I think a few of you notice I've been poking around the forums the last few days. Well that's because after some testing of other laptops, Razer has proven they have the best thin and light gaming laptop on the market. And no one is covering it. So I'm back with the Razer Blade Pro and I'm here to tell you. . .the Blade 15 is obsolete. Buy this model instead. If you have questions and tests you would like to see me do with this laptop then make some noise. If you guys would want a more full review thread then make more noise. I'll be glad to do what I can. Out of the box firestrike score. No tweaks everything is stock. Look at those cpu temps! For some reason the CPU score is 200 points lower than the Alienware M15 I had. Not sure why. But, the GPU score is just shy of 23K. Here is the temps and score on my Alienware M15 I returned. I had repasted, undervolted, and used a cooling pad. . .and the temps don't even compare.
Hi All Recently received my Razer Blade 15 Base and above the keyboard, top left there is a specification sticker that details processor and graphics card in the unit. It actually goes over the edge of the keyboard and flaps over the charging port, do all Razer's come like this and is it best to take them off?... what do people generally do?
Okay, so in the past I’ve had no problems cloning and swapping drives using Samsung migration software. However now that Samsung’s software is useless because it won’t recognize a Samsung drive while it’s in an enclosure, I cannot use their software. I cloned with Macrium, no boot. I cloned with AOMEI, no boot. What am I missing? Every guide says you should just be able to clone and swap. Is this a Razer setting in BIOS that’s not allowing it? Edit: I’m cloning the 1TB Samsung 970 Evoplus.
I recently purchased a Razer Stealth 2019 - i7 4k, MX150, 16gb 512gb. I purchased this because all the reviews I read said this is the most powerful ultrabook on the market. As a photographer I need a powerful and light editing and travel laptop. For photo editing, CPU speeds (not necessarily core count) is the most important factor and the 4k display is also helpful for crisp images. My previous laptop was an HP envy 13t with similar specs - 8550u, 13.3 4k touch screen, 16gb ram, MX150, 512gb. However it was hardware TDP locked by HP where it will boost to 25w for a few seconds and drop to 15w and no amount of tweaking can unlock the TDP. I was able to a -94mv undervolt it a bit for better performance, and during Cinebench R15 it would boost to 3.1ghz before settling to 2.6ghz. Editing on that laptop was painfully slow with large 42MP raw files. I was super excited to receive the Stealth and it's a beautiful laptop. I did got a -115mv undervolt and the laptop was able to hit 4.1ghz a
I have a 2018 (I believe) Razer Blade 15 Base Model (m2 + SATA storage). One with an i7-8750H and not "vapor cooled" Is the heatsink or heatspredder made of copper or aluminum? I understand repasting will void my warranty, which I still have, but I am curious if you are able to apply "liquid metal" such as Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut to the CPU and/or GPU.
no number pad WHY ? this is one of the many reasons I buy 17 inch laptops ! so annoying.
So I bought the razer blade 15 last week, and when I first started the computer up I got an error about a shell folder failing to expand. I thought nothing of it until I downloaded and started playing a game. Before this I made sure to download all drivers and check for updates. When I was playing, my frames would stay around 100, then they would randomly drop to around 40-50. Since then I factory reset the computer, got the same shell folder error, and am still having the same problems. Anyone know what's wrong or what I can do to fix this?
Hi there, I'm planning on purchasing a Razer Core X for my Intel NUC Skull Canyon, as I think it's a perfect option for a minimal gaming setup (switching from a massive Alienware taking up way too much space). I already have a GTX 1660, so I think the i7-6770HQ and the 1660 would make a great combo. However, before I buy it, I was just wondering where I should plug my displays into: The onboard graphics, or the 1660? Which is the best in terms of minimal latency / best performance? I've heard answers surrounding this but never a clear or concise answer. Thanks, Sasha
i hope it will...
Does anyone know where to buy razer blade 2015 battery pack?
Hi guys, I'm here to get help with my laptop if possible. First of all, I am French and I have just received it. It's a Windows installation problem, it says: "The computer has restarted unexpectedly or has generated an unexpected error. The Windows installation cannot continue. To install Windows, click" OK "to restart the computer, then restart the installation." But I clicked "Ok" already and the same window appears. What shoud I do?
Will Razer ever expand it's services to Turkey? In country selection settings, there is no such option. I would love to see Razer allowing shipping to Turkey.
Why doesn't the Razer Blade Stealth have a 4K no touch-screen option? I would love that as it might be cheaper than touch-screen for some people that wouldn't want to use a touch-screen laptop.
I was about to return my 2060 Blade 15 to Best Buy, because the coil whine was so loud it was like the system was whistling sometimes. Before I did that, I decided to check the support page downloads, and discovered a bios update and another firmware fix for some controller or another. Good news! In the notes for those two updates, it specifically calls out motherboard noise, and after updating, coil whine is GONE!
