  1. Hi everyone,

I haven't been following this thread for a around 15 pages and since then I haven't had any problems, However recently a couple issues with my RB 1060 1TB have come up.

First problem is small...I get clicks (sometimes loud) when I rest my left palm on the computer, its more annoying than anything, does anyone else get this?

Bigger issue is that my power adaptor is randomly disconnecting. Sometimes it happens during games but its also just happening randomly when i'm on my desktop. I see my screen dim and my keyboard lights change to battery level. Then it will randomly come back...The battery icon switches from charging to just battery.

This is not good and i'm not sure what to do, any suggestions? anyone else experience this?

    Thanks.

  2. Hi,

I just wanted to say that I have been following this thread since page 5 or so and it helped me a lot. Besides the 3dmark being lower then expected (which I can life with) i'm also experiencing the clicking noise when I rest my palm, but with me it's on the bottom right corner.

    Cheers.

gsedory, did you use notebook fan controller? that symptoms usually happen when using that program from what i know.

For the clicking sound i don't have any idea about it. try open the bottom hatch and screw it right back. Or shakes the system a bit to see if there is anything stuck inside. Proceed with caution, this is problem sounds very mechanical

    Hello guys,

I just wanna share again my FireStrike results.

Today I benchmarked at room temperature, with an external 1080p
    monitor, disabled notebook screen:

    9303

This is great, because from now on I only use this external screen at home :)
Remember I've had ~8875 out of the box on my blade.

I've gotten 9785 best with all the tweaking I could manage (overclock GPU, undervolt CPU to give GPU more juice and less heat, etc).

Intel XTU to undervolt CPU and integrated GPU, you'll have to find your own balance. I think for the test I did -160mv on CPU and -50mv on GPU, but I had to pull back to -150/-40 while on battery cause it downvolts naturally too much then. MSI afterburner +200/+400 on the GPU (which is insanely good for an overclock AIUI, but maybe helped by the CPU undevfolt), which was stable for testing. Don't need it for regular gaming so I just turn it off.

The model is a Samsung MZVLW512. I'm not sure if this is the PM961. I looked up the CrystalDiskMark results of a 960 Evo, the Evo is faster than this.

@fleas2016 , yes it is the PM961....in this new generation, samsung made the EVO faster than the PM and pretty much just as fast as the SM961 that I have. The 960 pro, as expected, is faster in the sequential writes at 2100MBs and has higher IOPS.
For comparison, here is the 1tb SM961.

tried -135 UV and 150/300 OC. only managed to get 9360ish.

You should be able to get at least 9600 with OC. I managed to get near 9700 or above without UV, just with OC. Not sure what is going on with yours.

Hi, if your firestrike overall score over 9000, that's okay, under that contract Razer. It's a thin and great built and looking Laptop compare to other competitors like AW or MSI. OC is great but it could harm your hardware, just use your Blade for your purpose or play some games, it play all game nowadays at good fps. I do OC when it's really needed, like on my Razer Edge to play any demanding game on go. Because i don't care if it broken;) The edge is already on his age:)

  19. If it is done correctly, an overclock will not harm your PC, for the most part as long as you are not upping the voltage, or overdoing it you should be OK

Yes, PC is okay, I do also in my tablet, Razer edge because it has better space and thickness for cooling and like i said for better gaming experience i do it and have no issues with it. But for the Blade, I personally won't do it considering its tinny chassis. And I think overclock value is different in every unit, and when it suddenly shut your system down, it will slowly harm your system. I am not against OC but at the moment I am happy with firestrike scores between 9200~9300. I will do it with my blade maybe later some time in the future;)
