I recently purchased a new Razer Blade 15 with 10th Gen Core i7. I have an Anker Thunderbolt 3 port expansion that includes one HDMI port, audio port, network, and a variety of USB-A and USB-C ports. I have two monitors I am trying to connect to it but am having some issues. One monitor is connected directly to the HDMI port on the port expansion. The other is connected to an HDMI to USB-C dongle connected to the port expansion. The laptop sees both monitors and I can use them both but what I am looking to do is keep the lid closed and ONLY use those two monitors. The issues I am having are the laptop seems to only want to allow the built in display to be mirrored to one monitor then expanded onto the second one. If I try to disable the internal screen everything gets slow and choppy. Secondary to this I would love to be able to power on and wake the laptop from sleep without needing to open the lid and from what I can tell I should be able to do with the port expansion connected. So, I have a USB-C dock station with 2 DisplayPorts to 2 4k monitors. Everything seems to work fine, however I noticed the graphics is being served by the Integrated Intel graphics and not the nVidia GeForce RTX 2080. Has anyone gotten this to use the RTX GPU? I can't seem to force it to use the discrete graphics and am wondering if it's b/c I'm using a USB-C dock instead of a Thunderbolt 3 dock. Thoughts anyone?

Hello fellow cult members. My mom has been invested in buying me a new laptop for school, and the razer blade is the laptop I wanted, but for some reason, she doesn't want to get it for me. I told her about how good the laptop is, and how the razer blade is the windows equivalent to a MacBook, but still, she wont get me this laptop. If there are any blade users out there that are also students and have some advice in how I convince her that would be great. I am a student and a music producer so this laptop will help me advance my work a lot. Also, my school has extra-curricular activities which require a good laptop that I want to be apart of. We have a E-Sports team and a Experimental Vehicle Team, plus a NASA program. We also have a lot of 3D-Printers. If there also are any executives out there that have this notebook and are willing to share me some points with how I can get my mom to buy this, that would be great. Any advice will work for me. For the 2020 models, does the razer blade 15 base has the same charging port as the advanced? Which charging port should I buy for the razer blade 15 base?

I was looking into getting a razer laptop and was wondering if all the laptops that razer has to offer do they all support vr like the oculus rift s or do you need a pc to use vr.

I'm going to university to do graphic design and i'm looking for a laptop, I've spent a few months just looking at different ones and i keep coming back to the Razer Blade 15 (base model), I would mostly be using the laptop for programs like Adobe Illustrator or InDesign while running spotify in the background, but I also would play games on my laptop too which is why I'm looking into this laptop still. I just want to know if this laptop is gonna last 3+ years and if is reliable enough for me to spend £1,700 on. Any information on this would be helpful, thankyou!!

Hi all, hope you can help me out here. My battery life seems to be abysmal - I'm rarely even getting 2 hours out of my machine and that's with battery set to BATTERY SAVER mode. With other modes I'll rarely even get 1.5 hours. Has anyone else been getting the same crappy battery life? Do I potentially have a battery that is nearing its EOL? My machine is out of warranty now so I am hoping this is not the case :slightly_sad: Cheers, Huey. I literally just got my Pro 17 delivered and while the power adapter itself is fine, the power cable to the wall socket is the wrong plug. I honestly don't feel comfortable using a UK to EURO plug adapter with it, as this thing apparently needs the juice, and I don't want to blow the adapter up. My question is, can I go to the store and buy a European plug cable and use that plugged into the Razer adapter? The power cable Razer sent me (with the UK plug) looks like a stock standard power cable off the shelf (there's no Razer branding or anything on it) and I just want to get confirmation before I switch it on. Hi! So, I recently just removed the battery of my laptop due to swelling. Then now, my laptop, which im using without battery, is randomly shutting down whenever im opening games like apex, valorant, sea of thieves etc. For now, it only shuts down randomly when im starting the games. Help me solve this please. Thanks!

I just placed an order for razer blade pro 17 4K today. According to the discount, I should pay $3,599 instead of $3,799, but I charged $3,799 at the time of payment. How to solve this problem?

We just bought a Blade15, charged it, started it, and all that keeps coming up is an error message that says. “The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click ok to restart the computer and then restart the installation.” We click it, it reboots, then the same message just pops up again. PLEASE HELP, we are noobies that just bought it for our sons birthday. Have no clue what to do next.

