  1. Ever since i got my keyboard(BlackWidow Chroma) that has Swedish and Norwegian layout, Synapse 2.0 keeps adding Norwegian layout to my computer.

    My Windows 10 have Swedish and English keyboard layouts installed as i toggle between them when programming.

    The NOB language pack is not visible in Windows installed packs or in regedits preload, only SWE and ENG.
    I have disabled all inherited permissions to the entire keyboard layout folder in regedit and removed 'full control' from the SYSTEM permissions.

    The only way for me to temporarily remove this language pack is to manually install it to Windows only to remove it again. But after a few hours or days Synapse adds it back like a virus i just cant get rid of.

    This is not a problem without Synapse installed but i need it for my macros and lighting profiles.

    I would appreciate help in solving this matter. Thanks.

  3. So they are aware of the inconvenience but does nothing in order to solve it?
    It doesn't seem like it would be a very difficult thing to solve. A few lines of code and push an update.

    Unfortunately i cannot use Synapse 3 yet since it doesn't detect most of my hardware even though it says so on the page it will only detect my BlackWidow Chroma keyboard and not my DeathStalker keyboard, Mamba or Firefly.

    Since you own more than one Razer device i have little trick for you which can make your life easier. When you finish playing with keyboard within Synapse 2 just make active different device, ie. mouse. This should reset keyboard layout to your original setting. And ignore additional installed layouts.

  5. Could you please elaborate on that? I'm not sure i follow.

    I've noticed that Synapse changes keyboard layout only when I select BlackWidow (bottom left part of the Synapse window). But when I select my mouse system keyboard layout reverts back to my original setting. So, select BW, play with macros and lights then select mouse and close Synapse.

    You can fix this using a simple PowerShell script that you run automatically at startup or just make a shortcut to your desktop to run it after you've plugged in the keyboard. You can configure the script to add your own culture code to it. The attached script is removing "Norwegian Bokmål", which has the code "nb". I've added several other culture codes for example sake. The way you run the script from a command prompt:
    Remove-WindowsLanguage.ps1 -Lang nb

    Replace "nb" with whatever you need as parm.

    Here's the script. Save it as "Remove-WindowsLanguage.ps1" somewhere on your drive. Then make a shortcut to the script on your desktop where you specify the parm you want to use.

    Script in ASCII below
    #region PARAMETERS
    [CmdletBinding()]
    param
    (
    [Parameter(Position=0,Mandatory=$false)][ValidateSet("nb","en-GB","en-US","es","fr","fr-FR","fr-CA","sv-SE")][string]$Lang="nb"
    )
    #endregion
    #region LOGIC
    $list = Get-WinUserLanguageList
    $list.Add($Lang)
    Set-WinUserLanguageList $list -Force
    $list = Get-WinUserLanguageList
    $list = $list | Where-Object { $_.LanguageTag -ne $Lang }
    Set-WinUserLanguageList $list -Force
    #endregion
