I clearly should have waited. Just bought my 2018 Razer 15 a month and a half ago.

In the PC world, there's allways something that will make you think that you should have waited.
But i think it makes this domain si much fun cause it never stops to impress me. Even when a new product becomes a flop, it brings something new.
To be honest, at this point blade is already not missing a lot...
If by next gpu iteration we have a good oled 120htz 1080p or 1440p display, we should have a gaming laptop that offer really really good performance.
4k in a 15inch display just consume a lot of gpu power for very minimal noticeable benefit. New pcie protocole might also help enhance the performances.
This Razer is already good, it s just sad that Nvidia New gpu and Intel New cpu don't offer better improvement.
At least with the 2080 Razer version now available, we should see some real improvement compare to last year 1070.

Not sure when benchmark will be available. Looking forward to compare them. A 40% improvement is possible and that big!

Hahaha chill dude I was just kidding I'm not willing to sell any part of my body and I'm not "OMG I NEED IT RIGHT NOW!!", I'll be buying a new laptop when my savings will allow me and I like the laptop. At the moment I like this "blade with RTX" most from CES. I really need a better laptop since mine is getting old and less perfoming and old😂.

YEAH ! But one day, we will see Nvidia and manufacturer will work on power, portability and battery life altogether. Me too am saving as well but unfortunately am too poor. By your referencing of your kidney is a serious case as multiple cases happens in reality. Look at China and iphone case. Selling kidney to afford an expensive iphone. Some idiot tell that young boy you can survive with one kidney, ended up paralyze.

Still there are things that fall under one's own responsibility - and selling one's kidney really qualifies as that - and just because there are sad cases of poor misguided ppl who were duped into doing such a thing happening does not mean one can not make a joke or a figure of speech - because honestly a lot of really cruel things happen in this world - so if we start to be offended by ppl who are saying something that reminds us or others of these cruelties then we soon may not talk at all - anything you say could be constructed to look like a reference to something awful.
Also - this is a razer forum - you can expect ppl to a) be passionate about the hardware and b) be mature enough not to act on a figure of speech.

Even if it's in Hong Kong it's still in stock and doesn't matter. At Christmas, I ordered a Blade 15 from Razer and an Asus from Amazon and the Razer arrived 1 day before my Amazon Prime order. Literally arrived under 36 hours after I ordered.
Read the test and i'm pretty surprised. The Noise Emission has reduced a lot which i like a lot. With a little bit optimization like undervolting, overclocking and so on the Blade 15" 19 should be a real beast.

Notebookcheck review for 2070 model is out. Unfortunately he tested not further on balanced or gaming mode, pretty sure low cpu performance is because of balanced mode. The rest is pretty promising, 1080maxq raw performance.

In looking at the Witcher 3 comparison between the RB15 2070 MQ vs. the 2080 MQ laptops that they've tested, the 2080 MQ laptops only perform between 9% - 12% better than the 2070 MQ. Assuming the RB15 2080 MQ performs similarly, I'm thinking the 2080 MQ won't be worth the $400 additional dollars over the 2070 MQ for such a small performance improvement.

In addition, the 2060 vs. the 2070 MQ in the same comparison, the 2070 MQ is 15% better for a $300 premium over the 2060.

Now, to go from a 2060 to the 2080 MQ is a $700 premium that based on the benchmarks is a performance increase of 26% - 29% which in the Witcher 3 is 15 - 18 more FPS.

What is everyone's thoughts on overall value (performance vs. price)? For me, I'm thinking the 2060 or 2070 MQ sound like the better options.

@Vahdyx congrats mate I wish you to enjoy it and to be defectless . By the way did you get the OLED one or the 240 Hz refresh screen?

I opted for the 240 Hz. I'm still scared of OLED. I worry about burn in so for me it's a wait and see type of thing. If people have no issues then I'll get one next upgrade which will be in 2-4 years assuming it lasts that long.

Oh snap! I just got the 'now' outdated model. Bumma.

It still kicks butt.

Of course, and it will for at least another 4 years
Interesting results, it seems that the RTX Max-Q gpus in Razer Blade are coming overclocked bringing them closer to the desktop versions.

It seems that they have managed to optimize the cooling with the vapor chamber in this version.
Does anyone know or have any idea of when the 4K Touch screen option will be available for this new model? I can't find any info anywhere.
Anyone get their Battlefield V or Anthem game code after ordering one of these? It has been 10 days since I purchased and the directions said 14 day after... I am worried supplies didnt last very long.

