Meet the new Razer Tiamat V2 Headsets

The world’s first true surround gaming headset returns, better than ever, and of course with that new sexy Razer Chroma lighting.

The new Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 analog gaming headset sports 5 discrete drivers on each ear cup to deliver a robust true surround sound experience with unparalleled precision. Technically sound (heh), the sorcery is enhanced through its accompanying Audio Control Unit that lets you fine-tune audio settings for each driver. Master the battlefield by defining the soundstage, take victory through sheer audio advantage.

PC enthusiasts rejoice — there’s no need to choose between a Razer Leviathan speaker setup or a headset configuration. The Audio Control Unit doubles up as an audio pass through to allow quick switching between headset and your external speakers.

Hardcore gaming audio, accompanied with matching ergonomics - we’ve redesigned the headband to double up on comfort and fully accommodate your most intense and lengthy battles.

Available alongside the true 7.1 headset is the new Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2. That’s a lot of 2s. 2 discrete subwoofers, 2 custom-tuned audio drivers. Take that bass response up a couple of notches and hear your games rumble to life. Punch up your audio experience anywhere, whether you’re on PC, consoles or mobile.

Epic Sound, Epic Bass.

this headset looks really cool
I posted once before here, but I can't help but say.
That these... I really wish I had the money to give them to my Fiancé, he would be so happy after his loss of the old ones.
Cant wait to get these, good job Razer
I like this Headset so much 🙂
espero que seja tão bom quanto o kraken haha.!
A very nice looking headset!

Could you give me a review about Tiamat 7.1 V2? About RGB sync with some game, and surround in it?

My pair came 2 days ago and it took some time to set them up. I had issues with my Asus Z-170 AR Mobo / Realtek drivers. Caved bought an Asus Xonar sound card and can say after tweaking some settings and getting them just right these headphones are great. I'll say to the average user just get the Kraken 7.1's if you want to just plug headphones into your PC and start using them. If you don't mind taking the time to play with settings / controls these are fantastic. The build quality is really impressive as well. They feel like a product that costs $200. Much better than the first ones imo. For those wondering I upgraded from Kraken 7.1 V2's.

Hey,

Can I asked what you tweaked? I have the same sound card and no matter what I tweak they sound pretty bad. It can't be the headphones themselves.
Nice headset with best monitors http://monitor-kaufen.org

crazy question, any plans to do a trade in program? like how the samsung/iphone guys do it.... trade in your iphone 6, get a discount off of an iphone 7.... would be rad cause I got some barely used tiamat 7.1's just collecting dust at home... lol
Has anyone found the perfect EQ setup for this set? I love the overall sound quality, but I find myself constantly tweaking the settings. Just wondering how much success other users have had finding that perfect sweet spot.
Anybody already try these? I use the Razer Adaro because the braided cord is on my old kraken would make noise in the headset when it rubbed against my Razer hoodie. Wondering if this happens when using the Tiamat? I know it's a nit-picky thing but I don't wanna give up my Adaro for surround just yet otherwise.
Merhaba my razer maowar is doesnt do visualizer plese help

Same here. I am very disappointed.
For those having bass issues read https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/1kjrds/how_to_fix_the_no_bass_problem_on_your_razer/
It helped me with my bass issues on my v1 tiamat. Also you don't use the Razer surround sound sofware.

Also found this.
Even when you set to 7.1, if your front channels are defined as Full Range speaker you will not notice the subwoofer.
Try as follows on Windows 7:
- use your Realtek HD Audio Manager and set to 7.1 channels
- right click on the taskbar's speaker icon and go to Playback Devices
- select your speaker and click on the Configure button
- are your channels set to 7.1 surround as you set on the first step? if not, change it now. click next button
- select all the Optional Speakers. click next button
- now you must uncheck both Front and Surround speakers. click next button
- click finish button
- still on the Playback tab, with your playback device selected, click on the Properties button
- go to Advanced tab
- select the highest sample rate and bit depth possible
- select both checkboxes you have on Exclusive Mode (Allow applications... and Give exclusive...) and click OK
- click OK

The main objective here was to define that you have a subwoofer, because Tiamat really has, and the only way to do this is setting all your speakers as High range only so the Lows will be directed only for your .1 channel (subwoofer).
After that, try to look if you have some kind of LFE config on your Realtek HD Audio so you can try to define a crossover as I did. The crossover will let you define the maximum frequency you will direct to your subwoofer. I recommend something from 70 to 80.
If you don't have any crossover functionality on your device, the only way to adjust your subwoofer will be through the Tiamat main control and unfortunately the only possible control is over the volume
I have my Tiamats hooked up to an Asus xonar sound card and I fixed my bass issues by fiddling with windows 10 sounds properties for the headphones. Making sure they were selected as “7.1” and then in the xonar software I made sure they were set up as “7.1” speakers and turned on “flex bass”.
I'm using Windows 10 not 7 😞

I'm using Windows 10 not 7 :slightly_sad:

The steps should be similar.
