Look see!!!! It pops up every now and then, but it still shuts down on me. This started happening a couple of hours ago. When it pops up it still has my profiles and settings. and my devices have the lighting that I set up for them.  but when it closes they go back to the color changing mode…..

4 days now… FOUR DAYS RAZER

Just downloaded the new version that people are talking about here, still the same issue. No fix yet.

Edit: Modified Synapse from Apps & Features from Window Search bar, The central service updated, and now it’s working!

Same problem here!

Tried doing a clean install with an earlier version of synapse. It’s working so far, but for some reason my Basilisk and Barracuda isn’t appearing in my list of devices. Though they’re still functional. Seems like a good temporary fix while Razer hopefully sorts this out.

After installation and launching, you’ll need to disable the automatic update by right-clicking the synapse icon and go into Settings.

Dude I can not begin to thank you. I’ve gone through every fix possible. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled over 20 times probably in the last 3 days. I finally have all my DPI settings with my Deathadder Elite available again. Not to mention everything else.

Seriously… Thank you so much.

Worked for me too. After I installed old version, it stopped crashing. I updated after to the latest version and it’s fine now.

This older version works just fine. As soon as I update it crashes again. So until they fix new one I am using this older one.

Hello! I’m new to this community. So, I wanted to help in some way. This issue had me on nerve for the past 4 days. I did a 2-steps solution so far and hope I can help in some way or another. (Note that this might not work for everyone). A little backstory before we dive in: This worked for me when I bought my new Cynosa V2. I have a friend who luckily didn’t update their Synapse recently (avoiding the cesspool of a mess we have rn) and I asked for a copy of their Razer folders to test things out. I transferred said files to their locations and viola! It worked. However, it was a buggy mess than what I had before. I just dealt with it since it’s better than nothing for the past 2 days. Then, my new Cynosa V2 keyboard arrived and I love it! (don’t judge me, I like how the membrane feels). I plugged it in and hope it’ll work. It did work. However, Synapse isn’t detecting it. Then, I opened Razer Central to see Synapse just automatically updating itself??! After that, it installed itself normally. For some reason, my Razer Synapse is up-to-date and IT IS WORKING?! So yeah, idk what happened but it seems it fixed itself with my Cynosa V2’s driver installing itself and forcing Synapse to update to the latest version. Thank you for listening to my little adventure.

1st solution I did was copy a friend’s copy of Synapse’s folders: mainly in Program Files (x86), go to Razer > copy Razer Services & Synapse3 folders (their version is before the latest update). Then, transfer those folders to their corresponding file location on your side. Be sure to turn off everything that’s related to Razer in your task manager before you start the file transfer. Congrats! You have Synapse working again. A bit of warning to avoid this problem in the future once you finish these steps, make sure to turn off auto-update in your settings. Just left click the icon tray in your taskbar and you’ll see the settings option.

2nd solution is quite a wild card, though. Not sure if it’ll work for everyone, but here: First, do a complete uninstall of all your drivers related to Razer. Then, uninstall Synapse. After that, open CMD in admin mode and do sfc /scannow. Be sure to remove all folders related to Razer too. If you don’t know how, refer to a comment from Vermillion Kingpin in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDFzcljkOsg . After that, restart your PC in advance startup mode. Once in the advance startup menu, open CMD again and do another sfc /scannow. The reason why you need to do this twice because sometimes it doesn’t detect corrupted/missing files/registry when you’re using your PC. If it detects problems with your PC and it needs to restart, continue to Windows and it’ll automatically do its thing. After that, this is the important step: DO NOT INSTALL RAZER SYNAPSE 3 INSTALLER from their website. Here’s how you do it. Download an old installer and install Synapse from there. After that, it should be working again. For some reason, Razer Services just stops working/connecting to their servers when you try to update Synapse, causing an endless loop, of Synapse starting up and failing and starting, it seems.

Hope I can help, have a good one!

It works !

It’s nice to see a fix posted, but honestly I don’t think the standard user should have to jump through these kinds of hoops just to get a program running again (one that was working perfectly fine before an update). Personally I used RevoUninstaller and deleted all my Razer files from my PC. I’ll wait until they release a fix and then I’ll reinstall the program.

Your lucky it’s even opening.  Mine still just crashes during the splash screen everytime.  I can’t even log in after a fresh reinstall. The app just won’t open

I mean it still crashes. and I realized even though it opens I can’t click on anything...

After releasing the new update synapse works. But I have another problem because it doesn't find my devices. Anybody had the same problem?

It works now, just downloaded and it loaded fine, funny how it always has issue during the gold rewards campaign… maybe just to NA?

I had to disable synapse from starting, which at least with that and the “repair installation” thru the uninstall option at least disabled the splash screen from constantly popping up and then trying to open 30 million apps making my pc sluggish due to the overload. It would be nice to hear an official word on it, though I do believe I saw another thread in the synapse forms about a fix was incoming. But for now, I’ve just been keeping an eye out. I do agree that if you can email support, to do so. I miss my pretty flashing lights on my cynosa keyboard and my basilisk mouse QQ

Hey do you have a link to that form?

Can confirm the update broke snyapse. I tried everything i could find. Clean installs of snyapse, unplugging my peripherals etc. Didn’t work. I did a system restore to February 26th right before this update and snyapse actually booted up for about 5 seconds and then it updated itself and broke again 😂

Same, I was hoping an older version would help but it updated. Maybe if I switch to airplane mode and cancel auto update on synapse?

same

It seems like the issue was not completely resolved. I have an issue which could correspond to yours.
For me, I have a very weird behavior too on my Razer Blade 14. Every time the system is booting after a complete shutdown, Synapse starts just fine but the lighting of my devices is completely broken or not working at all. Especially the Blade’s very own keyboard is affected in almost all cases. Synapse is running ‘fine’, I can launch it, I see all devices there, I can even change the settings for each device - but as you can guess, it is not working on the device itself. The keys don’t light up, profiles not loaded, etc.
I was already through some rounds with razer support via email but I’m sorry to say that the final suggested fix of resetting my blade to factory default will not do it for me :)

After testing every service manually and cleaning out drivers and so on, I made an interesting discovery: Synapse only fails to launch correctly after a boot from shutdown state. When the Blade is already running and I RESTART it, Synapse works like a charm, lighting and profiles are there, everything is fine.
I mean, I am not tempering with boot sequences, service startups and stuff which could cause driver issues, plus, it is on Razer’s own device for which Razer nor Microsoft, AMD and so on do not supply generic driers, so I can absolutely narrow it down to a issue in Synapse.

I’m currently on Synapse3 version 3.8.228.22313

@Kalika07  An idea for a fix for your problem
On the way here, I came across another issue, you might want to try. For me it helped temporarily to disable Windows’ Core Isolation to give access to the drivers. But it will, of course not do the trick by just opening it up. First, Synapse needs to be uninstalled yada-yada-yada…. then, it needs to be opened, Synapse needs to be installed, and then it might work. Afterwards I, at least, had full device recognition for my Viper mouse, Blackshark USB audio card and Keyboard again.

Sorry, i found a solution, i posted it :

i did it : uninstall synapse 3, use Device Detection Troubleshoot Tool 1.0.0.8 from razer, reboot and install an older synapse 3 (from another post with this links https://www.filehorse.com/download-razer-synapse/50060/download/) and it works for me

the thing is. I can’t uninstall Razer. I have followed the steps and nothing happens. it freezes when I click uninstall. There is literally no way of removing anything Razer related from my PC.