I'm interested in buying a Razer Blade 15 GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q, Full Hd 300Hz 10th Gen Intel Core i7, 512 GB SSD. I've been locking for this model with a French keyboard (azerty) but on the French site, the keyboard layout i's not stated. I know that the french layout exists because I was able to foud it on Amazon, but I prefer to buy the device on the official site with the student sale code. My question is: if I buy the PC on https://www.razer.com/fr-fr (the french site) am I going to get the French layout keyboard or the standard US one?

I am trying to understand how the GPU utilization works. In the screenshot I attached, i have MSI Afterburner reporting the GPU load as an overlay, but it shows a drastic difference than what Windows Task Manager Performance shows. Can anyone explain this to me? It appears that the integrated graphics is doing more than the NVIDIA 2080, which i dont understand. I apologize for the maybe easy question, i am trying to troubleshoot whether or not NVIDIA Optimus is working correctly.

My friend and I have the same 2019 Blade 15 with 8th gen i7 and 2060 graphic cards. In Cinebench R20, he would get over 300 points more than mine in every mode and his laptop would run 10 Degree hotter than mine. His laptop stays in higher frequency longer than mine does even though both are power limit throttling. Why is that happening? I tried undervolting on both using throttlestop and his laptop got 2900 pts in Creator mode and mine got 2600 pts. For reference - Balanced mode - I get over 1800 pts and he gets over 2000 pts.

Im new to this so I apologize in advance for this question... but does the Core X need firmware updates periodically? Or is it just good to go forever once you get it plugged into the system?

Hi there, I've seen a past forum post on this issue, but I haven't seemed to find a proper solution. I am experiencing a kernel power state failure (Event 41) so I figure I'd try to use the Razer provided firmware updater. I am running into an error as follows: "This firmware tool is for use only with Blade & Blade pro series... The application will now close". I read that it was possible that the S/N doesn't match the BIOS' version but it does (checked thru CMD and on the bottom cover). Is anyone aware of a solution to make the firmware updater work? Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place!

Hello all I just upgraded my laptops memory with Kingston HyperX DDR4 3200 C20 2x16GB. does the laptop support the higher speed since its running them on lower clock speeds at the moment at 32GB SODIMM DDR4 clocked @ 2933 MHz https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/31472559#MEMORY_KIT is there a way to let system use full bus speeds. Hi everyone, first post here. I made the mistake of connecting the charger of a higher voltage scooter to my Razer Blade pro 2013, what happened is that the motherboard got overcharged but still works. Only problem is that there's a component that got fried and it controlls the speed of the ventilators. https://ibb.co/FqSHZxd Maybe some of you could give me the ID number of that component (attached as link there's an image), so that maybe i can find it with a provider in China and replace it, or even greater, to provide me the producer of that part. I know is an old laptop but still works fine for basic 3D stuff, otherwise I would simply make the system to work at full ventilator power all the time. Thanks in advance

I have a Razer Blade Advanced (mid 2019), and recently purchased an Oculus Quest VR headset. I forked out £80 for the official Oculus link cable, but it runs like a dog through the thunderbolt port, frame rate in single figures. I read somewhere that the Thunderbolt port does not pass the nVidia graphics card so you end up using the on-board Intel graphics. That sucks. Is this true? Is there a way to get the Razer Blade to work adequately with Oculus Link? Would a standard USB-A to USB-C cable work or does that also suffer from the same issue with connecting only Intel graphics? I am using Virtual Desktop app which works quite well over WiFi but would like the throughput that the USB 3 cable should bring. Thanks!

Hi all, I've come to this forum for some advice regarding my Razer Blade Stealth 2017 13" model. My laptop currently has a SEVERE battery bloat, as in the chassis is severely warped and I can view the internal workings of the laptop through the side. However as I bought my laptop in 2017 it is out of warranty, and the damage is so bad I'm afraid I won't be able to afford repairs through razer. I believe my only option here is to continue using my laptop despite the risks, I'm a university student and need access to a laptop, and given the circumstances with COVID my funds aren't high, especially to repair such an expensive laptop. I guess what I'm asking is, am I crazy to continue using the laptop? I NEED it for school work and am low on funds, I just feel like I'm out of options. Thanks in advance.
