Synapse won't open

Hi everyone, I recently got a new computer and a Blackwidow Chroma v2, but whenever I want to open synapse to configure lighting, I click the application and nothing happens. The only thing that seems to fix it is an uninstall and reinstall, and the problem returns every time i turn my PC on. The Razer Central application is running, mind you, but when I try to open Synapse therefrom, it doesn't work either. Any experience shared would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My new Logitech mouse comes tomorrow. See you never Razer.
I have the same issue after like 30 reinstalls even Reinstalling stoped working. This Reinstalation just Corrupted My Windows Profile Too many times to Even Bother with Synapse 3 ... and Razer is Doing NOTHING with fixing.
Hi! I sent both of you a PM. Hit me with a reply if you are still having issues.
HEY RAZER WHAT ABOUT FUCK YOU? AND YOUR SYNAPSE 2 SHIT IN QUARANTINE I NEED TO BE LOGGED IN ONLINE TO FUCKING PLAY GAMES? FUCK YOU CUNTS
we write on forum here for weeks same problems and as I see they do nothing.
this is a bit embarrassing.
I had the same problem, and I think I have a solution.

To start, my problem seems to be that when I close Synapse 3.0 and then try to re-open it using Razer Central, it will not open.

To resolve this, I go through the Windows Task Manager and remove any process that has "razer" in the name. After stopping all of these processes Razer Synapse will finally open.

To Razer: It looks like Synapse 3.0 may not be handling child processes correctly. When Synapse 3.0 closes, these child processes are not closing correctly. This is blocking the Synapse 3.0 process from being created, or blocking Synapse 3.0 GUI from displaying when the process is started.

why do you even handle it with PM's !??!?!?!?! post it openly, what kind of support is that?
If there is a solution make it than everyone can see it, because MANY people have that issue and while searching for a solution I found out that this issue has been bothering people FOR MONTHS without any fixes, how incompetent can you be? if it doesn't get fixed right away I will bring my new mouse back to the store and NEVER buy ANY razer product again and I'm a longtime customer spending about 1k€ and also recommending products to others who also bought them, if it's not fixed I will do the opposite and warn them instead

Same Here ... They Didnt have a solution For me ... He Just wanted my Log Files so they can chceck it ... He (and Mostly ME) Don´t want my LogFiles all over internet. Have You tried Uninstall Synapse and Then Download it From Website and run the newest version ? because Updates from app Have always trolled me

Absolutely perfect. Close anything with a Razer Logo, or Razer in the name within Task Manager, reload Cortex/Synapse 3.0 as admin and viola! Thank you!!!

look at them we are forming at riot don't become little india i tell you... Only Singaporeans know about this... NOT RACIST JOKE.
What a garbage product and software, I have the Hunstman Elite and can't adjust any settings on this $200 paper weight and to top it off there is no support from Razer. Does Razer not understand that we live in a social media driven age? Guess it's time for me to hit the usual channels and express my dislike for Razers quality of service and support. I am going to return this keyboard tomorrow after I do a YouTube review so that everyone can see what kind of garbage Razer is trying to sell to its loyal customers. I don't have a large following but if I can do my part and keep 11,000 people from buying this and having their day ruined, I will. Wake up Razer, competition is high in the RGB Mechanical sector, you can't afford to consistently let your customers down and sooner or later, even your most loyal customers will jump ship.

I honestly cannot believe that Synapse 3 is such a load of garbage with so many users not even being able to open it this whole time and still Razer does nothing. I've only just installed it on my new PC and now I can see why all of my friends have been complaining while i was sitting pretty with my old synapse version and everything working perfectly fine for the 4 years I've been using it. Synapse 3 absolutely will not open no matter what I do even though Razer Central runs in the background. The least Razer could do is give some decent tech support considering they're too lazy to fix their own software.

Move on brother, I did and haven’t looked back. They (Razer) does not value us as customers, look how long this post has gone with no support, official word, workaround etc. Post something about a competitor by name and watch how fast your post and account is moderated.
i contacted with technical support and not gave me a solution, no razer no problems easy
i have a Razer Taipan and Synapse wont open too it shows up the razor store to buy new mouse

good bye razer

modern marketing maybe i should give another company a try

Just update and restart your pc guys, it had some trouble starting for me too, but after i restarted the pc it was all fine and updated.
I'll just post what I found to fix it for me:

1. Uninstalled Razer Synapse
2. Deleted Temp files: C:\\Users\\[Your Username]\\AppData\\Local\\Temp (Skip any errors that show up during deletion)
3. Then deleted any Razer folders that I found. These are some examples (If you cannot find the folder in any one or more of these locations, just skip it. These are just suggestions and not all folders will show up on everyone's computer):

  • C:\\Program Files\\Razer

  • C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer

  • C:\\ProgramData\\Razer

  • C:\\Users\\[Your Username]\\AppData\\Local\\Razer

  • C:\\Users\\[Your Username]\\AppData\\Roaming\\Razer

  • C:\\Users\\[Your Username]\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Razer

4. Then reinstalled Razer Synapse

Hope this helps!
Confirmed, it wants the 1903 feature update of win10 to work. I updated and now Synapse runs.

Glad I found this keyboard at a garage sale.

For everyone whose problem relates to software issue, there are so many factors of troubleshooting. It sure can turn out a easy fix or a messy fix; if you are a windows user, try remove all RAZER applications, create a new administrator account and reinstall from it.

Sometimes, purchasing new computer from well known brands like HP or Dell, they always come with pre-install softwares I like to call "patriotic absurd". The softwares they say "will protect your pc" but infact it is for their own brand advertising purposes, which can cause conflict with Synapse. Remove all of them.

As a person who have been working on PCs for years, sometimes the best solution for any software related issues, is to reinstall the OS and start from scratch.

Re-formatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows from scratch is really not a viable solution to what amounts to simple software issues. It's kind of like saying, "If your car's gas mileage is poor, replace your entire engine." There are better ways to troubleshoot driver and software issues than reinstalling windows. I'm not wiping my entire operating system just because of some irksome issues with my mouse and/or keyboard.

You completely forgot the part where it might not be synapse. It might be you having other programs interfering with synapse. SO to your analogy, It would be more like "Oh I have something in the engines intake that I cannot get out. Now I have to replace the motor. And it will actually work"
Just opened up my brand new Razer Blade and boy if this isn't is going straight back to the store tomorrow. Two years of complaints and no fix yet? Wouldn't the customers Razer already lost to this issue have fully paid for the fix and then some? Give me a break. This is how not to stay in business. For the money we pay, we deserve a fully functional laptop out of the box---not the beta version that this thing is.
