frustrating because synapse 2 crashes once any hour.

On Mojave it is now even worse and is routinely the cause of preventing my computer from waking from sleep or shutting down/restarting properly. I'm sick of waiting. Dealing with my computer freezing and having synapse 2 crash all the time is so frustrating that I'm going to spend another $500 somewhere else to replace all my Razer gear with Steelseries, Logitech or one of the many other companies that have actual Mac support.
Wow.... a modern technology company ignoring the needs of so many users. This is 2021 Razer and Macs are no longer a niche. Im going to sending back over £400 worth of Razer products because of lack of support. Will also be replacing my Kiyo Pro with A Logitech Brio as well.... at least Logitech support Macs. Whats odd is i've read that Synapse is cloud based so why all these issues.... you cant even get it working using Crossover. Honestly this is a joke and I will do my best to make people aware that this is the case. If v2 is Mac compatible why isn't v3 even years after its release. Gutted as I was genuinely looking forward to using these products. Guess they don't care.

I do also own a gaming PC which they do work on but if it only supports a selection of my hardware then it doesn't belong in my collection. Simple!!!! Cant believe they are choose to lose so much $$$, their business manager must have been an a true business major!!!!!
Incredibly frustrated. Come on Razer. I know it's still in beta, but put some effort into Mac support, or I'll have to take my business elsewhere..
razer should treat mac users better. Wont buy razer products anymore. Waited one year to make synapse 3 available for us.
When is Synapse 3 for MacOS expected to be released? I would like to buy a Razer Huntsman for my iMac Pro but for reason I've not clear u don't support on Synapse 2.
It's a year later, still no mac build for synapse3. WTF.

My goliathus chroma mat either gets to look out of sync or black. At least the keyboard I got works (it uses an older version).
Please kindly update the Synapse support for macOS Catalina.

Hey guys, just thought I'd post here that I bought a Tartarus V2 to replace my Nostromo, which I use for controlling my DAW, Pro Tools to record, edit and mix music. (this is an untapped market for Razer, and a reason to support Mac OS I think!)

I discovered it will work with Synapse V1.87 for Mac on OSX 10.12.6, with the exception of horizontal scroll options on the scroll wheel. So it's pretty close to working, and I can even configure the colours etc!

One solution for Mac users could be to use ContollerMate from Ordered Bytes. This will allow you to remap everything on almost any keyboard/keypad. It still has an issue with horizontal scrolling from OXS 10.12 onwards, but there are more advanced macro options to get around it.

So for me at present, I'll be using ControllerMate for all key binding/macros and Synapse 1.87 for the lighting stuff (currently loving reactive mode!)

Hope this will help some of you.

Mate you totally lit my life for a reason to buy a Tartarus but now I have to wait for Razer to make some serious Synapse support for Mac (though I really appreciate the tip on ControllerMate + Synapse 1.87 just in case). Sorry Razer you oughta miss some more bucks here by now...
At this point this issue should be a consumer protection issue. They are highly misleading with their products. There is a huge number of people that purchased these products with the expectation that they would have the same functionality on OSX as others. Waiting a year+ for support is insane.

I rarely advocate for these things, but honestly we should all just start filing complaints with BBB or other orgs.

As a Mac User, I'm in the same boat as everybody here (and the lack of Synapse funcitionality with Catalina is one of the main reasons why I haven't upgraded my system - that and a lot of the other manufacturers of software I use with my MacBook say not to upgrade yet if I still want to use my software).

Be that as it may, I'm going to have to leave this here, from the Insider House Rules thread:

Basically, it is against the Insider House Rules to encourage group action against anybody, including Razer.
Anyone have any success using Synapse 3 through Parallels?
I work in production with commercials and just got to try out Black Widow keyboard, fell in love, and bought one for myself, a black widow elite. Now I can't use it proporly, or programme my keys. Sitting on a mac with Mojave, of course, and I'm truly disappointed.
Ok so I stared to look for older equipment and purchased a firefly cloth edition and a mamba tournament edition in the hoped of them working with the older synapse 2 as it states in the documentation. My firefly arrived and it is not working, I started to look around and found there are a lot of users with the same issue on Catalina. I have not received the mouse yet but fear I may have similar issues, this is frustrating as razer used to support Mac users and now nothing. Synapse 3 has been in beta for over a year for PC and new products are getting release with Synapse 3 only support so live products with beta software support for PC and no support for MAC. I would really like to get my peripherals to work on my Mac but I may just have to return everything and find another brand.

I have spoken with support and their suggestion was to signup for the newsletter and check Facebook in case razer releases anything for MAC. Seriously that is the solution, its been over a year with no support for Synapse 3 on Mac, its about time something came out.

Is there anyone out there from Raser who can let us know if this is ever going to happen? If not just let us know and we will move on to another brand.
Is there any word on when they will eventually release Synapse 3 for Mac?
Couldn't agree more.

