  1. Hello

As I watch former great companies shed their products, Microsoft and many others come to mind with countless dead or dying OS's and applications, dead and obsolete hardware, I came to realize how stagnate the PC market has become, with SSD's the only real improvement in the last ten years.

The only thing left for the PC market are improvements in graphics, speed and interface, SSD's being the latest in this effort.

Mice in one form or another have been with us from the very beginning. Many improvements have come and gone over the last three decades, with laser tracking, ergonomics and wireless connections being the most significant.

Now comes my replacement for the mouse that had everything, my Mamba 2012. What a great mouse. The only one I gave up a trackball system for.

What a disappointment it was when I started to review what the Mamba TE had to offer. Really, lights are the only thing you can think of as an improvement, while stripping out the battery, wireless electronics, detachable cable and docking charger? Really....

And to make it even more unbelievable, you built a "light up mouse mat" that does nothing more than light up. Really guys, this is the best you can do. Really.

Since you can't think of anything better to do with your skills and engineering, let me give you next year's improvement today. If one laser is good, then two should be better. And if two are better than one, then three or four ought to be awesome. And to round it off, so the competitors don't surprise you the following year, why not five lasers. Wow, and you get the light show for free.

What an idea (What, I stole this from Shick, with five blades being better than four, or three or two, or one. No way man, I thought it up all by myself.)

Give me a break guys, I need to RMA my Mamba 2012 and get it fixed, then we can talk refund on my Mamba 2.

"Since you can't think of anything better to do with your skills and engineering" Wow, the QQ is real.

You complain about Razer yet look at Intel, they've been pushing out "slight" upgrades with no real significant gains for multiple years now.

One could also say that Nvidia's latest graphic card the 980 TI is no real significant boost over the Titan X. (Besides the fact that you can now OC a non reference design)

Also amazing to note is how you're complaining the PC market is "stale" however when compared to consoles and their "upgrades", they're leaps and bounds apart. (Ex; 4k Gaming, g/free sync, Nvidia Tesla HPC GPU's ((obviously not for gaming, you get the point)), etc.)

P.S. Sorry to hear your mouse lasted a whole 3 years. Sounds like a total crap product. lol (/sarcasm)

While I do think it's dumb it is labeled as a Mamba and not as a Deathadder the whole point is for it to be for tournament use. The only upgrade they made was not lights, they also improved the DPI and probably beefed up the cable and its sturdiness a bit seeing as it is intended for travel. The lights are cool, I do think it is a bit silly how everyone is losing their minds of flashing lights but hey it's cool looking and if people want it why not give it to them? Razer is just listening to what their people want. And again, the Mamba TE is intended for Lan Tournament use, not to be the next great flagship mouse.
Yeah..... he knew what he was getting when he bought it.... and if he didn't that's his own fault you can find plenty of information about all razer products.

Yeah, If you want extreme improvement, you should have waited till normal Mamba 2015 arrived. You can't deny that ACFT is next level stuff...

If you don't like it, then don't buy it, nobody is forcing you. I, for one, enjoy chroma lighting on razer products, if it bothers you so much maybe just turn the lights off in the software? Jeez, cry me a river. :/

Lighting effects are just an added bonus, upgrades to products don't always have to be massive. There have been lots of minor improvements made in Razer products over the years also. I have been using Razer peripherals for almost 10 years and have to say the changes in that time have been dramatic. Not to mention the fact you get constant software updates to improve devices also, making a mouse bought in 2012 still relatively current today.
#ColorItUp is just a way for users to personalize their gear and an awesome one at that

Dude the GTX 980 Ti is a cheaper version of the Titan X with less VRAM.

Yeah, exactly. not anything revolutionary, lol. The only benefit of the 980 TI over the Titan X is the Non reference aftermarket coolers, such as the Asus Strix, Kingpin, HoF series, etc. It allows the card to be overclocked, but that's it. it's not like the card brought anything new to the game table, mate. :b

You do know that EVGA does sell a "superclocked" Titan X, right? You can change the cooler too, LinusTechTips did for his minion's workstations.

  17. New razer mamba is probably the most innovative innovation in gaming mice, like, it has adjustable click force....

You should read up on the specs before purchasing first rather than buy it and say is this all it had to offer. The TE edition is the lower end latest mamba for those who don't need anything but a simple mouse. I too didn't change from the 2012 to the TE because it wasn't a huge upgrade. Maybe the mamba wireless.
You expect something like project mcfly then.

    Wait...wait...in addition to Chroma lighting, there's the industry-leading 16,000 DPI 5G sensor, a tilt-click scroll wheel, 1mm lift-off precision, and 1 ms response rate.

And if you get the wireless Mamba, you have the adjustable click force innovation. The battery life has also improved.

All of this is in addition to the Chroma lighting redesign & inter-device synchronization - I'd say those are some badass improvements. They dared call it the world's most advanced mouse, so it only makes sense that they have the specs to back it up.
