I really expected more from Razer. Come on guys. Mac is the new platform of choice. Get with it.
Hi there,

I can't have my Razer Naga Pro fully working on Mac OS Monterey because Synapse 3 has no support for Mac.
Fortunately I can use BT connection and use it as a standard mouse, however I can't set hotkeys, which is the main reason for me to have a mouse such like that.

I am very disappointed that a product such as this one come with no compatibility for Mac users. I should have stick to the Logitech G604 which had all these functions properly working...
Razor makes my favorite gaming peripherals, but I finally gave up waiting for Razer to support Mac. Somehow Logitech, Corsair, and other vendors can all figure out how to make configuration software & drivers for current versions of MacOS. I regretfully gave away my 3 Razer mice plus an Orbweaver to my son who uses Windows for his high school.

FWIW, I bought some new hardware, and can confirm SteelSeries mice and its iCue config software works great under Ventura.

If Razer gets their act together regarding Mac, I'll come back to the brand. But I'm not holding my breath.
Just switched to a Logitech G815 and G502 X keyboard and mouse, sadly leaving behind my Razer equivalents. Swore I'd never go back to Logitech after their mice developed the double-click failing on me, but here I am. I will miss my Basilisk, but at least Logitech hardware and software is made available and supported on Mac.

I’m a software engineer switching to the ridiculously superior macbook pro. It’s a shame you have to choose between a good laptop - windows ones are useless without a power source - or good peripherals

i love razer,i also have a lots of davices of razer for my pc,but i love my macbook too! so i wanna they work well on mac please!

SteerMouse fixes the button issue quite well on osx (read the faq if something is not detected). After installation it sits on the bottom of System Settings.  it took me a long time to find this software, too long to be deprived on a mac of a power tool I had used daily on PC. and I’m not even a gamer, I feel crippled without many keyboard shortcuts and macros.I cannot even use any other mouse than a Razer Naga anymore, on mac I switched to the touchpad and ended up with a nerve pain in my forearm ;P If a likely single one programmer can make a software that lets us program the buttons, why would it be not possible for Razer? At least release a tool, separate from Synapse, that would let osx users configure the buttons. Who cares about RGB anyway? it’s the buttons that make this mouse powerful.

I saw something about a workaround by turning off apple's new security feature temporarily in order to use synapse on MAC, I will try that for now.

Did this work? Cause Synapse 2 doesn’t support the Naga Pro, only way I found is to configure the Mouse in windows and get back to Mac...
Just checking in to say I am also waiting for an update to arrive.

I made do with the buggy experience until now, but since the upgrade to Big Sur synapse doesn't even detect that devices are connected. I sometimes get the overlay randomly appearing with the name of a profile I had registered, but they don't take effect nor can they be changed since the software no long detects devices at all.

Would love an update with at least a time line on this project. Are there any resources being directed to this at all? Its been years of "maybe sort of working" on fixing the mac side, and now things are completely broken.
haha good one mate... its Razer... you can configure the keypad on windows and use it on Mac.

From my experience there will never be a solution cause Mac is a niche and doesn't bring money.
Maybe this is more about Razer using Synapse 3 to do something that Apple isn't cool with.

I'd imagine that they'd make it loud & clear if Apple was screwing them around. :wink_:

Razer what is going on? I love your products and just recently got a Basilisk V3 and now find that I can't configure it the way I want because I'm a Mac user.

Unfortunately it doesn't work via Parallels over Windows for ARM either. Then give us the opportunity to offer a good macOS software.

We all support you as a company and buy your products.

Someone found this. The thread was locked so I am reposting it here. Confirmed it is working. A little clunky but I am sure you guys can figure it out. No button assignment, but colors, battery level and detection worked for my Naga Pro on Mac 10.14.6 Mojave https://github.com/1kc/razer-macos

I was pretty annoyed as well that I could not control the colors and such on my Blackwidow Elite on my Mac because Synapse 3 for Mac does not exist and Synapse 2 does not have support for their device. Its been years and the lack of support is extremely annoying.
This software does work though, I can confirm, I just set it up on my MBP running OS X 11.5.2, was able to set the color and such no problem. Thank you for the link 🙂
Yeah... I think alot of you have droped the ball on Synapse 3 for Mac. It is so dissapointing... there are no words. Its like the whole community here, does not exist. Razer happily sales hardware to Mac-Idiots, so they can build funny chairs, fantastic masks, idiotic mascots and beautiful company-glass-houses... well graz to you razer. you screwed us well. the good thing... there are plenty of mice out there no one uses... still in mint condition. so in 50 years from now, you have alot of exhibits to put in museums around the world.
Just bought a Kraken Kitty RGB headset and didn't realize there was no Synapse 3 support for MacOS. I can't even use Synapse 2 because it isn't compatible with my headset.I use to think Razer was cutting edge and made quality products. As a streamer and a radio broadcaster, I am seriously disappointed in this company.

Returning the product immediately. Never going to buy Razer for myself (Mac user) or my husband (PC user) again.
This is nuts ... I have same issue with synapse 3 not available for Mac and Synapse 2 for Mac not supporting my new Blackadder V2 mouse. Great mouse, but if I cannot program the buttons it goes back to Amazon and I'm switching to Logitech.
I've been a Razer Naga user since the Epic (Trinity's buttons suck in comparison) and I'm gutted that Razer has completely abandoned OsX support. I used Synapse 2.0 Legacy for years to make my work more efficient, and now I'm back to the drawing board.

Come on, Razer, give us Mac users some options!
please devellop the synapse 3 for macos 11.4 ... I can't use It and i can't use my Razer tartarus V2 😞
Just bought my 4th Deathadder and this is the last Razer product I will ever buy. Coming home just to discover that they didn't bother to make drivers for my OS isn't something I will forget.
Hi,

Just in case somebody actually reading this thread. Few days ago I bought RAZER KIYO PRO as highly recommended webcam. Today, when I connected it to my MacBook Pro, first thing I tried to search for software and in result found this forum. I searched more and it looks like as of today there is no software available for KIYO PRO on MacOS. Camera works, but I have no option to enabled HDR or change any settings.

Outcome: Returning it back.

P.S. Maybe SYNAPSE is not needed for webcam? Maybe it is a better way and you don't need to put all your hardware setup in one app?
great, did not know that!
Up!!! Razer Naga Pro, same situation.... Razer come on!!! Help Mac OS users! Look at new laptops on Mac OS we need you...
Yes.. At least that!
Just signed up to say how utterly disappointed I am with your company as I just bought a mouse from you.

I will NEVER buy anything from you again, it‘s a joke how you treat your customers. Heck, I will make sure that nobody I know will also buy anything from you ever again.