On last year Blade 15 I didn’t ask intel and vr games gifts because I don’t need that (buying on campaign period), but then when black ops came maybe 6 months later and intel campaign was changed to that I asked support if I can get it instead but since I was qualified for previous campaign they sent me intel vr keys. So I think it’s not from Razer it self, the stock should be there from nvidia since this is their campaign like other rtx laptops and rtx card. I got Anthem from rtx card purchase directly from nvidia, they provide the code right on gpu bill, but a lot manufacturer and nvidia partners doing 14 days after purchase code delivery to avoid buying their products for the game code.
Anyone knows the rtx 2080 base clock and watts on the blade model?
So confusing with all those 2080 maxq version.
Is the blade 2080 a good version like the 2070 is or not?
Are they any benchmarck allowing to compare the blade 2070 to the 2080? Are we speaking about 5 10 ir 20% performance increase?

Sorry for the wall of question.

Thanks
Hi

Do you know if usually stock come back fast?
The 2080 blade is no more available in France.
Do you think it will come back within couple of days? Or more like weeks, months?

I have the feeling that a razer blade pro with thin basel and a full 2080 or full 2070 will be soon available...
@JORG33

At the moment definitely not. If you are Coding, Video-Editing and stuff like that, it can be useful but in gaming, 16gb should work for the next couple of years.
Can somebody help me?
I can not match my orochi 2015 mouse with my razer blade 15 ", nor with my razer blade 14".
both notebook use win10
thanks
Has anyone posted their pc mark 8 or pc mark 10 benchmarks of this laptop? I'm curious. I'm in the very low 4000's and I'm a bit surprised. This is the 9th gen advanced model with a 2080.

For gaming laptops maybe users post more 3Dmark, PC Mark 10 is for office pc benchmarks. However apparently your score is quite low for the hardware, did it run on ac adapter or battery? Try also run on Synapse costum max performance both gpu and cpu. I think you should get over 5K overall score.

Yes, this was on ac adapter. I didn’t see any difference when setting synapse to performance. I was thinking, maybe that feature is disabled. I’ll take another look in the morning. I compared to an older Alienware laptop I had, and that score was 150 pats less, but using a sixth gen cpu and 1070. I’m happy this is higher, but marginally. I bet I’m missing a checkbox or something.

Maybe it’ll be better run 3Dmark than PCMark, i think that’s more suitable for high end PC, and when I’m not wrong even Blade stealth with ulv cpu scored almost close to Blade 15 with dgpu which made me thinking that PCMark 10 isn’t suitable for benching Blade performance. 3Dmark isn’t as long as PCMark 10.
This’s my Blade 15 with rtx 2080 Razer Core setting score, but the improvement only very minimum over dgpu, which is unusual on my usage gaming, even on worst case, egpu biggest bottleneck area @1080p it should be minimum 5% performance gain.
Blade 15 2018 8750H + rtx xc2080

Blade 15 8750H 1070maxq dgpu.

I’m not familiar with this benchmarks score, but you can try run 3Dmark and show me HWinfo64 to see if your cpu and gpu works as it should be, you can check the parts temperature as well with that software.

From synthetic benchmarks compared to my 1070maxq OC profile 200/600, I saw roughly only 10% graphics performance bump on firestrike but over 30% on timespy, so theoretically it performs way better on dx12 @higher resolution since stock firestrike is dx11 1080p and timespy is dx12 1440p.

Yeah I do get that OCing on a laptop is kinda pointless but its always nice to get free performance especially when you get lucky with good silicon.

It looks like I've got a bit of a dud GPU, my 2070 MQ is only 100% stable with +90 on the core and +600 on mem.. :(
It will run ok mot of the time with ta slightly higher OC but will crash from time to time...

In some games I'm pretty close to a full desktop GTX 1080, especially in titles that favour Turing, so its nice to see all that power in such a small and thin package.

Its a great machine, I love it, knowing there's the 2080 MQ out there keeps me awake at night, the never ending quest and journey for more FPS....

Yeah. I really. really need a GF.
Joikansai
No so expensive only for 2999,99 bucks;)

ohhh myy gooodnesssss x_x. i'm doubting if i'll ever have one now....
