  1. Oh...I tried signing up but they are like remaking that part of their website. It says it is unavailable

I do have an order number, if you've got the rest of a link that might work?

The link didn't work for me, but thanks for trying. I got an email from Razer saying the new ship date was the 11th. No explanation of issue or delays.

I wonder if they're required to meet commercial seller demands first. Should have stuck with Amazon. Never ordering anything through Razer again.

Hello guys, finally after 2 weeks, I got the replacement. But guess what, exact same problem with the electrical buzz, fan noise, low battery performance. I have no idea what are they thinking.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
Should I give razer another chance?

When you say "low battery performance" what are you referring to? Battery life? Or do you have performance issues in gaming while plugged in vs running on battery?

Ok great well keep me updated on performance when you get some games installed. I would like to know exactly what you are seeing. the big issue in question is performance plugged in vs battery.

Mine has not changed from "submitted" since October 16. So I'm not sure what's happening. I had pre-ordered initially when they said it shipped the 25th as I was hopeful I could get it before November 9 for my trip. Doesn't look that way now though :/

Regarding the performance unplugged Vs plugged, I realized that Geforce Experience has a Battery boost feature and this features caps the framerate at 30 fps for the sake of saving battery.

Changing the power profile on windows and on Geforce Control panel didn't help me as I still get 30 fps locked in shadow of mordor when unplugged.

If anybody knows how to disable this feature, I can try to disable it and run the same benchmark as I did when I was plugged in. If I can avoid registry hack, I would rather =)

EDIT: Never mind I found how to disable it (I wasn't looking in the right place)

And I got some Benchmarks for you guys:

    Plugged in:

And here is a lousy video to show the benchmark running on battery (Plus some stats on afterburner for the ones interested):

That will be something you just have to live with unfortunately. So many have that issue.

Coming from the Macbook Pro retina, can anyone compare the screens of the Blade's QHD+/FHD models to the rMBP. Really conflicted between the two, although think i will appreciate the colour levels and gloss (what kind of weirdo likes gloss right), there is obiously the £300 price difference.

    Cheers guys!

  15. I too came from a Retina MacBook Pro. Honestly, and this is absolutely personal preference, the MacBook Pro has a great looking screen. It has a better aspect ratio (again, just my opinion), better viewing angles, and low reflection for a glossy display, and better brightness. One of the first things I noticed when moving to a Razer Blade was some sort of coating that they put on the display of the QHD that makes it look sort of grainy. It is almost just like getting a Zagg Invisishield screen protector like 5 years ago when it made your screen just not quite as crisp.

On the matte FHD, you notice a big difference because it is 1080. But, it is a cheaper system and 1080 isn't exactly terrible on a 14" screen. I really do love a QHD display though. I think they look great and Windows has made strides with 10 to make scaling better.

Anyway, I think you buy a Razer because of the performance, but you have to give up a little bit on the aesthetics and screen quality.

  16. Just an update for people trying to get a Razer Blade still from the Microsoft Store.

It isn't on their website, but I just walked into an MS store in Salt Lake, Utah and they had very limited inventory of the FHD 512 GB version. Unfortunately, I tried to purchase it even though my heart was set on the QHD and I asked to boot it up in store before I bought it and it had a blue screen and wouldn't boot up. Their tech support couldn't trouble shoot it and they only had the 1 in stock. So very sad....

Wow that's a crazy story O_O The one sample and it's broken.

  18. Yeah. The worst part is that I bought my first Razer earlier this year with the 970M. It had a yellow, not bright screen issue. I returned it, had to wait 4 weeks for them to get in stock again, then my 2nd one had an HDMI issue. Every monitor I plugged it into kept flickering constantly.

I won't lie that I desperately want a great working Razer product and I am sure they are out there, but it is pretty crazy that I am 0-3 right now.

I know people bash Apple for their crazy high prices and lower specs, but I never bought a bad MacBook Pro and I have owned roughly 6 different ones in the last 10 years.

Was hoping to make the switch to get a great graphics machine.

    Maybe one day...
