I am a lawyer and type all the time. By all the time, I mean more than 12 hours a day. My keyboard is vitally important to me. And I want to love my Black Widow V3 Pro. The switches are damn near perfect. However, it is a freaking light show, and I can't turn it off. I had it set but had to run synapse every time I started my computer. In a logical world, I could save that setting to the device, but it seems I can't. With the last update, nothing I do stops the cycle of colors. Is there a way to set a single static color and save that setting to the device? Or is Razer beholden to a buinch of kids mesmerized by blinking lights?
Hi there, on my PC the explorer.exe crashes when my Huntsman TE will be disconnected and reconnected. I have to reconnect them regularly because I need to switch keyboard and mouse between my private and my work PC. When the Synapse Software hasn't loaded the explorer.exe doesn't crash. So I assume Synapse could be the problem.
Hello everyone, I just received a Huntsman V2 analog and was thrilled with the product until I noticed a certain issue. During a gaming session, I noticed the Q key was not always pressing when I wanted it to. I've tried every other key on the keyboard and everything else works except this pesky Q key. It was a struggle to just type the necessary Qs for this post. I checked in synapse and the software is detecting a significantly lower actuation for just the Q key. I've attached screenshots below that demonstrate this. Synapse also displays the reactive RGB regardless of whether or not it actually detects the Q input. So I'm thinking it's an issue that stems from a faulty switch and not synapse or the keycaps themselves. Part of me is saying that it's not a huge deal, Q isn't the most used letter in the alphabet. But the gamer side of me who sees the Q key as an important control for shooters knows that fixing this key is important. Can anyone help me get started in fixing this issue?
First of all, I'm not very brand loyal. I buy the best product in its category, and after the disaster of black widow, Huntsman is a great new alternative with very good out of the box mainstream optical switches. When I was looking for a new keyboard, Leopold and a bunch of other brands popped up as a much better alternative to the Huntsman, however the prices are pretty much identical to the Huntsman, as many of them are either tkl or lacked media keys, etc etc. The switches they all speed test use are either cherry or Khail switches, which to me feel worse than the bloody opto mechanical keys, and all have similar build with some not having an aluminum backplate. Mind you many of these keyboards are objectively uglier and have a much more outdated design. So what's with the hate? I'm tired of everyone saying Huntsman is garbage because their custom lubed holy pandas sound better, but I'm not wasting my life lubing my switches or $800 on a custom keyboard just to type omegalul in
Recently, I just acquired a new Razer Huntsman Mini and love the new revised optical linear switches. Compared to traditional mechanical linear switches, I really enjoy the easier/quicker actuation with that improved dampening. It is well improved and really felt like Razer was listening to the critiques of the previous optical linear switch faults. After a firmware update, everything was playing nice with Windows. Initially there was an issue with Windows Explorer crashing on startup with the Mini was plugged in. It was also crashed on every instance the Mini was plugged it after startup as well. More information on that issue resolution can be found here: /huntsman-mini-broke-my-windows.65606/page-12#post-734349 Now, I'm left with another conundrum software-wise. Typically, I would remap my Caps Lock to be an additional function key (Hypershift key in this case) and remap Fn+WASD for arrows and the surrounding keys for additional navigation, such as Home, End, Page Up/Down. However
i've tried to search the razer store etc - to no luck - anyone have any ideas?...
I was looking in the keyboard store and I could find the Razer BlackWidow Elite with Razer orange Switches. Don't they make the product anymore? Or is it just out of stock?
Hello, I am yet another person with the key spamming problem with the Huntsman V2. Can they just get on with the Firmware Update. If they’ve had the problem with their previous keyboards then they should bring out a firmware update for this one (maybe even on a piece of paper that comes with the keyboard like other companies do). Also I have tried working with Razer Support, but they just give you crap advice that doesn’t even work then if you’re gone for literally just a day they say to you about that then leave you. Wtf Razer!
