I have always cared about graphics, but for me growing up, like many people I'm sure, even if something wasn't necessarily the latest thing on the market, but was just new to my eyes, it was already super exciting and I had to show someone. Nowadays it seems there is always new software and hardware around the corner, but fun and sharing with friends is still the best part.
Hello Friends, For me, the most important thing in video games, choices offered to us. Good or bad, players must be able to decide as they wish without any censorship. Star Wars Knight of this old republic is a great example, one can choose to become Jedi or Sith. There is an end for good/bad guys. We live our own adventure as we want. Very good customization, male/female, perk, diplomacie, companions and romance. After that Bioware then created Mass Effect trilogy. But now games are for the most part simply ultra-realistic interactive movies with one sole choice "violence". (Last of us 2, Horizon ...).
Good graphics enhance a story.. but the visuals are important to describe something one will typically not be able to easily visualize..
Have nice Gpu is nice for a lot of reasons, obviously, but doesn't mean for a good look. Even though I had 3080 Ti my most favorite game of all times still 8Bit games from Storyline - gameplay - sound game, they are just my JAM. hands down
