Hey guys! I noticed that as a brand new system there wasn't much out there on the newest Razer Blade 17 laptop. Figured I would throw out a very broad thread with a few specs, upgrades, and questions. So, into the knitty gritty. The specs on my system are as listed: Early 2022 Razer Blade 17 with 1080p screen 3080 ti with 8gb GDDR6 VRAM 32gb of ddr5 4800MHz memory 1 TB m.2 SSD 12th gen i7-1200H First thing I did was install a Samsung 980 pro 1TB m.2 SSD into the secondary slot. Access was simple and easy. Once I opened the bottom of the laptop case the additional m.2 slot was spotted on the right hand side (the computer's track pad closest to me) To my surprise there was quite a thick foam pad in the slot, initially I attempted to install the m.2 over the foam pad. That began to bend the m.2 to an uncomfortable curve, so I removed the foam pad. As expected the slot was high build quality and the new component fit perfectly. Letting it go I have too many RBP this one beat the i9 on benchmarks if your interested email me (Omitted) 2k you pay shipping comes in orignal boxes etc not even a year old, never used keyboard or mouse(bluetooth) razer 3m skin on it. CAN BE SEEN HERE

I have a Razer Blade 2018 laptop with a GTX 1070 (RZ09-02386E52-R3U1). My laptop will not use the 1070 GPU no matter what I do and seems intent on only using the integrated graphics with the Intel CPU. I have tried changing the preferred GPU in Nvidia Control Panel. I have also tried setting the 1070 as the default GPU in the Windows 10 display settings. Task manager still reports only GPU 0 (the integrated graphics) being used even while running demanding games which are far out of the integrated graphics' ability to run at a stable frame rate. How can I force my Razer Blade to make use of the 1070 as opposed to integrated graphics?

Hi, I had a question about the Keyboard on the Razer Blade lineup. Before I state my question, I wanted to give some insight. So from what I understand from following Razer on what they have done, in the past when they came out with the Razer Blade Pro, that had an Ultra Low Profile Mechanical Keyboard on it. My question is do the Razer Blade 14, 15 and 17 have mechanical keyboards like that, or are they just laptop standard membrane keyboards? The reason why I bring that up is because by now everybody should know that having a Mechanical Keyboard (or Optical if you want to talk Razer Huntsman, which is also the keyboard I am currently using on my desktop) is pretty much the standard for gaming. Also, I've noticed some of Razers rivals such as Alienware and ASUS ROG coming up with their own solutions to ultra low profile keyboards, such as Alienware teaming up with Cherry MX to make their first mechanical keyboard for laptops (and by they, I mean this is Cherry MX's first shot at it

Hi all, I'm very much hoping my next question (underneath the intro paragraph) can be answered by anyone officially affiliated with Razer, or perhaps anyone with experience. Intro: I'm a prospective RB 17 buyer living in London, I'm specifically after the 2022 3070ti QHD 240hz model with the core i7. I've visited the store front, tried out the blade in person, and loved every aspect of it except for one well-known flaw: All UK layout RBs that are not base models (as base models don't have per-key lighting) have the secondary function symbols on those keys totally unlit. While some would be totally fine with this, I personally find it unacceptable to go from a RB 19 base model (with all the keys lit properly) to dropping approx 3.5k on a new product with an overall inferior experience. It would make it very annoying to use in any low light situation, having to guess or try to memorize which key controls brightness, volume etc. I've seen countless threads here and on reddit created by

I bought an extra m.2 since the 15 supports it. took the laptop apart and there is a cover you take off. when you put in the extra m.2 the cover won't work anymore. so the extra m.2 is just plugged in and hanging there is no way to screw it in because it is right over the factory m.2 and the new m.2 is ends right over it.

Razer laptop freezing issues- My razer laptop was working fine till I updated the drivers then it started to freeze 30 seconds after boot. I have performed sfc /scannow ,I have reinstalled windows multiple times ,but the problem keeps coming back. I don't think it's a thermal issue because I was playing some heavy games on it the day this started. I just can't figure it out. Please help!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else experiences the same. My touchpad works perfectly fine when the blade is not connected to a charge. But with a charger attached (independent of the USB-C port), it stops working that well. For example, when scrolling left and right clicks are triggered. When disconnecting the charger it works fine again. This is happening with the official charger is connected. Thanks, km

Hi, I have owned a Razor Blade 14 with an RTX3070 for several months and really love it. Have been considering upgrading the SSD to something faster for load times in games. Is there a list of compatible SSD drives? Any tried and true recommendations? Does the AMD Blade 14 support the 4th gen m.2? Thanks

Hi all, I am new to this forum! :) I bought a Razer X Chroma one year ago for my razer blade stealth, to plug a AMD RX 5700 XT. I quickly noticed that while starting the egpu, it often made the circuit breaker to instantly trip. I blamed the old electricity installation of my appartment and purchased a UPS to protect the hardware, and testing different sockets minimzed the issue. However, not only did the egpu keep on tripping from time to time, I also noticed that it often sparked significantly around the power button when flipping the switch (which did not necessarily provoke a circuit break). I recently moved to a new appartment with a complete new electricity installation (the whole building has been finished in 2019) and here, the problem is even worse. Has anybody experienced anything similar? I have tried a lot of things (deplug anything else, try different sockets or circuits, even sending back the egpu for a new one at the beggining) but I keep on having the very same iss

So I just purchased the razer book 13 (newest version from razer website) (512gb, i7, touchscreen) and got it a week ago today. I absolutely love it its incredible and the design is flawless in my opinion. However, I am having major issues which is really making it hard for me to keep this laptop. Ideally I would like to stick with the book 13 whether thats fixing these issues or getting a replacement, hopefully someone can help because its driving me crazy... First and most prominent issue is the consistent and non stop BSOD that I keep getting. This has happened so many times I cant even believe it, with about a 75% chance of happening every time I open synapse and adjust chroma studio. It also of course happens when I do anything else it seems, such as using edge, hopping into a casual steam game, office applications, etc... Hi, Razer customer service, I'm doing a fresh install of Windows 10 Home editor for Razer Blade 14" (2021) RZ09-0370. Windows 10 refuses installation reporting a "no new devices drivers were found" error. More research shows that system recovery is possibly needed. However, I've wiped out the entire hard drive so I don't have any other existing Windows to do recovery. Razer's youtube video (named "how to create and use a system recovery stick") is very helpful but it lacks the information regarding where to download the system recovery file, unfortunately. Could someone from Razer team tell me know how I can proceed? Thank you!

I own a 4K 2070Maxq 15" blade model. I tried lowering down the screen resolution to 1920x1080 and it looks blurry. How do I fix that? I have an external monitor which is 1920x1080, and the mouse doesn't transit smoothly from the 4K to the 1920, because of the size, which is why I reduced my laptop screen to 1920, but it becomes blurry.

Hello, since my battery overcharging / bloating Razer locked thread and got in touch for a (chargeable) out of warranty repair because battery warranties only extend to 1 year and I was 2 and a bit years into my ownership. I'd like to set aside whether this should require a chareable repair or covered under warranty, a thread on that will go no-where an I also suspect would be locked. But on reflection and with the benefit of hindsight I missed several the warning signs of failure while I was still under warranty and I just wished I'd acted sooner so I am posting here some of the warning signs so that other users can perhaps catch in-warranty and not be caught as I was.
