Can't wait to see benchmarks for the Blade RTX lineup

From the benchmarks slowly coming out for various manufacturers/models, Turing mobile is really disappointing at the moment.

Or maybe my expectations were just too high 😉
If you are comparing 1070 max q to 2070 max q I think that there is no real need to upgrade. Much more expensive for not so better performance and rtx technologies is useless( far too much impact on frame rate even more on a maxq version).
If you compare 1070 max q to 2080 max q then there is a solid 25% as far as I have see.
That significant, and at the end on a 1080p panel a 2080 will be plenty of enough for quite long.

This laptop will be enough till we get solid performance at 4k plus oled screen.
So at least 2 generation of gpu.I wish we had gsync or are least adaptive sync has it s now available.

I have a 970m Razer blade now, so I think I should notice the upgrade.

I hope to receive it by the end of next week and that as an early adopter I will not pay the price of New hardware default or bad Quality Control.

I will keep 16g or ram but will surely upgrade to 2to ssd once new 970 evo+ and drivers for clean instal are available

Ugh, from 970m it’s huuuge upgrade like upgrading PS3 to PS4 Pro:smile_: Note RTX technology isn’t only Ray Tracing, dlss will make it worth in the future, now only for FFXV though but BFV, Anthem etc will follow it.

Why no news on blade pro. The new advanced 15 looks good but the cpu is lacking. Why not 8950hk???

The current $500 discount on the old Blade Pro may just be a sign some of us have been waiting for...
K would have loved a new blade pro, and I might have go with it instead of a blade.
It will come, a blade pro with full 2080 and a 17 screen in a 15 inch format.
May be my next blade in 2 or 3 years...

Anyone know what is the the rtx 2080 on the blade? Is it a 80 watt or a 90watt? Are they different kind of rtx 2080 maxq(with different voltage) or only one?

I bought the computer but they said I will receive a email to download the games but I didn't receive any email to download the games

Did you check also on your spam mail box? If there’s still no mail for the code after 10 days (when I’m not wrong) receiving the Blade, contact CS.
I want to retire my rbp uhd. It’s already showing signs of age. Everytime i tap the bottom part of the laptop the audio pauses.
Does anyone know why the Mercury White version wont have the RTX 2080 MQ option ??
Hey Razer,

the new Blade seems to be the perfect fit for my job and gaming on the go. But i need much more Space. So if i get one i want to upgrade the ssd as fast as i can with 1 or 2 TB.
Will there be a version with the RTX 2060 and 256GB of SSD Space? I will upgrade it anyway so there is no need for me to buy a model with 512.
So is the 4K one out yet? It went from being "SOLD OUT" to "NOTIFY ME". Not sure if those mean different things.
never was available. they usually get available long after the 1080p version.

you will need to wait more.

ordered mine today but they denied my paiment as they wanted to double check it wasn t a fraud. now I need to wait for them to call me...not sure how long this will take.

At worst i will have to wait for availabiity on Amazon. less money for Razer...

They denied 3 orders, then one went through and never processed, had to cancel this is order becuase never moved from received status in 2 days. Then, finally got one through and now they tell me ships from hongkong. 5 orders and 3 days to be able to buy their product. 5 support requests and 2 phone calls.

They state they are in stock and ship next business day on website but it is not true. I received email that order completed and credit card charged, but no shipping confirmation. I asked how long if shipping from Hong Kong and no answer.

It was a horrible experience buying from them. This payment verification is a joke. They take 24 hrs to get back to you if lucky. Everything with them is 2-3 days. They sabotage their own sales lol

Be prepared to wait for your purchase and their horrible ordering process when they decide you need to get verified.

Love their products, but ordering business not on par with their competitors.

Glad to hear I'm not the only going through this problem. I would have just ordered through Amazon and had it already if they sold the Mercury White edition. I'm tempted to cancel man it's a constant run around with the customer service at this point.

From my experience of ordering 2 Blades in the past, they always ship from Hong Kong and arrive 36-48 hours from order confirmation. Problem is the shipping is much faster than their email updates so don’t get too upset yet.

The verification thing is bad though. I experienced that once on a peripheral order, so wasn’t as major but it delayed things by a bit. It was on the same card I’d used for another order a couple weeks prior. Was annoying. Then it shipped and arrived 2 days later.

