For those that have been following my channel I have done several videos on throttlestop. The last upload here was a very detailed understanding of the options within throttlestop The next uploads have been broken down and will explain what the CPU does under certain conditions and eventually I will show you how to see this for yourself and show you how to control it.
I have purchased 2018 razer blade 15 base model with 2TB HDD and 256 SSD and it came with windows 10 installed on HDD. Which is too slow. Help me move the OS to SSD. I tried to clone HDD drives to SSD and restart, but I could not select SSD as my boot drive from boot options.
Hello, I was interested to buy Razer Blade 15 gaming laptop having Intel Core i7-8750H https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-Gaming-Laptop-Thunderbolt/dp/B07MK77VXZ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=razer+rtx2080&qid=1573605353&sr=8-1 Since my work involves working on software, I need to know if Hyper-V is supported on the hardware or not. I did check the intel specs, but it comes with a " * " stating "This feature may not be available on all computing systems... Check with vendor..." It would be really helpful if someone can please let me know? I was following this checklist: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/reference/hyper-v-requirements?redirectedfrom=MSDN Thank you, AB.
Hi everyone, I am planning to buy a higher performance laptop. I notice that Razer launch a Blade 15 with an optical switch keyboard version. I would like to ask all of your opinions and feedback. Besides, I am would like to ask should I upgrade the SSD storage and RAM? Since most of the recent games were in large file size(E.g. Battlefield V 85.5GB), thus, should I upgrade to 1TB storage? Also, I often stream on Twitch, in that regard, is 16 GB is adequate for streaming while gaming? Or should I go for 32 GB? Nevertheless, do you recommend to purchase Razer as a laptop brand since so many people said the overheating issue and it often crashes for both system or hardware a short period of time
Dear, Is there any news on the "Razer Blade Stealth 13 (late 2019) GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q" version if it will come out with a Belgian 'Dot' [Azerty] keyboard instead of the Nordic keyboard ? Hope someone can help ^^ Kind regards, tr3x
Hey Guys, I'm wondering if the 2018 Razer Blade with 1070 GTX and 144hz will support up to 64 GB of ram? If yes, which one you would recommend? I already searched the Internet and the forum, but it doesn't look like, that anyone tried this before. Cheers Daniel
I just got my blade stealth 13 gtx 1650 - 512gb. What I get is only 400gb free of 460gb. Its disappointingly small, normal? Definitely thinking of upgrading the ssd, if i were to upgrade the ssd, what is the maximum i can go? 2tb? Thanks!
Hi guys, I'm new to community ! I'm currently standing in a place where I want to buy a portable laptop for my coding job. I'm travelling quite a lot during the week but when I'm at Home over the weekend I like to relax and play games.(metro, tom That's why I'm very interested in stealth 10gen. With few tweaks I'm able to create my work environment on windows 10 OS. So now what's the best way go: Should I go for 10gen with gtx 1650 or 10gen with irish and when I'm playing at home connect stealth to core x ? I sold my old gaming rig and I kept rtx 2070 so card is there I'm just missing core X Is core X or chroma working without any issues with stealth 10gen? (why chroma? extra usb ports) for gaming I'm using ultrawide screen so it would be always connected to chroma while coding or gaming at home. I see also iris version is 25W vs 15W with gtx 1650. I'm assuming iris version got same cooling as gtx one right ? Any advice would be very helpful.
I am currently in college doing a graphics design and animation course and I am looking for a laptop (preferably razer because I can get student discount) the new blade 13 fits my price range but im not sure if it can handle high level renders without a dedicated GPU. I probably could get enough money for a blade 15 but if the 13 is good for what I need it for then theres really no point (and I hate the green on the back of the 15)
I just want to share my experience buying a Razer Blade 15 at my local Bestbuy last weekend. I saw online that there was an open-box for Mercury White Razer Blade 15 with 2070 Max-Q and 144hz panel so I went there to check it out. I asked the store rep for that open-box and he can't find that exact model but there's another Mercury White open-box in the store. It was 2070 Max-Q with 240hz panel and it was listed for $2599.99 but Bestbuy is just selling it for $1489.99! I thought that there maybe lots of cosmetic damage on it so I checked it out, and I can't find any scratches and it still has the original box and everything that came with the laptop even the foam that protects the screen. In the end, I didn't think twice. I bought it right away and I'm happy with that purchase. =)
Hi, I have a Razor RZ09-0102. The screen has been broken off and is no longer connected to the motherboard, and the cable is dead. I can turn the laptop on, verifying that it's on by seeing the caps lock light. However, despite connecting to an external monitor via HDMI I can't see anything on that monitor. Is there anything I can do on the keyboard that will toggle / default to the external monitor? I have tried FN + F4. Thanks, Simon
I couldn't boot from an USB device and so I followed a tutorial to setup Legacy boot support. Now when I power up, I don't even see the text for F12 to select boot, F1/Del to enter Setup, etc. How can I reset BIOS to factory setting? Urgently, Thanks, William
The GTX 1650 model that came out just a few months after we bought the MX150 Stealth also happens to have BETTER battery life while being significantly better at gaming. Apparently, its only drawback is that it's not that great for video-editing but I think it's safe to say most of us don't really care about that bit. So I spent a significant amount of money into a device that immediately got outclassed in every way. Well that hurts.
