It's worth it to buy the Razer BlackWidow Chroma now? I mean, they're releasing a new model and I live in Brazil, things here are very, very expensive. And I want to buy because of the colors and to improve my gameplay, my current keyboard is a random that I bought to replace the old that was worse. What do you think, guys?

Yes. I think you should just go with the Chroma not the X. It has macro keys and the lights are brighter. Unless you are going with the stealth the keys are the same. I have a blackwidow chroma and it is beautiful. I don't like how the X bleeds out the sides with the colors.

To me the BW Chroma is still a very viable choice, even more prefer than the BW X edition. Just the fact that the lighting is brighter, theres macro keys on the side, I would place it higher than the X. From the look of the Chroma I dont know how much more you can upgrade a keyboard other than shorten the keypress to make it faster for gaming.

Absolutely! I have a BlackWidow Chroma in almost every version (regular, Tournament Edition and now the X). All great choices and hard to pick a favourite as I use them all regularly.

I don't use the macro keys on my black widow but I'd have to say it's my favourite keyboard by far. It does take up most USB ports but if you get a usb hub it's pretty good,I have a Tartarus, naga, pc fan, printer, webcam, capture card and my black widow chroma so if usb space isn't a problem go for it :D

People say that the Corsair K70 is better than Razer BlackWidow X Chroma and the Razer Blackwidow Chroma.I think it's your call dude.

Someone said that Cherry MX Red is most suitable for gaming and Cherry MX Blue is most suitable for typing.
Corsair K70 is red switch and Blackwidow is similar with blue switch.
But personally like the clicky feel of Blackwidow.

Everyone has an opinion and reasons why they prefer one keyboard over another. However, when it comes to buying one for yourself, I will always recommend going with whichever YOU think looks best for your needs and what you want to get out of it. How you type, how loud you (or house mates) can tolerate noise, whether or not you need a NumPad, which lighting you prefer, etc ... those are all such personal choices to make.

It's great to get views from all angles and see what others do or don't like about their products, but ultimately, they're not you. The best bet is always to see if you can get your hands on any of the items in question to test them out before buying and then go from there. If that's not an option, then perhaps the next best is reading the direct comparisons from the Razer Keyboard Comparisons section of their store.

Buying a keyboard is all about personal preference my advice would be try and find a place where you can go and have a look at a range of Razer keyboards and try them.

I currently own a Blackwidow Chroma and it is my first mechanical keyboard and i love it definitely worth the price tag and definitely improved my gaming performance.

i have the regular one the real regular. and i don't know i like the new design of the letters and numbers more than the old ones , but it's all different from person to person what you like more .

But they're just amazing and go for it!

Get the X over the normal chroma

The normal chroma feels really cheap in comparison and it's a real pain to keep clean and the plastic stains pretty easy. sure the lights on the X aren't as bright but I really recommend it over the original chroma unit.

It really comes down to personal preference, the 10 dollar difference shouldn't be the deciding factor, considering you'll spend a large sum of money regardless.
Personally I really love the look of the original chroma.
    Good luck!

    The answer is: Yes.

But the problem is which model. Please consider the following questions to decide which is best for you:
    • What is your budget?
    • Is Chroma a dealbreaker for you?
    • Will you be traveling with the keyboard?
    • What will you primarily be using the keyboard for? Typing? Gaming?
    • Do you stream, record video, or do audio/video conferencing?
    • Will you bother others around you (or yourself) if the keyboard is noisy?
    • Do you prefer mechanical keyboards to membrane?
    • Do you care about LED illumination optimization?
    • Do you need USB pass-through and audio pass-through ports?
    • Do you want macro keys attached to the keyboard?
    • How often do you use the numpad and do you really need it?
    • Do you have any type of RSI or pain associated with your arms, hands, or fingers?
  20. If you can check out some stores and see which one feels best for you. Everyone is different. I went to a best buy and demo'd out a few before I made up my mind.
