I still hope that the stargazer comes out before 2017 I would really love to have that thing on my desktop! Basicly first get a big audience, then make money with product placement or advertisement.
This has to be coming out really soon. I'd say this is going to be a pretty penny around $199. The features it has out does any camera.
Head Tracking The Stargazer has the features necessary for head tracking. I am very surprised that Razer has not integrated and is marketing the Stargazer for this very big and growing market. Being able to move your head slightly and have the screen move and focus to what you are looking at instead of using a Mouse or Hat/switch for that function. Adds to the 6 degrees of freedom most gaming is shooting for. The OSVR has the software they should be able to easily add it to the Stargazer.
That's amazing. I wonder if people would watch a 40-year old, new to PC gaming, who is admittedly not all that great with the keyboard/mouse style of gaming. Maybe it would be a specialty thing that young folks go watch to troll the heck out of it (did I use 'troll' in the right context?). (Edit)**Not that 40 is old by any stretch of the imagination, but I feel like one of those stereotypical old people with new technology with this stuff. I used to live around the corner from one of the producers of the original Starcraft, when we were younger, and I would go over to his house and play Intellivision, which was new at the time.**
Been waiting 7 months for this... But can anyone tell me if the removal of the background have been improved in these 7 months? If you look at videos of reviews from 7 months ago the removal of the background didnt do very well.
Well seen some videos up. The gestures though, will be funny if you can use it for abilities in games.
Hmmmm, If i ever kick start my streaming activities i will probs consider getting and using this :3 Seems pretty cool
I wish I knew about this 2 months ago. I bought a webcam for $30 less 2 months ago but I definitely would've paid the extra $30 to get this.
Does the Stargazer work with tripods like the Logitech C920? My C920 has a threaded mount that works with most all tripods. I use it with a Joby desktop tripod.
Stargazer is shipping from Amazon now for anyone who is interested. I had preordered through Amazon at the end of last week. Came in yesterday already. In case anyone is looking for availability before the Razer store has it. Solid webcam. Windows Hello works well. It gets detected as an Intel SR300. It's actually smaller than I had anticipated based on photos. Has a nice braided USB cable like all Razer devices. Overall I don't think I could ask for a lot more out of a webcam. Also you get the same 3mo Gamecaster Pro License with it like you do with all the Seiren stuff. Yes, I believe so. There's a hole on the bottom of the little piece that would sit on the back of a monitor/laptop to hold it in place. I didn't catch if it was threaded, but I'm 90% sure it's a threaded mount for a tripod.