[LEFT]Hi all, so I have a few questions but firstly let me tell you what I have done. I recently bought the blade 15 2019 advance model with RTX2070 max-q and boy does it run hot. So its undervolted and clocks were lowered to 3.5GHz with Throttlestop and the GPU has been overclocked as well using Afterburner which has been a god send on most games that utilize the GPU more than the CPU. Temps on titles like resident evil 2 and doom were in the mid 70s to 80deg for both the CPU and the GPU. The issue is when games like KCD or Total war - Three Kingdoms, which are more CPU intensive, ramp up the CPU temps to late 80s/90deg and in turn increase the GPU temps to 82ish deg due to the vapour cooling. I have a limit on my Throttlestop of DTS 10 and 83deg Now from what I see the 45w limit is in a good place and there's no need to try to get more out of the i7-8650H with the cooling capabilities of the blades 15 slim design BUT I do see a little head room for the GPU to be improved a littl
Hi All Is there a way to force my Blade 14" to ONLY use the intergraded intel graphics and disable the dedicated GPU when on battery power and then use the dedicated GPU when connected back to mains power. Best
Need a good portable laptop of around 12-13 inch with a good performance. Need a good battery life and will need to work on some editing software. Also looking for a good design in rose gold or pink color. Just came across new Blade Stealth 13 Quartz Pink edition and am thinking of getting it.
Hey guys, at https://www.razer.com/chroma the demo change Parts of my Keyboard. I own a Razer Blade 15 Base Model, it has a Single Zone Chroma Keyboard. Thats okay, but the demo change parts of it and in Chroma Studio i can only change the whole Keyboard. Is there a feature i missed? I don´t mean to change the color of different parts, but some parts a dark and others are bright. So it must be a Synapse 3 restriction not hardware right? Can someone explain that to me? Greetings.

I am planning to buy Razer Blade 15, but before I spend tones of money, I would like to ask what software will be the laptop provided? I know that Cortex and Dolby Atmos will be free in Razer blade, but what other else? Will it have a better steam software? Or any video editing software? Thanks for all your input
My son has an Blade 15 Advanced (2018) with a 1070 Max-Q GPU. I have the same model with the 1060. I'd like to swap GPUs between the two machines? Is that practical? Is there a guide for doing this online somewhere? Thanks.
If I check for upgrades to Intel's drivers on this web page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html It tells me that there is an update available for the driver for the Intel® UHD Graphics 630: Latest version: x.x.x.7372 Installed Version: x.x.x.7212 However, if I try to install it, I get this error message: Previous updates have worked just fine. Will this be fixed or should I assume I won't be getting any more updates for the integrated graphics? This is on a Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2018) with GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics.
For grins, I downloaded Intel's CSME Version Detection Tool and ran it on my 2018 Blade Advanced model. According to the tool my system's ME is still vulnerable. I recently installed the v1.08 BIOS, and a few months back installed the v1.1.10 ME Update so I think I have the latest of everything. Here's a link to Intel's security advisory page. Will there be another ME update for this machine?
So I've had this laptop for awhile now and am quite happy with it. That being said, I've noticed thermal throttling does start to kick in ~30min into a gaming session. So I looked into undervolting as a method of preserving cpu life and sustaining performance. Which brings me to this oddity. On laptop power with a tweaked "power saver" plan in windows 10 with integrated graphics running and battery saver enabled on balanced in synapse I was able to get roughly 6hrs of battery life out of my razer before undervolting. After undervolting by -0.160mV with the same settings enabled im now only getting 2hrs? I dont get it, aren't I restricting power? Shouldn't this therfore improve my battery life? Used intel xtu.
Hello, I am a happy owner of the laptop in the title. I love it so far. I have a question though to someone more knowledgeable than me: Is the GTX 1650 hooked to the Thunderbolt 3 port? Meaning, can I get a adapter from thunderbolt to HDMI or a dock for this laptop and it will use the DGPU? Or am I stuck using integrated GPU on my screen
Hi! I am wondering if this panel I found is compatible with my Razer Blade 15 base model. The original razerblade panel: http://www.panelook.com/NV156FHM-N61_BOE_15.6_LCM_overview_29824.html?spm=a2g0s.imconversation.0.0.536e3e5fp48c9Z The panel I want to upgrade to: http://www.panelook.com/NV156FHM-NY1_BOE_15.6_LCM_overview_41243.html
