So guys it seems if you install the Google Camera app APK on to the Razer Phone that is better for taking pictures so I'm assuming its the Razer stock camera app is the issue
I have it. It definitely have better detail and clarity (in a good amount of instances), but it tends to make the colors darker, and kind of washed out too. I don't know how to explain it, it's like underexposed and colors are very neutral and gloomy. If that makes sense. So I just use the standard Razer camera app.
If I have to zoom in really far I use the Razer Camera App. If not, I use the Google Pixel Camera App. Just download the Google Pixel Camera App apk. With that app the camera's are AMAZING. Updates to the Razer Camera App are coming though.
Am I the only one that when I try to shoot video whether rear-facing or front-facing mode on any app, including the default Razer camera app, it seems like it zooms in a lot, and you can not unzoom? I feel like when doing video the Razer phone (at least mine) uses the telephoto lens (zoom), and it starts out already zoomed or that the telephoto is a lens that hardware is a zoom lens.
I see they released a camera update that makes it snappier. The burst photos work well. I just want the option to manually control Razer's cameras a little more so I get more rawness and authenticity. For me, this is a good thing since I like my photos like that. It makes the image easier to work with in editing. Too much contrast or blown out colors is basically lost data, but I can see how it'd be useful for people who like that particular style.
Didn't it take HTC a long time to get the camera top notch? Apple was tops for a long time then Sammy and Google changed that. Anyone think about how difficult it is to get a good low light photo from the tiny camera module in a phone? Dslr's do poorly without a descent lens.