Hi, Has anyone encountered Slowness with Steam Link and the Razer blade 15? I tested with a physical Steam Link and the App and the results are the same. Its extremely slow when selecting different games as compared to my Macbook there is absolutely no lag. No I'm narrowing it down to the Razer's network card/firmware. Because over the Wi-fi or Ethernet my Macbook was fine but the Razer blade wasn't. So the issue isn't with the Steam Link. The Razer stays in my bedroom and there is no ethernet port in here So i can't link it up via ethernet. But if the steaming is OK over wi-fi on my macbook but technically it should be OK on the razer blade. Can anyone give me some advice?
I have a Razer Core X hooked up to a Mac Mini. The graphics performance is great. Build quality of Razer is very, very fine. I think Razer has a new fan. The closest build quality I've seen to Apple pretty much ever. Even got stickers to boot. I have the Mini and the Razer Core X attached to a PSU. Do I hit the power switch on the back of the Razer Core X after every use to turn it off after I turn off the mini? Or is that bad wear and tear for the egpu/psu/gpu? Thanks! ^_^
Hey everyone i'm happy to announce I received my Blade today! I will do my best to answer questions about it. Hopefully this thread gets some traction so we can use is as an information thread/comparison thread. Post pictures when you get your Blade etc. Let the games begin!
Does the Razer Blade 15 with the 240Hz screen and RTX 2080 have a second M.2 slot? I would like to add 500GB to it so it has a total of 1TB but I do t know if it has a second slot. If it doesn’t I’d have to get a 1TB which is more expensive.
Hello, I'm going to be buying a blade soon (1TB HDD + 128gb SSD) and I'm wondering what upgrades I can make. I plan on upgrading the ram, but I can't find the exact type of SSD is already installed, is it a 2.5inch or a m.2-2280? Also how would I go of moving windows from what ever drive it Is on to the new one? Thank you.
Hello, im affraid this has been asked before, but I could not find an answer to my question, so my apoligies if so. I bought the Blade 15 base @ 256GB SATA nvme ssd + 2 TB HDD. I now plane to upgrade the SSD but couldn find any sepcs to the m.2 socket, if it can handle ssd drives with higher bandwith as SATA 3 speaking of pciex4. So in short: Can the Blade Base Model with its m.2 socket handle nvme drives via pcie x4 @ 3.xxx GB/s isntead of SATA 3 @ max 5XX MB/s ? Greetings, Daniel
Hey everyone. Need a little help and guidance. I just bought a brand new Blade 15 advanced GTX2070 Max-Q with the 4k touch screen. Awesome machine, except for the size of the drive. I want to swap it out for a 2TB NVME M.2 drive. Here is what I bought: - Addlink S70 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 m.2 2280 SSD. Amazon link - An external m.2 NVME to USB3.1 Type-C Gen2 enclosure Amazon link I connected the drive in the enclosure to the USB type C port on the right side of laptop, downloaded Macrium Reflect, and "Cloned Disk" as described in a YouTube video I found here. Upon running the Macrium process after selecting the drive, deleting all partitions on it, dragging partitions from the original disk to the new blank one, expanding the C drive on the new disk, it seems to run for about 15 seconds and then fails with an unknown error. I tried it twice and same result. I suspect it has something to do with the generic enclosure but not sure. Upon plugging in the enclosure to the
When it comes to the logo on the back. The Stealth does look more mature and clean, less childish.
Thought I would write my two cents on the Razer Blade Stealth 2019 as I received mine in the mail today, and in summary, im blown away...once you do a little tinkering to get it running perfectly, its amazing! A little background, I am moving away from a top end 2013 MacBook Pro and a Ryzen 1700/RX2070 Desktop to this one machine in my life, with plans to later sort out a V2 Core for desktop work. The MacBook Pro was too big to travel with, the desktop even more so...and this Stealth seemed the perfect jack of all trades. Read every review and watched every video out there, so was aware of potential QC purposes, but took the plunge anyhow, and I am super happy that I did. I bought the mid-range MX150 model, with plans to upgrade the SSD to 1TB. Opening the box and powering it up, I noticed the speaker crackle issue. No charger issue, that works just fine. One reviewer complained the body is too sharp on the edge, to me its just fine....just dont grip it too tight. They keyboard is
I have a macbook pro and i want to buy the razer chrome x however i want a strong gpu because I will use it to render architecture related items. Those softwares are accessible through windows so however I will be using bootcamp will the nvidia rtx 2080 a good option and will it work fine with macbook pro 2017 and bootcamp?
Hi, I'm about to take the splurge and get my first Razer laptop, but I'm not sure which of these two options to go for. I'm assuming a 2070 is going to be able to run any game out now and for the next few years at full specs (correct me if I'm wrong), and my priority between a significantly better screen and a marginally better GPU would be with the screen. After some brief reading it seems the 4K monitor is indeed significantly better than the 144hz Full HD version. Is there anyone that can confirm this? Or basically tell me if they think the increase in GPU power is worth the worse quality screen? Thanks in advance
