Neat webcam, but I think I saw it somewhere in the 200$ range.. But much for my taste but still really cool that it does so much.
Wow... i"m amazed thats some really nice piece of tech.... Should be really useful to streamers and youtubers ...
While it would be *nice*, the C920 currently also only does 1080p@30fps. Considering the camera will be used primarily for casting your face into a stream, or mapping your face for a game, my question is *why* would you need 60fps at 1080p? You're shrinking your head for streaming as it is so you don't take up the whole screen, so running at 720p instead of 1080p would go completely unnoticed.
When people tell razer to make a standard razer webcam to match the rest of their setup, Razer goes above and beyond and makes this. amazing.
That's true I had considered it. However, if you think I'll spend 200 on a webcam just for my face alone you are mistaken, good sir.
is anyone gonna do a comparison between the C920 and Stargazer? It'd be great if someone did do a in-depth comparison between the two
I read somewhere that it has a skylake-processor requirement. Can some1 tell me if this is true, and if it is: is it just a function that's locked behind that sysreq? Can't imagine you can't use the stargazer at all..
Looks awesome! I'm very excited for it's release. Will it have any SDKs or something similar to work with the OSVR headset?
I think the price point is really good (if it's $200) because if I recall correctly I saw the Intel Real Sense camera kit from Intel priced at $150 back when I first heard of the project.
