Hey everyone, I am considering making the switch to Razer. Since I perform a lot of architectural designing in-addition to high end non-competitive gaming, my current choices are either the Blade Pro or the Studio. With Razer's collection of laptops, can the components be upgraded over time, or would I need to upgrade the entire laptop? I'd hate to invest $4k and only have the laptop last for two years. I generally get about seven years out of a system with upgrading the internals myself. Also, what has been the community's experience with noise? Do Razers tend to be on the quieter side when cooling or are they on the louder side of things? Thanks for feedback!

Hello guys, a couple nights ago I knocked a Red Bull over ontop of my razer blade stealth keyboard. I noticed a day or two later that the bottom keys were very sticky and mushy and same with my track pad. I opened up the back cover of the RBS and lifted up the better and cleaned under the battery by the trackpad all of the sticky, syrupy, Red Bull. Hey folks, I'm brand new to the world of gaming laptops and I'm still working out which one I want to buy for my first. My current laptop was very much not designed for gaming and anything would be an improvement. I started developing an interest in computer games about a year ago but constantly found myself frustrated by the specs my current laptop has. Replacing it with a gaming laptop seemed like a good choice which led me to researching what I needed. Razer has received some wildly good reviews on all the models that I've looked up and I'm leaning more and more towards getting one. The two options I'm currently looking at are the touchscreen versions of the Razer Blade 15 and the Razer Blade Pro 17. Both have the same Intel Core i7-9750H processor, GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU, and 4K screen. And since anything would be above my current setup, the other specs aren't swaying my decision either way. Laptop: Razer Blade 13 (late 2019) Hello All, I'm facing the following two issues with my recently bought (Jan 15, 2020) laptop Two Issues: 1. Touchpad single tap (right-hand side) 2. Adaptive Brightness - it is not working at all. I have to change the brightness manually when I move from a dark to a brighter room. Hello, in every test about Razer Blade Pro 2019 the panel model is AUO B173HAN04.0, meanwhile two samples of Blade Pro 2019 which I have access for, according to HWiNFO have IPS panel model BOE NV173FHM-N44, which from reviews it's pretty bad in comparison to AUO one, as PWM flickering and bad response times. Can any owner of Blade Pro 2019 check or post screen from HWiNFO what panel model is in your sample? Regards

Hello, I got a late 2019 Base Model with a spare 2.5” drive bay, went to install an SSD and there’s no screws to actually mount the drive to the bay in the system.. Can someone tell me what ones I need to attach the bracket so the drive is installed properly. They are the ones which would be screwed into the back side of the SSD. Why these aren’t already included is beyond me. thank you.

I brought my razer blade 15 a couple of months ago, but when I set up my laptop I chose the name of the admin, but haven't chosen the name of the main directory. I have tried to go to computer management, but it doesn't exist on my windows version and I have also tried to reset my laptop to see if it would make a difference, but even though I have chosen the option of deleting and cleaning my PC, the name of the administrator and the main directory stayed the same and didn't ask me to change it to something else. So I would like to know how to change the name of the main directory. Thanks in advance !

I bought a Razer Blade 14 back in 2015 and recently the performance on the laptop has drastically reduced. Is there any diagnostic tools or any tip you would give to increase the performance. I cant even play League of Legends on the laptop without massive lag spikes.

Hi all, I've just upgraded the NVMe in my Razer Blade and it is emitting a fair amount of heat when gaming. Just wondered if anyone has upgraded their NVMe's and what cooling, if any, they are using. Item installed : 2TB WD BLACK™ SN750 NVMe™ SSD without the heatsink. I bought the one without the heatsink as it was £170 cheaper than the one with from Amazon Spain. I've tried to apply thermal pads to it but they still seem to keep it quite warm.

