1060 laptop still fine for FHD games, no need to buy a Blade if it full fills your need. 1060 isn’t enough for me because I play 1440p, 1070 Blade is still fine for that so maybe i keep my Blade 15 that cost me €2300;)

I wouldn’t mind buying the blade. But it’s RGB and other elements jack up the price for a reason. It’s cool stuff but then again, buying it used I’m not sure that’s a good idea

Too bad that the 2070 and 2080 will be MaxQ.

Putting over 100tdp gpu especially 2080 that’s over 150watt plus other components like cpu etc will melt the Blade, and 230 watt ac adapter won’t supply it well. It’ll probably eat battery capacity, discharge it and will shut down on gaming even plugged on the wall. This is mobile rtx gpu and desktop version comparison. I believe non MQ/ maxq, would need really big ac adapter especially on 2080, it’ll against Blade 15 portability purpose. But on Pro 17 model if there’s any refresh, it may be possible to put full 2080 (mobile).

I don't think there are 1440p thin bezel displays. That's why we're not seeing them in laptops. So I think the options are gonna be 1080 or 4k. Personally I think that is a shame as I believe with the hardware we get in these laptops is kinda going to waste on 1080p screen.

What's funny is I finally went to the 144hz panel...and now with 2080 being available I may consider going to 4k. Why waste all that power.
It will cost the same as your kidney or maybe slightly cheaper. Also, without the obnoxious green snakes, it will looks like a business laptop but instead made for gaming. WOW

Dammit, I cannot find how much it will be here in Italy. I'm willing to buy one with the RTX 2070 Max-Q... I just hope it won't cost more than 2500 though I saw that in the UK store it costs 3k:frown_:, probably will have to sell a kidney.😂 Anyway I can't wait to get my hands on one of these and finally get into gaming, 'cuz boy it's hard to play anything on a 920M😂

What do you expect from Razer ? You are paying for the looks and brand. If other competitor able to make their machine to look like business laptop with superior built quality and hardware features, Razer will be force to drop their price. Kidney is better than gaming. Gaming is just not worth it and dont let it take over your life ! Or just get a new hobby rather than playing games. This hobby is too expensive

Maybe it’s the driver that not well optimized yet or the game compatibility with new hardware, since both are new. I remember when my Blade 15 1070 maxq that was just released and Blade 14 1060 when 1060 just came to laptop some titles like for honor and AC Origins crashed in game, some of that I solved by using very old nvidia driver which was suck because other new titles demanded new driver.

Boy do I wish I could afford one of these sexy beasts. Maybe in a few years when they hit the used market, i can have a fun (and likely challenging) Hackintosh project. Great job on the innovation Razer, lets see Valerie now!

The prices are what will determine the fate for these. I won’t be surprised if the advanced ones creep into the $5k mark

No so expensive only for 2999,99 bucks;)

You guys are killing me. Just pulled the plug and ordered Blade 15 gtx1060 two days ago.

pulled the plug last month. kicking myself right now

If the blade has a 1440p 144hz screen, I'll not even hesitate to get one.
But now, I have to choose between high resolution and high refresh rate.
Not to mention, the High-resolution panel is not even purchasable in many countries.

Personally, 1440p and 4k are the same on a 15-inch screen, but I can notice the difference when it comes down to 1080p.

It's finally here!!! Please release a Gunmetal Grey color option or an option for tone-on-tone logo! Either way, I can finally get an upgrade from my six year old ROG laptop!

Hear hear!
I'm no fan of the green light-up logo either - I second this appeal! Make it happen and I'll hand over my money! 🙂

And all of them show the US-Version.

And all of them show the US-Version

No its not. It's your fault to make wrong assumptions when the website shows, that the product doesnt have the feature you would like it to have.

It is clearly shown in the pictures shown on both websites.

Yes it has. But the first reviews have shown that not a single country, except the US, has this feature. And when you check the websites you will find, that they showed nothing else.

