And you are here as a prime example of why they are rethinking the program, Razer does not have any control over a countries import laws. If you find a product in a country that has harsh import laws and it's cheaper than a "free" product like this it's because a company in that country has set up and covered the cost of importing, it a much larger system with larger quantities of products. If a program like Zsilver is not viable in the country you live in that's your problem, not Razer's or anyone else's, time to move on.

I swear that the entitlement that people portray today is ridiculous.

    General Feelings:
Nothing is wrong with the program, the software seems slow and clunky at times, but thats a different story. Personally i havent yet gathered enough credits to "buy" anything, but the idea is interesting and a great PR-Tool(if u use it right).

    About the Community response:
I think the assumtion that u use the software and program for something not openly talked about, is a common one. I dont think anyone, would be against ur company (openly) using the program, as a way to data-mine, or maybe gettin a little closer relations with different game-developers. The issue (to me) is that it goes unsaid, and that u often mention(as in this post) that it only benefits the users(us) and in no way makes any beneficial impact on "Razer".
My personal theory would be to either explain, what exacly is, or isnt going on with the software, what exacly is being gathered or isnt being gathered. and generally give a little more resources to the whoever is in charge of bugfixing the software itself, even tho that might be counter-productive from a finacial standpoint.

further more, the changes that are happening, and have happened to pricing and paying for shipping/tax was quite badly explained. i personally disagree with how u publically seem to avoid talking about negative changes, especially when these have a larger impact on the users, i understand that u dont want to scare of potential newcomers by publishing and commenting on bad information, but find a way to give us the information.

Also love the low-rate earnings, u guys put on some of the games, that arent currently on the paid-to-play lists, its slow buts its something :)

Thanks to zSilver im gonna get the wireless hammerheads real soon :) (hopefully)

    - Pls dont shut the program down, change it, increase the prices, reset the vaults, idc. Dont scrap the idea, shits fun :)

i'm sorry i can't read the whole thread, but i'm going to ask a question anyway:
if the paid-to-play program is going to be suspended, will the zsilver earned from it will be deleted or something ?

As far as I know, ZS earned from P2P expires in 1 year but ZS from ZGold purchases never expires. You'll still have it and maybe rewards will still exist but P2P will no longer be a way to acquire them.

That's how I understand it anyway.

I completely support the Paid to Play program as well as the zGold/zSilver program. Unfortunately, there will always be negative people and crazy people (death threats... wow) out there in the world. However, they shouldn't be a reason to call off such a wonderful set of programs. I myself use both of these programs and have slowly scrimped and saved zSilver to buy my Kitty Ears soon on the zSilver website (so excited!). So please keep these programs alive!

Communication is key. I love the program and it has its ups and downs. Please be more open about your decisions. When you suddenly change the program and make the zsilver requirements 50 K more for some products without saying anything beforehand you can expect some backlash. So please communicate.

you have a great system that people can use to get free gear it would be super disappointing to see it go but i think people get overly upset when they get something then have it taken away via bugs and whatever.

I want to express my feelings about the Paid to Play program. I have already spoken with some members of the support and they advised me to reach out on the insider forum as well. I might have some ideas to fix the community too.

Let's begin, I have started using Cortex and the zSilver program about a 1 or 1,5 year ago. Since than I have redeemed a Lancehead TE and a Firefly Cloth edition and now I'm planning on getting a Chroma X keyboard. When I joined the program I was sceptic but I thought I would give it a try. I collected the zSilver as hard as I could and I couldn't wait until I reach the 104k for the Lancehead. Later on I got the needed amount of zSilver, ordered the mouse for completely free (no shipping no taxes). I have to admit, that mouse is awesome and I love it. After that, I decided to order the firefly cloth edition and this is where things got complicated and I started having negative feelings about the program. Few months later I redeemed 78k zSilver for the firefly and I went to the store to order it but I faced that I have to pay for shipping now. I contacted the support to find out what changed since my last order but they didn't really give me a proper answer. It is not a big deal to pay for the shipping on a product that is way more expensive than the products cost but you still have to pay the same shipping price for a product that is cheaper than the shipping. To clarify this situation I must explain, I got a voucher for a Mouse Bungee from my brother as a gift. The Mouse Bungee's cost is 25 € and if I order it from the european razer store it says I have to pay ~32 € for the shipping and that is ridiculous. Moreover, I thought I can mix the orders so I have to pay shipping once. I put the 2 items (firefly and bungee) in the basket and activate the vouchers for each items. Unfortunately, it is impossible to activate more codes within one order. I contacted razer support again to get their help because the bungee voucher's expiration date was close and I didn't want to lose 26k zSilver for nothing. The razer support couldn't help me, they said they can't do anything about the shipping price, they can't refound the zSilver for the product so either I pay 2* 32 € for the shipping or I let the bungee's voucher expire as I did so I lost 26k zSilver. Now I want to get the Chroma X keyboard but it's price was pushed up by ~70k and that makes me angry because even though I will get the 274,5k zSilver I know I will have to pay for the shipping too. It's kinda starting to get pointless.

