Same here and when I asked support they asked for my product ID, proof of purchase and date of purchase.... all those things are linked to me email for one. Two, it's a software issue! Fix this issue as im sure I'm not the only one complaining since your update but yes ask if I updated windows like that's the issue but get proof I purchased razer gear before you help me.

on twitter there are a lot of people complaning. on @razersupport

Will head there and check progress thanks. Figured there must be more of us then this thread lets on.

Can confirm the update broke snyapse. I tried everything i could find. Clean installs of snyapse, unplugging my peripherals etc. Didn’t work. I did a system restore to February 26th right before this update and snyapse actually booted up for about 5 seconds and then it updated itself and broke again 😂

I've reached out to razer support on Twitter, and they emailed me numerous ways to try and fix the problem. But even after I've tried most of the solutions it still doesn't work.

 

Synapse 3 crashes on start, no gui shown, its services seems to be running, but no gfx shell.

I have tried all advises from Razer’s support page, link below, but nothing helps:

Complete uninstall with removing all traces of Razer’s software, reboot, fresh install leads to the same result.

Obviously, until Razer’s fix for Synapse 3 software, it won’t work with any life-hacks or tuning of Windows.

The new update  of synapse (24th of April) brokes the THX Spatial Audio and the Surround Sound Modes for the Barracuda Pro

Luckily, ANC and the default Equalizer is working…..

I just booted my pc up again right now and the first thing that popped up was that thing where it asks if I want to let razer synapse make changes. I clicked yes and still nothing happened…

Yeah it’s awesome buying a razer audio mixer that relies on synapse working so I can hear audio from both pc’s.  Guess it’s time i go outside more or I just rid myself of all razor products entirely.  Fix now.  your synapse software is trash

Can confirm after uninstall and deep Regedit Clean and re install still the same issues as of 3:05 pm EST 3-3-23

I came home from work and decided to check again….. still nothing….

It started today out of nowhere, it just does not open properly and is not in the system tray despite the task manager saying that the process is “running”

Still not working here, did the modify from an older version, did a complete clean reinstall with the newest version. No matter which way I try to update (even just the automated update when I didn’t catch it before it started running that) it goes into the loop of booting over and over again.

I am experiencing some problems with Razer Synapse since the latest update I installed today. See bullet points below:

  • Razer splash screen is showing as expected when I start my PC
  • When I mouseover the green Synapse logo in the taskbar, the logo disappears (seems that the app is crashing upon mouseover)
  • Razer Synapse 3, Razer Synapse Service, and Razer Synapse Servoce Process are all showing up as running in task manager even after mouseover in previous point
  • When I attempt to launch Synapse manually, the taskbar icon re-appears, only to disappear again upon mouseover. RInse and repeat.
  • My mouse macros ARE working, even after taskbar mouseover
  • My keyboard macros ARE NOT working, both before and after taskbar mouseover

Me too, another curiosity that I noticed is that if I go to the Task Manager and close Razer Central, it gives an error message saying that some piece of memory is not being read. The only way to stop Razer trying to load over and over is to close a bunch of processes in the Task Manager. I really hope Razer fixes this.

This progress I’ve so far:

  1. Uninstalled Razer Synapse 3 completely and deleted all its folders in “\Program Files (x86)\Razer\” and in “..\Users\<User>\Application Data\Razer\” and then rebooted.
     
  2. With “Run as Administrator” I have installed the following version of “Synapse 3” + “Macros” only,
    no any other modules like Chroma, just turned check-boxes off for them all during install.

  3. After login to my Razer account I can access Synapse Central icon in system tray and it doesn’t crash now, so I can configure my devices and settings and macros.
     

  4. What is left to try: install latest version with RazerSynapseInstaller_V1.12.0.385.exe with Administrative privileges (“Run as Administrator”) and without any Chroma modules. We’ll see.

    I hope someone will find it useful, though.

Oh my god, I have been trying to fix this for the past 7 hours without luck. THANK YOU for posting this so I could see it was an issue with an update. 

 

I got the new Deathadder V3 Faker edition today, plugged it in and Synapse did the little update thing, then ever since I restarted I’ve been having the same issue. I have re-installed windows 2x both once with synapse installed and once without (Keep apps and data re-install), and have removed every single trace of Razer from the registry and everything.

In all my hours looking now, the only thing I can see, is that the Razer Central.exe, not the service but the exe itself closes instantly after the splash screen. I tried installing Cortex in a desperate attempt to get Razer Central running, but it produces the same bug. I think they F’D the Razer Central somehow.

Same, same, same! Razer Central and Synapse close immediately. The update is really broken. Even a clean reinstall does not help. Without working software, the mouse is hardly usable properly. I hope this gets fixed quickly.

Cannot even open synapse 3 to check for updates etc. Cannot open it at ALL. If you launch as admin, and follow the steps the razer HOW TO video provides. Razer just disappears from the tray when you mouse over the icon. This is ridiculous lol.

If something Razer should be proud of, is the neglect for quality or faster updates, we just come from an  unresolved WMI Provider Host issue, and now this … 

TBH I’m looking for a third party solution to get rid of any razer software and avoid future Razer products

when was the update? this just started happening to me, I think, since Friday, but I could be wrong.

Edit: actually I don’t know when this happened. I remember something being wrong just this morning, I’m just not good with time I guess. But yes I would love to know when the update occurred. It would help me know if it was that or not.

the installer does not matter. it only leads to the actual version of synapse (now  20230303). but as already mentioned, still not working...

yeah and it seems no one cares so many people messaged customer support we need a fix  

Agreed, my microphone on my blackshark is not working and it’s not letting me access my microphone settings in synapse, they are in fact all greyed out the microphone works if you were wondering, I use it on playstation and works perfectly, synapse has always given me problems, and right now it’s literally not letting me use my product
