Just plugged up the firefly, and go to use the mouse, and it stutters. moving cm when i try to swipe it all the way across the surface. I got the hard mat for the firefly, and wondering if any one else has this problem, and if to get the cloth version or get a new mouse.

I have no such issues. Did you calibrate the mouse with the Firefly?

I got the Mamba TE and the firefly today, Plugged it all in and have been using it for the past couple hours. Working all good for me. I suggest you Contact Razer Support, Since there may be a problem with your mouse sensor. I know my 2 deathadders don't work on some mats too.

Also, Did you try to go into the calibration section under the mouse in Razer Synapse? Pick the firefly mat and it may help you.

I did try to calibrate it with the presets and doing it myself. non of which have helped. I have sent in an email trying to figure out the direct cause, hoping its not the sensor but that appears to be what the issue is.Time for a new mouse???

Yes, none of the calibrations worked. presets did no good either

How old is the Mouse? If its a newer mouse, Try to get a new mouse under warranty. Don't go out and buy a new one if it is possible to get a new one for free under warranty. Razer Support might also have some kind of method to fix the issue you are having.

Unfortunately I have had the mouse for over a year now, and did not get the warranty like I knew I should have.

Best way to find out the issue is to test them separately. Stutter as in the mouse pointer will not stay in one place? If so does it stutter when one is unplugged? Try on flat table without mousepad.

Stutters as in when i slowly move the mouse up the pad, The pointer either moves cm's then jumps up or doesnt move at all, Right now im on a lenovo cloth pad and the mouse tracks fine, i use it on the Firefly and it just doesnt track right.

Well its hard to say. Shouldn't be an issue with the surface. What mouse is that you're using. Maybe an old sensor that cannot detect hard surface? You know like some mice can even be used over glass, some can't.

Using the Mamba TE, had it for over a year now almost 2.... thinking and hoping its just an old/bad laser. So i might test it with another Mamba TE and if the issue is still there ill get the deadthadder elite, seeing those have a better optical sensor anyways

Yeah hard to say unless tested. Some theories i can think of.
If mouse issue try on hard surface like your table, could be worn off mouse feet? Vibration on table? Firefly issue maybe try unplugging and use it as it is. Electrical interference from the lights maybe? Not an expert in that field.
However on the bright side it still works on a cloth surface so it can still be used as a secondary mouse if you intend to buy a new one. Maybe a chroma to match the firefly.