Lack of support is something that you would not expect from company as Razer.
They should support not only Windows, but Mac and Linux as well. Period.
Well that's not much of a fix then... We need something that works on MacOS. I find it ridiculous that users have been requesting this since 2018 and there still hasn't been a response from Razer. I just got my Goliathus desk mat and realized i cant change the lights, so disappointing :(
Has anyone found a workaround, one that doesn't involve virtual machines?
I feel like there has to be a way to get their attention this is an issue which has affected us for two years. Is there a way to share a p e t i t i o n with yall without getting into trouble from the big man?
same. I REALLY need this as I use a Razer Kraken Ultimate headset, and I mainly use a Mac, and the Kraken Ultimate is not compatible with synapse 2, so this is something I NEED

Hi all.
This post is to bring the attention of Razer's dev team and Razer's business strategic team to the need to update synapse at Version 3. I'm trying the new Mamba Elite and it's... absolute fantastic, better my old Mamba. I've tried it on my PC and on my Mac and Synapse 3 is necessary on both.
So, please, don't forget Mac community and make an update for Synapse: it's OK also a "light" version of drivers, without Chroma Lab, only for edit bottons on mouse and keyboard, macro and Chroma effects.

This will be nice to have a good present for xmas :)
I have been following this issue for a long time now. I started with a couple of Death Adders, got myself and my son each a Naga Hex, got my other kid an Orochi, and I now have a Naga Trinity. So, we have been using Razer mice for a long while now. But, I guess we are done. We all use Macs and we are not changing that anytime soon. So, unless there is a Synapse 3 for Macs or some alternative, we are done. That's a shame because I like the design and hardware durability. The software have always been the weak link and now I fear the software will be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back. If anyone has any advice or suggestions, I am all ears.

Dear Razer, I'd like to propose it in a logical way. Many non-gamers (like designers, Audio and Video Editors, etc) who are top in the field of their profession have been utilising Gaming Equipment for their quality and build.

I myself am a DTP designer, is a former Windows user until we found Macs to be more productive. So at the time, when I transferred to Mac, I also brought with me my peripherals, liike mice, gamepads, keyboards, etc.

At the time, even though you didn't support Mac all that well, there were some options for us to use Razer products with Macs. But now with your statement

"The latest version of Razer Synapse 3 is only supported on the Windows platform. Synapse 2.0 for MAC will be available up to MAC OS 10.14 only. Moving forward, all new products will be supported exclusively on Synapse 3 for Windows."

This is a suicide statement to inform us, that Mac users are no longer welcome to use Razer products.

As a specialist, we do not budget ourselves when buying equipment for our work, unlike pure gamers, they want the best, but can't afford it most of the time, hence, big sales in cheaper products.

When discussing sales of your higher priced items like Huntsman Elite, Blackwidow Elite, Basilisk Ultimate, Nari Ultimate, etc. Who do you think are your most influencial buyers? Gamers? I find that highly unlikely. Mac Users spend more money per device, per accessory and per service than any Windows user ever. So, when it comes to your multi-million dollar sales mark, I urge you to consider the Mac market as having just as much potential as the Windows market. Unless you plan on selling $10 mice by the millions and forget your high line.

I'm just upset, because I've just purchased a Basilik Ultimate, Huntsman Elite, Tartarus Pro and a new Goliathus Chroma Extended, to find that Razer is pulling this stunt again.

For Mac users, I can only suggest, install and setup your goods through Parallels and store the settings on the device, then when you apply it using your Mac, it should still work. I hope it does for me anyway.

And this will be my final purchase from Razer. Adios amigo...it's Steelseries, Logitech and others for me. Even Corsair has updated iCue for Mac.

Man I couldn't agree more. I'm in the same profession too, and have been very disappointed in the lack of support Razer has for Mac. I got my stuff to work at first, then it was nothing but problems, and couldn't get much help so I stopped using it. Pulled it out the closet months later and had the lights working anyways, still had trouble with the mouse glitching out, which doing graphic design and video, is a PITA if the mouse glitches... Now I got another Mac, same exact model, just another one, and I can't even get the lights to do anything. Stuck on one pattern. My mouse pad stays on a single color and won't even read in the Synapse app... I've wasted well over $500 on Razer products from multiple mouse pads, mice, and keyboards, to sit and collect dust. Each time I've reached out, have been treated as if it's my problem, yet all my cheap products off amazon haven't had issues... I think it's bout time to just move on and never look back.
We are not gamers here, but working with several Razer devices : Blackwidow Chroma v2 (orange switch) keyboards and Mamba mices.
The bad quality of Razer's software is already famous.
The loss of respectability will be more expensive than simply updating a driver.
Is this for real? Just bought keyboard, mouse, headset and mousepad for my kid three month ago and I explicitly told them that I will use the stuff with my iMac. For how long have this information been out? I know you guys at Razer have a licensing issue but I got a hardware issue and the hardware is your brand not working on my computer as of today since you decided to kill the driver renewal. Please show me the EULA/SLA.
I love my Deathadder Elite and my Nari Ultimate headset. The Deathadder is still supported by synapse 2 but it is long out of date and they really need to release v.3 for Mac. Now whenever I turn on my computer I get a notice saying that V.2 will no longer work with the next release of macOS, coming this fall. This is bullshit on Razer's part, it really isn't that hard to port the damn software! JUST DO IT ALREADY, PLEASE! There are hundreds of comments here about this, why is no-one listening to us????
nearly 2 years later and there's nothing
this is unacceptable

Perhaps we should start buying Corsair Products. Their iCUE software is working fine on MAC.
Maybe thet helps Razer to do something about their Software.

I ended up moving to corsair so I can switch between my razer laptop and mac for gaming. I now have a corsair keyboard and mouse and they work beautifully with mac as well as PC. Welp. They lost me for now.

I gave them about a year and a half of waiting and gave up waiting after hearing crickets. No love.