Hi guys, back on July I've bought a Blade Mid 19 OLED and today I was testing some recording application and I've noticed that the microphone was capturing a high pitch whining noise on the background, you can here the noise in the following link: https://voca.ro/omWPph9jEHi I am not sure whether this issues was since then or not but to be honest with bare ear it is hardly noticeable unless you really give focus on it or if you have high sensitivity to these kind of noises (actually from time to time unconsciously I can grab it to my ears). However, the issue comes when you start recording where it really get noticeable. I am not sure whether it is due to coil whine since it seems to be periodic and comes and goes any idea what this could be and how to be resolved. Hello, I need help with connecting my BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt video capture card to Razer Blade 15 late 2019. I believe I've got an older model Shuttle card with a Thunderbolt 2. I used it for VJing and recording analog video into my Macbook pro via TB port for years, and it still works fine on Mac. Recently I've got a new Razor Blade 15 laptop. Official specs on Razor web site say it has Thunderbolt 3 port which really looks EXACTLY as old TB2 and also it has another USB-c port. But no matter how I try to connect Shuttle card to it - via the Thunderbolt port with normal TB>TB cable which works fine with Mac, or via Thunderbolt to USB-c adapter (original Apple adapter or Chinese copy ) into USB-C port, in both cases computer don't see and recognize Shuttle card. Of course, all drivers are up to date. I've contacted Razer support yesterday. They weren't really helpful, and just told me it's not their business and I should contact Blackmagic Support. Now the thing is -as i just told you above- nearly any other major OEMs in laptop section ( like Dell, Lenovo, Asus and ... ) which usually produce and sell much cheaper products than Razer have this feature enabled by default as an bios option or an app which will limit the battery charging capacity to 40,60,80 percent of its default capacity so that the customer not deals with any battery wearings and bloats over a short period of time like less than a year period on most Razer machines due to this and some overcharging and voltage issues. Hi All, Didn't know where to post this, and I haven't seen alot of topics on this. Basically the Razer Blade 15 base model from mid 2019 comes with a 512GB SSD, and a 2.5in SATA slot. Just wanted to know (since I'm a complete noob to laptop upgrades) if by adding a SATA SSD to the empty slot, if the storage will stack with the existing 512GB SSD in the NVMe Slot? For example... If I were to purchase a 500gb SATA SSD, will my total memory then be 1TB? Also... will installing a SATA SSD be as simple as plug and play, or do I have to back up and boot everything up with the installation? Thanks for the help,

Hi there, it is time to upgrade my monitor and Razer Raptor is on top of my list. I would like to us it with my gaming PC and my MacBook. However I have some questions. 1. I the display panel used in Raptor same as LG 27GL850? They have simmiliar specs, and launching at the same time. 2. Will it support my MacBook Pro 13 (2018) over the usb type C? 3. I was wondering what the response time on the Razer Blade 15. I am considering getting the razer Blade 15 but the only factor limiting is there is no mention of the response time, just the refresh rate. I have heard of 12 ms but this was the only mention I could find, but it was from a Reddit post. Any information is helpful. So as the Christmas season winds to a close and the promotions are almost over, I wanted to get people's opinions of Razer. I'm looking at long term opinions. I'm hoping to 4+ years out of the laptop, would that be a realistic expectation?

I’m interested in getting the RBS 2019 with the intel iris integrated GPU. My main goals are having a powerful computer that can last me for a while and has decent battery life (8 hours or so) with normal use. My use case is NOT gaming on the go. I’m thinking of pairing this computer with an eGPU for gaming. Points for the intel iris: - 25W CPU - Longer battery life - Better thermal profile, does not get as hot as the full GTX 1650 version. My question is whether I am doing myself a disservice by not getting the GTX 1650 version, seeing as how its just $100 more (with bigger HD too). I know the dGPU can be disabled, but can I expect to see similar power consumption as the intel iris version if I disable the dGPU most of the time? I’m seeing mixed results on this with reviews since everyone seems to have a different battery testing methodology. Planning to run linux on this, if that matters.

Hi, i have a razer blade 15 advanced model purchased this year. I would like to increase the brightness or definition of the screen more than it is allowded by windows itself, if it is possible. What i mean is that if i compare my screen with a MS surface laptop's or macbook pro's screen i notice a huge difference. I am not a pro, and i have a doubt if i just need to change a specific setting. thanks!

Razer Blade Stealth owner here. On the edge of the laptop, I have very small, almost unnoticeable silver chips where the black paint has gone away. Is it possible to paint over that? If so, do you know any specific product or color to be used?