I thought the main idea behind the program was to be able to get cool razer products for free as Min said on the post, but paying for shipping means it isn't free. Don't get me wrong I am happy to pay for the shipping but 32€ for a product which is less than 5 kg is too much. I have ordered a gaming chair recently (weight: 23 kg) from England and It's shipping cost was ~12 € and it arrived within 4 working days via DPD.

My ideas to fix these problems:
-Do not push up the products prices too much or remove the zSilver expritation or give us more boosted and double cap weekends, bring back the arena where we can earn zSilver by playing 1v1 in certain games.
-Compensate the shipping prices or make them disappear!
-Add the feature to being able to apply more vouchers within one order to the razer store. (1 voucher/item)
-Make zSilver refoundable or make sure everything is in stock and ready for order in every razer store at anytime

You guys might want my head after this comment but I just wanted to explain my problems I have encountered during the last few months with this program. I still think that Paid to Play is great and the idea behind it is very generous from Min. I love Razer Products and that's why I wrote down the things I mentioned before. Something has to be changed for the greater good! :D

Thanks for all the ongoing feedback - I've decided we will suspend the Paid to Play program shortly to review how we can improve it and we'll make an official statement on it soon.

In the meantime, you will still be able to earn zSilver in all other ways, and be able to redeem products as per normal until we make a decision on Paid to Play - to either improve it for all so that we get more of the community involved in a positive way - or shut it down altogether if we see that it just breeds negativity (and death threats for our staff which I have a zero tolerance for and pretty much prompted this).

It's sad to know P2P will be suspended for the meantime. I hope you guys stay safe. Hopefully you guys could come up with an improvement instead.

Okay, I respect that. As long as we can still make ZSilver somehow I am fine with it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

And how about item restock on zVault now? There will be some, or it's suspended until reviewing whole Paid to Play program?

Got it. We shall wait for the official announcement.
Thank you for reviewing the program, I believe that you and the team will reach the best decision for this program.

But do let us know in advance should you decide to shut it down as well. :)

Keep it up dude. You're the best.

I can't also believe...I always thought, that only Polish people are whiners, and if they get something for free they whine for more.

I'm really ashamed of those people - probably they have never worked (most of stuff was bought by mummy and daddy), so they didn't know the value of money.

I am sad that you will suspend this program, but I fully understand you. I just hope you won't take it down, because (IMHO) this program brings much more positives than negatives, both for Razer and the community.
And for those who are dealing with death threats, ban is the only solution.

A fair decision, and given the circumstances, probably the best one that could be made at this point in time. You guys were put between the proverbial rock and hard place on this one, and I will keep my fingers crossed for a positive decision :smile_:

The only thing I would ask, if at all possible, is that you guys just keep us updated regularly, even if it's just a sticky or something on the forum going "Sorry guys, no updates yet!", or something, just so that we know how the meetings/pizza evenings/Overwatch marathons (or however you guys make decisions) are going :wink_:.

Communication is going to be a key point here, I believe - this is the one time where silence could just make things worse...

Yes, as someone for whom the P2P program has been instrumental for, it sucked donkeybutt purple sticky caterpillar left mandible (there are kids present as I write this) to find that I now need another four months before I can get my new shiny, but that's just how it goes sometimes; I'm a big boy, and if it means I have to play Diablo or Starcraft or Guild Wars 2 or <insert game name here> every day for another four months, then oh, the agony, the pain, the torment of having to do something I thoroughly enjoy, to work towards something that I could get as a reward for my pain and anguish (Finger cramps - the pain is real folks!) :wink_: Anyway, I digress...

What I am trying to say is that I respect your decision, Min, just please, please keep us posted! I hope I am right in saying that we, as the community, will stand by whatever direction you choose to go in, and if P2P comes to an end, well, it won't stop me from saving up to get my keyboard, all it means is that it'll take a bit longer! :smile_: Speaking of which, you wouldn't happen to know what the going rate for a slightly used soul is? Asking for a friend, you know... :innocent:
