I got a new Razer Blade 17 Pro from RMA, and previously even downgrading NVIDIA driver wasn't working for me.

Here's the list of pre-installed Software and their versions, hopefully it helps someone.

The Windows version is 2004, OS Build 19041.208

Razer Blade Pro 17 4k late '19 BIOS 1.04 NVIDIA driver 457.30 Win 20H2

Windows version 20H2 doesn't change anything regarding black screen after hibernation.

Disappointing to say the least.

Razer.. where are you in this? I thought you were vying for the "best tech support" crown. No?
Hello everyone.
Do you know if with these new Nvidia drivers, 466.47 already fixed our black screen problem?
The truth is that I no longer want to change to a GPU dedicade, since it is very frustrating to see the black screen again and see that we still do not solve this big problem and as a result we do not enjoy our Razer Blade Pro 2020 4k 120 hz and others. thx
@Razer.SpeedCr0ss Any updates? Its been way too long without a single update of what the actual cause it and what is being done. Wish I was still in the return window. Never have I had such issues with any other laptop or company. Never again
Has anyone news?
It doesnt, Razer needs to fix this with a BIOS update or some other kind of software patch.

Support updated my case initially asking me to reset/format my laptop. When queried as to whether that would do anything at all, they relented and said we still just have to wait for whatever update it is that will fix this (no word on whether it's Razer, Nvidia or MS) and to be patient.. but still no real update on what the issue is.

It would be nice to know a bit more about this. It would help set expectations as to why this is taking so long to fix.

and yeah.. wish that return window was still open. As much as I like the laptop, this is really inexcusable.

Yeah nuking the system and installing fresh windows does not fix it. I tried last week and it was a waste of time. Been an issue since June and not a single response saying what the issue is. If it's Microsoft then tell us! Silence is never the right solution. Don't know of another gaming laptop that has this issue.

Considering they've stopped replying to this post, I'm not holding my breath for a fix.
I've also noticed on the main Razer store page, that the 17 Pro is listed as the 2080 Max-Q Super Studio.. and some members stating they're using the studio drivers with some success..

Has there been a SKU change to the studio model of the card?

I was able to confirm that the issue is still happening on RTX 2080 NVIDIA driver version 466.11 when I assisted a user with Blade Pro 17 2019 yesterday. I am still working on his case and will coordinate with our devs as soon as I have the outcome of our isolation tests.

That is a very good point. Although it might also mean that they have given up in selling this laptop as a gaming laptop and in turn it might mean that we will never get a solution for our troubles.

Try version 456.71, you can use the laptop in dedicated GPU mode but just watch out that the screen doesn't turn off or the laptop goes to sleep. Then it works fine.

Still waiting for a fix from Razer so we can use the latest driver version.

Is there some other route we can take? Is there a forum like this one on NVIDIA's or Microsoft's forum for support? Should we all get together and fire up a class action lawsuit? I'm about ready to sell this laptop at a HUGE loss and buy something from another manufacturer that works, and never return to Razer ever again as well as sway anyone and everyone I know away from their products. I'm pretty sure this is all a cry from the community for help. This is absurd.

I think those are our two options at this point really, I've tweeted at their ceo several times, and I get a customer service rep contacting me and it's always the same oh you can roll back the driver BS, it's ridiculous, it's been almost a year now since this issue started. And they are just radio silent. I'm also strongly recommending anyone and everyone I know to stay away from their laptops. Damn shame.

Supports been going in circles for me. Multiple people reply not knowing what the other said. One asked me to provide all of my details, and I did, and later on another person asked me to fill out all of the same information again. I told them I already did and it's literally attached to this email I'm replying to. That guy just replied and told me to check my junk mail folder. What? I'm dealing with robots with pre-canned replies.

I've been there too man, it's moved on from frustrating to outright ridiculous.. I like your suggestion of a class action suit though. Did you hear about the guy suing dell over the area 51 laptop not being upgradeable.. .he sued over breach of warranty
Hi together, today I have installed the latest Nvidia Studio drivers 457.30. I did this as a fresh install. It seems to work. I put the laptop in energy saving mode and woke it up again. No black screen anymore.
I will conduct further tests and report back.
Any news on this Razer?

And this is in the GPU 120hz mode I imagine?
I gave up a while ago and just use it with a monitor.
My bet is that the reason why Razer hasn't fixed this issue yet is because they can't.
I believe we are stuck with 4000$ laptops that will never work propperly.

Hey everyone! Apologies for the delay. I was able to get a confirmation that there's an available NVIDIA Driver 457.30 via GeForce Experience, which is to fix the black screen after wake up from sleep/screen off with NVidia graphics version 456.55 for Razer Blade Pro 17" (2019) | RZ09-0314x and Razer Blade Pro 17" (2020) | RZ09-0329x. Please let me know if it helps.

The combination of the latest Windows Updates and today's NVIDIA driver up date (GeForce 466.77) has finally fixed this for my 4K120Hz / 2080 Razer Blade Pro 17” (2019) | RZ09-0314x. It not only can boot with an external monitor enabled and still have the 4k120Hz display working, it can also sleep and resume from sleep correctly.

I will try

These are Studio Drivers. Not Game Ready Drivers, should we expect a difference in performance?
Also, as noted by another user, these laptops weren't advertised in the Studio series until recently, meaning these changes were made after purchase.
What will Razer do for all of us who bought these laptops under the gaming category?
Thanks!
Razer Blade Pro 17" (late 2019) | RZ09-0314x doesn't work after hibernation with 457.30 installed via GeForce Experience
Hi. My razer blade pro 17 2020 model seems to work with 457.30 studio drivers. I tested energy save mode, turned off screen in energy save settings, reboot etc.. no more black screen. Always dedicated gpu with 120 hz. I want to emphasize that I made a fresh install. This means no gerforce experience. I downloaded the drivers directly and checked the “fresh install” box during installation. Hope that helps
Razer Blade Pro 17 4K (late '19) - BIOS 1.04 - NVIDIA game ready driver 457.51

After closing cover and reopening, the screen stays black like all other versions after 452.06 and hibernation of the screen. Reverting back to 452.06 again. Hibernation problem still needs a solution.
Not for my.

Didn't work. When will I get an actual fix for a $4,000 gaming laptop? This has been going on for what 6 months now?