Hello, I just got my turret wireless keyboard/mouse. I like it so far, but the lights on the keyboard are not working. I think the issue may be due to it being a refurbished item. I did everything that is common to fix the issue from uninstalling and installing all drivers, to messing with settings in synapse but I am not getting any lights at all. The cap button does not light up at all. i am pretty handy with electronics, and I am wondering if there is a common mechanical problem like a wire coming loose from the solder? If not, then I am wondering if razer would replace this item {even though i bought it from Amazon.} sucks... :( Thank you in advance
Hi, i bought this keyboard 2 months ago. Today i was watching some videos and casually i saw the keyboard with lights off. I try to click keys but it wasn't working. I try to unplug and plug in but there is no power.... Someone can help me?
it started mildly then it got worse first its only the m key that is spamming random letters then secon day it affected the surrounding keys but when i try to disconnect and reconnect the usb cable from the pc and when i connect it sometimes it will function the way it used to be but when you re adjust the position of the keyboard it starts to act weird again suspecting of faulty wires what can i do to solve my problem? please reply i need help badly i will take your advices very seriously
Hey everyone, I recently changed the function of my F2 and F3 keys to volume up and down, so now there is no need to hold down the fn key for that to be activated. However I still want to be able to assign something else to the keys for when the fn key IS held down. For instance, before this I could rename a file by just pressing down F2, and if I wanted to lower the volume I'd have to press fn with it. Now when I press F2 the volume goes down, but when I press fn simultaneously it still just lowers the volume, so I basically lost the second function of that key, which was renaming files. Is there anyway to assign something to the combination of fn + F2? The keyboard is an Ornata Chroma, and I'm using Synapse 3.
Hi! So I've had my Blackwidow Chroma V2 TE for almost 2 years now. Since last month, random keys would get pressed when I'm typing. For example, if I were to type "abc" in my browser, it would come out as "ab[=8/?lc". The "[=8/?l" part just bursts out in an instant. It would also activate scroll lock and press F11 at the same time, making my browser go full screen. The weird thing is if I were to type "abc" again, it wouldn't be the same and the "[=8/?l" part would be different every time. It also gets annoying when I'm playing games, as it would start hot-keying to different weapons/opening my inventory/tabbing out of the game. Sometimes I'm able to type paragraphs without this happening, and at other times it would occur every 2 seconds. https://omegle.onl/ I've checked my macros, uninstalled synapse, cleansed my registry but nothing fixed it. I was wondering if this is quite a common issue and if this has happened to any of you. Maybe it's time for me to pick up a new keyboard? v
Hi all, I am one of many having issues with keys spamming, I've done a complete clean re-install of Synapse and this made no difference. I've air blasted the keys also and still it happens every few days. However the keyboard is the first I've had where it has a USB 3.0 and a USB C connector. The USB C has an adapter so it can be plugged into a USB 3.0 port. Should this make any difference if I use the USB C connector natively or should I use the adapter so it is USB 3.0? I have a ticket open for this also with support and they want to replace the keyboard... Thanks
Hello, I just got my new Blackwidow and I would like to know if I can configure the Volume Wheel to control de volume on Voicemeeter, as right now the volume up and down that the keyboard changes has no effect on the audio I hear, since it all goes through Voicemeeter. Just to clarify, if the audio doesn't go through Voicemeeter then the volume wheel works just fine, but if I'm using Voicemeeter to send all the audio through it, the Blackwidow wheel doesn't do anything at all. In contrast, I'm using a Redragon headset and the volume control does affect the volume even if it's going through Voicemeeter. I hope this is a fixable thing!
Hi... not sure if Razer has the right keyboard for me... Looking to replace my existing Logitech G19s as the space bar has started malfunctioning after like 5 years of use. The thing is, I'm not sure if there are any more keyboards as big and spaced out as the G19s. It is a full size keyboard and the inter-key spacing is larger as well. So, I'm looking for a keyboard that has the key/button size of the Orbweaver gaming keypad but with an inter-key spacing of approximately 2mm. Prefer it to be mechanical keys that feel like them good old typewriters. Anyone any suggestions..?? Thanks.