Best way to deal with support is via the chat IMO for what it’s worth. It’s definitely not as seamless as other online stores and could use a LOT of improvement. I think they should scale up those operations ASAP honestly. Especially with Razer Care now being a thing. I’m ordering my 4K Blade from Razer Store over Amazon SOLELY because of Razer Care. Not sure if I trust the Amazon warranties they sell.
Just to make it Cristal clear for me, once you receive the denied email does it mean it might be validated later without needing to enter your credit card info again? Or in all the case I will have to do the whole order again once I have been contacted?
?

I strongly think to order on Amazon and wait a little bit more.

Time to step up your shopping experience Razer... especially knowing that another french user that also wanter to order a rtx 2080 went with the same payment denied issue.

On the topic of benchmark, it is still early and I have a little bit of difficulty to analyse the rtx maxq series.

Seems like the 2060 non max q is close from the rtx 2070 max q version and the rtx 2070 max q is close to the 2080 max q.
The non max q are on another level.

A little bit confused, as it might be hard to justify the price tag difference. We might need some LM cooling plus Underwood Overclock operation to really get the best of it.

Next week should be fun with plenty of info and benchmark.

I think I saw Min posting somewhere about this payment issues recently, when I’m not wrong he mentioned would look at it and his team will deal with that but it’s better reach support per phone in Hamburg headquarters or chats online to get faster update about your queue status.
2080 Blade performs pretty well actually it can achieve 21K graphics score on default gaming mode, only cpu that hold it to go higher, and that score already blows last gen a lot thick 1080 laptops out in to the ocean:) I believe it can get higher. I was tempting to get one actually but 1070 Blade still serves me well...be patient me;)
Pure power in an exquisite design!

New Synapse 3 looks on Blade 15 RTX. Not with Blade 15 2018 so can’t confirm if it’s also available for last year model. There’s new creator mode option beside traditional Balanced and gaming mode and fan speed now is 5300rpm with low rpm not grey anymore which means may be reduce to that point.

I had to place a new order and credit card again.

But this one failed as well.

Then tried again, this one was stuck in receiving. Had to cancel. This takes 24 hrs as well, just to cancel.

Then tried again, failed

Then tried again and this one went through. But no shipping confirmation yet.

And yes I bought a razor from them before, I logged in to purchase. It’s ridiculous to say the least.

If order is stuck in received for 24 hours I suggest you cancel, support didn’t know how to track this or release for processing and blamed it on warehouse.

You know your Oder is good to go when you receive e-mail telling you successfully processed your order and preparing for shipment and that your credit card will be charged. If not something went wrong.

I understand all this from a new company but these guys have been around. They should not claim item is in stock and ship next business day if the item is in Hong Kong. Also, paying the extra 10 dollars for faster shipping doesn’t seem to do much.

Good luck

I don’t think anybody has received their purchase from their release on Tuesday 29th. All these problems are them not having the product there I think.

Has anybody gotten theirs yet?
uncle_farkus
Even if it's in Hong Kong it's still in stock and doesn't matter. At Christmas, I ordered a Blade 15 from Razer and an Asus from Amazon and the Razer arrived 1 day before my Amazon Prime order. Literally arrived under 36 hours after I ordered.

I agree, I purchased a Razer 15 v1 and received it quickly. Not all experiences are bad. They had it in stock and shipped next day. From US.

But with this being a new product, something else is going on....

If you fall in their ridiculous verify purchase. then be prepared to wait even longer.

My friend ordered his RTX on release day from Amazon and got it the next day. I can't imagine Amazon would have stock but the Razer warehouse wouldn't.
I personnaly think that there is only 2 options with this new generation of RTX laptop:

You want the best performance in a thin 15" laptop, you don t care about price/performance ratio: go rtx2080.

You care about price/perfomance ratio or don't need/want the best: go maxq 1070 with big discount.

At least that the way I see it.

RTX is a gimmick for now, especially on a laptop where turning on RTX really give poor performance.

DLSS might help in the future, but you pay expensive now for a tech that you will not enjoy before at least months.

I am going for the 2080 because I can aford it and because I know that I will change at the next generation (especially with oled and better gpu).
Else I might just have go for a 1070 maxQ at discount price.
Straight on my wishlist!!