Am i sad that Razer doesnt offer this Feature for the german keyboard? Ofc i am. But it's nothing they promised to deliver, it's nothing they have shown for every country. It's not false advertising, it's just only shown in the pictures. You can blame then for that, okay. But when i make a purchase with a price tag that big i inform myself before that. And the lack of illumiated function keys is mentioned on reddit, in this forum and on every not american reviews (and on the razer website).

Yes of course it was the US Version because it was an US Expo! Even when they would have showed it on a Expo in Taiwan they would have shown the US version to show that new feature.
And if I have made wrong assumptions because there are more pics showing the backlit compared to a single pic which does not show the backlit, so on what can I rely, if I would have ordered it on the very first day? The reddit entry was made few days after.
And the Razer website shows only one single picture without the backlit compared to five with backlit and mentioned nothing. Even the support in Hamburg had to admit and apologized for this failure.

And if you buy a car or something else with a high price tag, do you read all reviews from all countries??? Definitvely not!

Right. The existing of the feature is not mentioned once. Why do you alle expect it to be in every model for every country?

And not a single of these pictures says, that it's the Advanced Version.

When you scroll down to the part where the topic actually is the keyboard, everything is shown correct.

Ofc they could clarify that much better. But they never mention it as a feature, they show it correct in the pictures. And if you are really interested to buy one you can google reviews in like 10 secs where this topic is also mentioned.

Well, on the german website the first picture already says it is the Pro version with the backlit picture and there is one more later on the same page.

And in the end it does not matter, if you want to defend Razer for this.
In fact it is misleading advertisement and not allowed in germany. You can also not assume, that every customer has to read all reviews worldwide. The customer has to rely on the material he can find on the manufacturer website and makes his decision what to buy, when he can see what he can get.

Well if companies like Apple, Microsoft etc can light up the secondary function keys for all their markets then it’s reasonable to expect Razer to do the same (especially when they never explicitly say it’s a US only feature).

I did wait for reviews and this is the exact reason why Razer are not getting my money.

Yes, it is shown correctly in the keyboard picture, however it does not exclude the fact that there are more pictures on that webpage showing the full keys lit.

The fact so many people had to ask other UK users whether they are backlit or not, or the number of UK customers that were disappointed when they received their laptop and noticed this proves how confusing they made it on that webpage and how poorly they have advertised it.

You can rely on the picture at the description of the keyboard which shows clearly that the secondary functions are not illuminated!

And again, there is one picture which describes the keyboard, and in this picture it is clearly shown that the secondary functions are not illuminated.

And even if not, It is not mentioned once that the secondary functions are illuminated, even not on the US site. You want a feature Razer hasn't even announced and only shown on mockups but not in the product description or on the product pictures regarding that topic.

So when Microsoft build in a floppy drive i can expect that vom Razer as well?

They didn't even mention the feature on the US site, they just show pictures. How can you expect, based on that, that the other countrys get that feature?

It’s not a floppy drive though is it? It’s a basic feature that even the base model has.

Anyway I’ve said my opinion. It’s clear that there is no reasoning with you so instead of going round in circles, let’s agree to disagree.

You’re entitled to your opinion but I will never understand why someone would defend a company that’s done something sh*tty like this and, who lets be honest, couldn’t give two flying f’s about you.

Have a good day.
all organs in the body need to sell it,hahaha

Rtx Blade 2060 users dominate in 3Dmark Firestrike rankings. And maxq 2080 Blade 15 broke Firestrike 22K graphics score, timespy closing 8K overall. In this form factor is not bad at all:smile_:

What's funny is I finally went to the 144hz panel...and now with 2080 being available I may consider going to 4k. Why waste all that power.

You'll definitely get more mileage out of it. Even last generation with the 1070mq I would argue 1080p was kind of a waste. Plus since the higher the resolution you go the more it becomes gpu dependent. Letting those poor CPU's cool off lol.

I am curious about the 240hz panels. I've always been a slow adopter of high refresh screens. I still argue I can't see much difference on the desktop between 60 and 120hz. In game I do notice it being much smoother. Some people covering CES seem to be more or less losing their minds over the high refresh rate. I'd like to see real users give an opinion on it.