Hi all, New to the forums and thought I'd say hi :) Anyway, just got my hands on a Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini. And was looking around for the software so I can adjust the keyboard to my liking. Not being able to find the exact model for the sotware. Anyone able to direct me with a link ? :)
I was curious if it was possible to change the RAZER™ GREEN MECHANICAL SWITCHES/RAZER™ YELLOW MECHANICAL SWITCHES to Razer Analog Optical Switches?
eyyo wassup Is there any option to buy only some chosen Razer Huntsman Key Caps? not a hole set! greeting
Spacebar key has one of its clips broken so I bought the PBT Keycap Upgrade Set but it doesn't work my Chroma Cynosa keyboard. Is there another way to obtain a space key?
for the first 2 days it was fine then on 10th July evening it started having problems with connection and chroma settings. The keyboard would connect and disconnect within seconds 4 ever and if I reinstalled the synapse for a while it seems fine then I go to the chroma studio to change the RGB settings it won't work on my keyboard. My mouse is fine sometimes it does also have connection issues with synapse but not as severe as my keyboard. so now I'm using my razer device without synapse. Does anyone have the same issue? or is it just me?:frown_:
I have a Tartarus Pro. The wheel scroll will not work if you bind to common keys (a-Z 1-0 etc) The games will not response. (Actually, this problem occur on all programmable wheel scroll) Recently, I figure it out. you have to bind to MOUSE BUTTON For example, bind to "mouse button 4" then your game will response normally. (at the same time, your mouse button 4 map to common keys)
I am one of the lucky few who has both the Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro and the Razer Huntsman V2 Analogue and the reason why is each one has its pros and cons as below:- N.B. please change the term "wrist wrest" to "palm wrest" which is it commonly known as. As a touch typer your palm should be resting, not your wrist as this creates and angle which may cause RSI issues (Repetitive Strain Injury). Huntsman V2 Analogue - Pro's 1. Optical switches (not mechanical). 2. Magnetic palm rest with Razer RGB lighting. 3. Hard wired connection with USB 3.0 hub. 4. Solid construction - aluminium top shell (virtually no flex) 5. Razer RGB around keyboard and underneath. Huntsman V2 Analogue - Con's 1. Not wireless and no Bluetooth. 2. No Razer logo on base of keyboard under space bar due to the connector / flat front for the magnetic palm rest. 3. Expensive - cost AU$337 from Amazon Australia. 4. Drains 1000 mA of power. 5. The media key symbols / logos do not light up. The lighting onl
I have a Razer Ornata V2 Keyboard and I bought myself a brand new Gaming System, with lets just say very good and recently released parts. I have two other systems (much older) and the Synapse software has been a nightmare, slow to load, sometimes wont load when it does, a key press can result in a 5 minute wait to get the the next key press across multiple system now. So, I thought, FINALLY !!!! brand new system, high spec parts, new install of windows, I can finally enjoy the keyboard for what it is...................... not so. Software can take 5 minutes to load up, can sometimes not even load the usual story for me. And the worst part, it can make my high end CPU shoot up to 97 degree's and when I look at the processes 3 Razer software processes are sitting at the top 3 for being in use. Kill those processes and my CPU drops down to 45% (This software left unchecked is a CPU system killer) !!!!! Be warned. Cut this story short as the title suggests, as I have not found an cle
Why on Gods green earth would I give up system resources to a KEYBOARD LIGHTS 'app'?!? I am hoping that you have contrived a way, or had the good sense to offer customers a non-invasive method of using the hardware they purchased? Why do I even want you on my rig, at all, ever?!? I cannot think of ANY good reason you need to have ACTIVELY RUNNING software on MY PC, in order for me to control the lights? Wut? And who needs 2-factor security for a FNG keyboard sales company? What is your business again? You have a WAY overblown sense of worth and value to think you necessitate such measures. It is utterly laughable. As is this policy. I just spent 150 bucks on a stupid 'smart'-'lit' keyboard that I cannot use. Without your permission, and assistance, and snooping.... get over yourselves...
