Synapse not reconizing devices

So I have a Naga Trinity and a Black Widow chroma v2 and my synapse just recently stopped detecting them. They still work the lights cycle but they are on different timings and there is no why to sync them with each other in synapse. If anyone has any idea how to fix this it would be great! Thanks in advance.

Try to remove razer devices from device menager menager in windows to force driver reinstall. When you remove device from device menager unplug device then reboot pc and plug back.

Thank you this fixed my problem, im on windows 10

had the same issue, turned out to be synapse hating anything plugged into a usb hub. Maybe that's an issue

A bit late to the party here...I just bought a Razer Tartarus today and Synapse listed it as being disconnected. So I did exactly the same thing; disconnected it from my USB HUB and connected it to it's own USB 2.0 port. It was immediately recognized as being connected by Synapse and can now be customized flawlessly. Win7 64 also recognized it properly after reconnecting too, because while it was showing up as a working device under Devices & Printers initially, it wasn't being recognized as a game controller.

Something I've learned in the past year, is that there's a problem with the some of the early gen Etron USB chipsets with supporting USB 2.0 devices connected via a USB 3.0 HUB. Razer devices aren't alone with that - a lot of TrackIR users have reported not being able to connect that device to such a HUB configuration either. I know if I try connecting my Logitech mouse or keyboard to my HUB, my PC has fits.

i just spent all day and i got TartarusV2 to work, finally.

i run win7 64.
i had exact same issue. Razer Control Device Driver failed install. you have to be looking at hidden devices in device manager to even see that this didnt install correctly.

first go to windows update and make sure you have any with Razor in the heading. I didnt have this one.
-Razer Inc - HIDClass - 1/1/2017 12:00:00 AM - 6.2.9200.16448-

this one got things to show up in my device manager.

second go to windows update again and get this specific update.

The windows error (code 52) is what lead me to this. its some bullshit about SHA1 and SHA2 certificate crap for windows whlq certified driver crap. win7 wont take sha2 or a mix of the two or something like that.

hope this helps.

THANK YOU!!! It WORKS! Win7, Trinity and Tartarus V2
Happened to me..
i was contacted by support and told to check PC for updates.
check additional updates and you might find a razer driver update or something.
worked for me anyway

Thats not helping, im start to think it is related to windows 7, but im not sure.

he say external usb extension device 😜 In this case try to remove everything uninstall all razer softwere then delete razer folders in the appdata and programfiles next go to windows device menager and remove your devices after removing unplug them from usb when you finish reboot pc. When windows boot go to razer website download new installler and install it. This give you clean softwere install without saving files you have previous.

i give up, im not doing any razer bs again, i already tried doing that without taking them out but no way that would really help because it would just use placeholder drivers until you restarted

What do you mean a USB hub? I have moved the cables to the front of my computer to no avail, i just pretty much uninstalled everything for good, I'm so sick of everything Razer constantly breaking after every update.

Same issue happened after the last synapse update. I spent 2 hours talking with tech support to no success. I ended up tinkering with it and fixed my issue. Super easy fix guys go into your install/uninstall setting. Delete razer synapse both 3.0 and 2.0 if you have both installed. Then scroll down and there should be something called a razer driver package. Uninstall that as well. Then restart your pc and download the latest razer synapse version. My razer synapse began to sync once again and finally recognized my mouse which was the 1/3 of my razer devices that didnt work. Good luck guys and gals,I hope this works!!

I tried that, but there was no driver package.

I did, it works on my laptop, but not on my desktop

It never will install the "Control Device" driver, it always installs the keyboard/mouse drivers but that driver never works, I have absolutely no idea why. Should i try and delete my temp under appdata?
BlackFireDragon
Can you connect your devices to diffrent pc and check if the issue is also there ?

Anyone found solution for this? I can not get any of my devices to work on any Windows 7 PC that i have. Every time its ends like on that screenshot that I and that other person post before. For me its looks like drivers do not installed properly and nothing can be done about it. Even on clean windows 7 installation is the same.

Before update i had a lot of problems with that software but at least i could change colours, now i can not change anything and my computer slowdown at start for 2 minutes.

For now i unistalled all Razer software, thats the only way my pc running fast like always, im waiting until there will be some software update.

i7-4790, 16GB RAM, GTX 1080, 240GB SSD.

i didn’t find out how to get back all my devices into synapse 2 but now at least i got back synapse 3

I tried to uninstall it with CCleaner, than i chose the top button in uninstallation manager, something like “fix all problems”
and now it works after few loadings 😉

i hope all your devices are working now and all i can say i won’t download any new razed drivers (fck it)

I'm sure that this will work :

Do all steps bellow without conect the razer device.

1 - download this file: cdn.razersynapse.com/1533035498f3QE4AcsRazerCynosaV2Setup_v3.3.0802.073117.exe,
2 - unistall razer synapse, clean all razer files remain,
3- very important step : download synapse3 installer, run it >>>but first install razer cortex only<<<, don't install synapses yet.
4- execute file downloaded before,
5- re-run synapses installer, install synapses,
6- Once synapses instaled and runing, connect the razer device. thats all.

For sure this will solve all problems of razer devices detecet

Anyone tried these steps already?

My laptop also recognizes it as a Razer Naga in devices but razer synapse 2.0 does not recognize the device at all.

If you want to use synapse 2 with naga trinity it will not work becose synapse 2 dont support this mouse at all. All new devices with few exepction on headset support synapse 3 only.
I am trying to play using my Razer Naga Trinity on my laptop. I use the mouse daily on my desktop and it works perfectly so I know it is not broken hardware. My laptop also recognizes it as a Razer Naga in devices but razer synapse 2.0 does not recognize the device at all.
I have tried reinstalling and updating the driver.
I have tried plugging it in in the 3 different USB ports that I have.
I have tried uninstalling and removing all files related to the driver (including the font files, folders and the registry entries for them along with other shit which I don't know why your installer doesn't handle).
I have tried making all old devices visible in the device manager and delete all of them before reinstalling the software again.
I have tried deactivating my anti-virus while installing and plugging in the mouse.
I re-downloaded the install file and restarted the computer in between each of these tries.

I am on windows 10. There may be a couple more things that I have tried but the bottom line is that I have done way more than is reasonable to have to do and it is not working. I love your hardware but I wish your software wasn't such a hot steaming mess from the way it looks to leaving files allover the place on uninstall. I hope you have an idea for how to solve this issue that I haven't thought of yet because right now my $100 mouse is basically a Microsoft pointer with fancy colors.
